I'm happy to say I finally found what I was looking for with Christian Brothers Automotive. Lenny and Scott took great care of my car, and fixed everything I needed in a timely fashion. They were able to do front and back suspension, as well as replace a part that was giving off a check engine light in less than 24 hours. I greatly appreciated the correspondence throughout the entire process to let me know the updates with my car, and I thought it was very convenient that they offer a complimentary shuttle so you don't have to wait around while your car is getting worked on. They did such a great job that I came back the very next day to get front brakes and rotors done that they also got done in an extremely timely fashion. All of these parts needed to get done on my car for a while, and I was completely aware of it, so I know I wasn't taken advantage of like a lot of other mechanics tend to do to people. They kindly let me know of other services my car could benefit from in the not to distant future, but they weren't pushy at all for me to do it right away. Very satisfied! Anyhow they had called and told me they were really busy and I did not know so I went to five star transmission. I was very upset, Because I was probably not gonna be able to get my car looked at that day. I was so worried about the transmission. I was able to talk to Wayne and he was willing to look at my car let me know if I was having any issues with the transmission. I thought that was so kind for him to go out of his way on a busy day. He drove my car and thoroughly went over the transmission and all the things I would be looking at if I had transmission problems. For months we had trouble with the trunk lid popping open on our Honda Accord when we'd go over a…read morebump or railroad tracks, and it was difficult to get the trunk lid to stay latched. Finally we had to use a bungee cord to keep the trunk lid down. We took our car to Paul's Automotive and they were able to order and install a new latch and now we are happy to be able to use the trunk without fear of it popping open. Paul's Automotive is a place to go for a lot more than an oil change or a "Check Engine" light. They definitely can take care of all your car care needs!

The appointment was scheduled through my warranty company for an electrical issue involving my car's radio volume. I arrived at 11:15 a.m. and chose to wait at the shop because I had already missed a day of work and had taken an Uber from 45 minutes away. I was told the diagnostic test would take a couple of hours. By 3:30 p.m., I still had not received any update on my vehicle. I noticed my car had been sitting for some time, and when I asked what had been found and whether I could review the diagnostic estimate being sent to my warranty company, I was not provided any clear information. After asking multiple times for an update and a timeline, Matt, the store manager, became condescending rather than addressing my concerns. The owner, Jade ("J"), then joined the conversation. Instead of providing answers, he appeared unsure of the status of my vehicle and had to ask his staff what was going on. He then asked me to step outside, despite the fact that I had remained calm, respectful, and was simply seeking information about my vehicle after waiting for several hours. Outside, the owner stated that he felt "uncomfortable." I found this troubling, as I had not been loud, disrespectful, or confrontational. As a black man this is definitely not ok. Rather than acknowledging the lack of communication, the wasted workday, and the inconvenience of being without transportation, my concerns were dismissed. The conversation became more uncomfortable when the owner raised his voice. I calmly asked him not to do so, and although he later apologized, the overall experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. My frustration was never about the repair itself. It was about the poor communication, lack of transparency, excessive wait time, and the way I was treated when asking reasonable questions about my vehicle.
