PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS MECHANIC SHOP. They only fix general issues when becomes to diagnose problems, is not the best place. I have situation my pick up truck was shutting Off at middle on the road. this place was putting the computer to check engine light, unable to find the problem, they were only selling me service and charging parts to my car didn't need it and not fixing the problem, Owner of the place refused to refund some money back. I Spent close $3000.00 without success also they were trying to selI me new tires and muffling etc. I decided to bring my car to Nisssan dealer for 2nd opinion, the fixed the issue in the first time, it was an issue with the gas pump and crankshaft position sensors. read more

My son had borrowed my treasured 2005 Scion XB to drive roundtrip from Englewood in Charlotte County to North Miami Beach for a few days. On the way down the dashboard lit up, and almost stopped running as my son rather dangerously limped off the freeway. After letting it rest a while, he was able to get it to the nearest auto repair shop - Friendly Motor. It was however closed for the evening. Next morning I was able to reach someone at Friendly who had noticed the vehicle and correctly interpreted the situation. Back in Englewood, I had assumed overheating and a possibly damaged engine. I had already got an estimate to have a transporter bring it home. But that was not necessary thanks to Isaac, a superb and extremely honest mechanic. He could have diagnosed anything and charged me anything under the circumstances. He had found 3 issues that contributed to the overheating - low oil, low coolant, and defective radiator cap. He fixed it all at a very fair price (too fair in my opinion) and the car has run like new ever since. Thanks Isaac, and thanks Friendly - I wished I lived near Miami, to have Friendly maintain this treasured car with over 250K miles - but alas, I would need more reasons to abandon the wonderful town of Englewood Florida for the Scion alone! read more

I have been a long time customer of this "establishment"...almost 8 solid years of brining my car exclusively for any and all services. Today, 23 May 2018, Tuesday, I bring it in for a regular oil change and am informed the air conditioner compressor is malfunctioning, same air compressor I had replaced last May 2017. The new attendant, some guy named Andres, goes into the system and "finds no record of this repair." BTW, he addressed me as "BRO"...no sir, I AM NOT YOUR BROTHER!!! This post could go on forever, but what I want to left said is this, not only have I been a loyal customer, but I have referred maaaany colleagues to Friendly, now not-so-friendly motors. Don't go here they know nothing about European cars. I wish I could give them zero stars but this app won't let you post a review without selecting 1 star. I have been to this place 3 times in total the first time was for a tune up on my 2008 c300 Mercedes I didn't have any issue I go back the second time for an oil change and it was discovered I needed my back tire changed I asked how much to change all 4 they gave me a economical price I agreed for them to change it. After they changed them my tire pressure monitor alerted me it was inoperative. I googled how could this happen it stated online the only way this can happen after changing all 4 tires that the person who changed the tires broke the sensor and the only way this can happen is if the person changing the tire does not know what they are doing. Which is obvious because I have been getting used tires for the past 2 years and never had this happen to me. The front desk man with the little hat on his head said come back tomorrow they will fix the problem. I came back waited 3 hours the same front desk person asked me if the car tells me which one of the sensor need to be changed ofcourse not. They clearly don't have the proper tools to handle changing the tires on my car. It stated online they are supposed to have a tool that can tell them which one of the sensor is not working. Then the front desk guy claims they fixed it but the computer on my car has to be reset and they can't do it because their computer is broken? He then tells me he will send me to another location of that is 1 hour away to do it and he will call me to let me know what time I can go to the other location. I called back the same day at 3pm and I was told that person left for the day and won't be back till Thursday. And the person that answered the phone has no idea about what I'm talking about never asked my name to look up my information on the system and then told me his boss didn't live in the country and he had no number for anyone that runs this place to assist me. I spent a total of 700 and these people are acting like I did something to them. NEVER AGAIN read more

I am very disappointed with Friendly Motors. I was having some issues with my back wheel so I went to get it checked out and a wrong diagnosis was given. I was driving around with an under lining issue that was never detected after paying almost $300 and the back frame of my car had broken in half! They are Inexperienced workers who don't admit not knowing what's wrong with your car. My car was left over night supposedly to call in a welder from outside to look at it and when I received my car the hood was locked shut with hand prints of oil and dirt all over my seats, rugs and doors and the Manager said that no one had touched the car. I was refused a full refund. I was only accredited half of my money back as a credit that I had to use in the store so, I agreed to allow them to do a simple oil change and when I drove away my engine started smoking! read more

The service seems good at first. When we got the vehicle back the problem wasn't really fixed, and furthermore - We found another problem on the vehicle ! I go a lot to friendly motors but for some strange reason every time I get my car back there would be returned with a new problem. Requested a tire rotation and balance. I am very happy with this place. After asking for a tire rotation and balance at 11am The previous Morning at Phoenix auto care I was told it would take 2 hours. 3 hours later I ask if my car was finished to be told they still hadn't started on it. I was promised it would be finished by 5pm which again it wasn't. This time I was told that the car needed $2000 worth of work not a rotation and balance and it couldn't be done that same day. I was told doing a rotation and balance wouldn't fix the shake I was getting at 65m/hr. So after waiting the whole day there I walked out with nothing done to my car. The next day I took it to Friendly Motors and they had my car fixed within 30mins. All it needed was a rotation and balance as originally requested. Super happy they didn't have the same unethical work code as the previous place I went to. read more
