Admittedly,…read moreI ( Jonny Angel ) was a bit apprehensive when she arrived there in 2020 & then Covid hit to make matters worse. My trust and appreciation for everyone grew as the years rolled by. I can't say enough good today ( one week after Mom passed away) about my interactions with everyone there. I was in the facility hundreds of times as the initial diagnosis of 6 months to live stretched into 50 plus months ! I can't help but wonder if the professional employees/ caring staff had something to do with her persevering through strokes , COVID , Parkinson's & more. Thank you for all the support , hugs , laughs and tears at the end. The Oswald family and I will never forget the love , care & help provided by Aaron Manor for the entirety of Moms stay . May the " only true God " bless and support you guys in the future. I highly recommend this facility, these services and staff to anyone in a situation like ours. Mom and the family are were filled with gratitude and I'm 100# sure she would have approved of this messages.

I have posted this review also under "Fairport Baptist Home" as this was the facility's previous…read morename and is still known to many by that name. I will start by stating that the majority of the nurses and aides were caring and pleasant, however there were issues...some worse than others and I won't write about every one of them. My mom was there for a short amount of time on the 'rehab' floor. She sadly passed away at the end of April. The lack of consistency was concerning..the day staff and the night staff did not pass on information. I had raised issues and they would sometimes have no clue what had been told to or asked of the previous shift. The biggest problem was that due to the staff not following WRITTEN requests placed in plain view in my mom's room and MULTIPLE people being spoken to so many times that I cannot count, they lost one of a pair of hearing aids that cost $2000 (they were specialty ones because my mom was totally deaf in one ear. As if losing one wasn't bad enough, the aids she had were no longer made so to replace them both so she had FULL hearing, it would have cost me $2000! I cannot afford that.) The loss occurred in early MARCH and despite MULTIPLE verbal requests, MULTIPLE emails to their staff, including the medical director AND their administrator SEVERAL times, nothing has been done to address this loss. To make matters even worse (and unbelievable) in the last 2 weeks of her life there, they LOST her denture. Sounds crazy but it's true. That also has never been addressed nor any responsibility taken. The fact that my mom passed is irrelevant. I feel like they ignored it while she was alive as long as they could and now are dismissing it altogether. I have been ignored and outright lied to and dismissed by the staff about these problems. I am sorry that I have to write this review but it is so frustrating when a loss like this is IGNORED. And I have filed a formal complaint with the state.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after months of dealing with a local nursing and…read morerehabilitation facility, I feel compelled to share my experience. My 92-year-old mother was admitted for care, and throughout her stay I have struggled to obtain clear communication, consistent answers, and meaningful involvement in her care despite being her Power of Attorney. I was repeatedly provided documentation from the facility referencing cognitive concerns and her inability to safely return home independently. Despite those concerns, documents continued to be presented directly to my mother for signature after I specifically requested that paperwork requiring signatures be directed to me and/or her attorney. When I raised concerns, I was told the paperwork was "just paperwork stopping PT." I later learned that documents affecting her Social Security direct deposit had also been processed. Months later, I am still seeking complete records and answers regarding what was presented, who presented it, and how decisions were made. I have repeatedly requested participation in care planning discussions and a care plan meeting that includes me. Obtaining information has often required multiple emails, phone calls, and follow-up requests. What concerns me most is not a single mistake, but a pattern of poor communication, lack of transparency, delayed responses, and an apparent disregard for family involvement in important decisions affecting vulnerable residents. I will say that there are individual staff members, therapists, nurses, and aides who have been kind and helpful. Unfortunately, those positive interactions have been overshadowed by administrative issues that remain unresolved. Families deserve clear communication, transparency, and confidence that concerns will be addressed promptly. That has not been my experience.

But after a few weeks I had a young lady arrive, very polite but she smelled of cigarette smoke so much I had to have her leave. I was not comfortable anymore with them and made mention of discontinuing services. Unannounced and without notice a manger came into my home to try and get me to continue using them. It seemed desperate so I ended service, only to get an aggressive and unprofessional phone call wanting answers! And to top it off, this company charged me a extra $600 for ending their services without enough notice. I called to get an invoice of all I paid for and to this day, almost a year now, nothing. Very unprofessional. Found another home care service in town that was far far better.
