This was the worst experience. The doctor took xrays, said feet bad, tested the nerves in legs and feet, said he would prescribe a gel and give me a shot of cortizone. When my husband asked 2 questions, 1) what was in the shot and 2) what was in the gel, he got up and stated "I am not able to help your wife" and walked out! In the receptionist area my husband asked what he said to offend or up set him and his reply was, " I am not able to help your wife you will have to leave!" I am waiting for the bill and statement from Social Security. If he charged me for anything other than the xray and office visit, I will turn it over to social security for possible insurance fraud I should have looked up the reviews first. read more

Make sure you check with your insurance to see if you have co-pay.Per my insurance I did not have co-pay but Friendly foot care charged a co pay every time I had an appointment. I continued to tell them I did not as well as my insurance. But it was not honored by Friendly foot care. read more

Waited over an hour as a first time visit and never saw the doctor. I drove over an hour only to sit and wait. Not even an apology.

Waited a month for a 9:30am appointment. I arrived at 9:14 and told them I was outside. Lady on telephone told me that I was supposed to be there at 9am and that she would have to reschedule me. I guess 16 minutes early isn't good enough. They want you to be there 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. I told the receptionist to not bother rescheduling me as I found another Dr nearby who is seeing me tomorrow. read more

The worst experience ever!!! Do not believe the other reviews at all. Probably fake. Very rude staff and lying doctor. Said our foot inserts are not expensive, about 400$. That was for ONE. He should have said our inserts for your son's feet are 800$. Today they couldn't see me because I have not payed my previous and only visit fee from about month ago. They were expecting me to pay over 500$ on the spot so My son can be seen by the doctor( after I explained to them I have to call the insurance to see why they haven't payed) This is absurd, never had experience like this with any other doctors office... I walk in this morning with my son and a coffee mug in my hands...the front desk lady says "take that to your car and than we can help you" so rude, no niceness at all .... That is the weirdest office in the world -The doctor, the front desk, the billing lady... unusually rude and plain weird. (The xray lady was nicer) Oh and one more thing; on the visit a month ago he couldn't find my son's reflexes so he recommended neurologist pediatrician and my son's pediatric doctor on his wellness check a week ago found it. Everyone there is GREAT. If it was not for Friendly Foot Care I would still be in a lot of pain. I have CRPS in the left foot and Dr. Nirenberg has helped me a lot. this so called doctor is a joke ! do not go to him . i broke my foot and he did a ultra sound on my foot duhhh . no it was a break . the ulta sound was i swear straight out of the eighties! then he wouldnt give me a boot unless i coughed up 60$$$ who does that with great ins ? they where ready to have me walk out of their office with a broken foot!! they did not care one bit. after it was healed he told me i had flat feet and i needed insoles well then i asked is it covered by my insurance oh yes she said !!!! i was like great ok well no they were not and to get them i had to pay 400$ for one ! so thats 800$$$$ for 2 of them ! wht are you kidding me they were not covered by insurance i was lied to do not go to him he cares only anout money and his articles about big foot this guy is a jewish joke ! only cares about money not your health beware now I'm being sued wth read more

I am a 61 year old male. I take good care of myself and in fact I am a distance runner. My wife got me a gift certificate for new running shoes. She knew that taking care of my feet included quality shoes. I went to Friendly Foot Care when I found a spot on my foot. I believed it to be a callous or a wart. The doctor decided that I must have had a foreign object in my foot. He suggested that he remove it and also send it for biopsy. The worst decision I've made in quite some time was to go forward with the surgery. It was indeed a wart that most doctors would have removed with a local anesthetic in their office. Instead it was just a $10000 procedure. Almost four months later and I am still hobbled. Once he fleeced my insurance the aftercare was nonexistent. I have another problem with the same foot that has become worse since the surgery. Probably because I have changed my gait to deal with the discomfort from the surgery. I have an appointment with a different podiatrist in a couple of weeks to try to get this straightened out. Unfortunately running has stopped as walking is hard enough. I am old enough to know that if you feel like you have been taken you have. I received a email from them asking for me to leave a review, I replied that I was in quite a bit of discomfort and that I was going to wait until I was more confident about the outcome. I've decided that I can now write a concise review. Especially since my response to their request fell on deaf ears. read more

I seen Dr. Minhas for ankle pain. He was great. I received an injection that didn't hurt and i was relieved of pain. Even though I don't care for the rude check in receptionist who always has an attitude and acts like she hates her job. Every visit she is rude and never smiling. I seen Dr. Nirenberg twice and that was enough. My right foot has been aching for quite some time now (about a year). At the first visit Dr. Nirenberg noticed that there was some fluid above one of my ligaments, and did an ultra sound on it to see if it had torn, he said it didn't but wanted to order a MRI of my right foot to see why it was happening. I went to the MRI, and brought the disc back to them (which they also kept the disc), he reviewed it for some time, came back and said, "that's the best MRI I've seen in a long time, and had no explanation of why my foot has been hurting, other then to order his custom orthotics for $400+ and that it's from standing on my feet all day, and getting old. I'm 27 years old! He didn't check how I stand on my feet, how I walk, or anything other then looking at my feet from the chair, and taking an X-ray, and that ultra sound. Also now I have a bill for $97 from them after my insurance? And kept saying "ok thank you" "ok thank you" to everything. Polite, but off. read more

The doctor would see for a few minutes and give me cortizone shots (which didn't do anything for me) when I came in and told me they barley cost anything. I was very surprised when I received a 500 dollar bill in the mail. I didn't pay all of it and now they're suing Over a couple hundred bucks. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

After spending more than a year in treatment, my feet didn't get better. Dr. Nirenberg was more interested in having u come back for shots n not solving my issue. I trusted him with my feet. He perform surgery, on tarsal tunnel on left foot. Convinced me that my problem came from there. Turned out my foot was in more pain after surgery. I can't believe they call this place Friendly Foot Care When they are everything but Friendly !! No one would help me with the door while I pushed my mom in a wheel chair. The lady at the front desk was rude and abrupt to everyone. Ordering everyone to stand at a distance & use hand sanitizer like you wear a little kid. Used highlighter on things you didn't fill out. not a friendly experience at all, the Doctor didn't have a good bed side manner either. I felt rushed and had a few questions I wanted to asked him and he already left the room. Pretty good when We waited over an hour to see him but he came and gone out of the room so fast. I canceled the fallow up visit and found a better doctor across the street. That Doctor took the time and answered all my question and everyone in the office had a better bedside manner not like this office. Do your self a favor and go to a different doctor. Been a patient since maybe 2013 or 2014. I've had a lot of issues with my feet over the years (thanks, Mom, for the lovely genetics, lol) and I've always felt well taken care of here. I've had a number of surgeries and procedures done and I feel like Dr. N is always very thorough, kind, and concerned with my pain and activity levels. I don't think I've met a doctor with better bedside manners and who is as thorough in his researching of the issue. He has always been willing to answer any questions I have and even pulled up mri or xray pictures if I needed some clarification. The procedures I've had done have helped dramatically lesson my pain. The staff are also very nice and know me by name at this point. Plus, sometimes I have to come with my two children and they are very patient with my kids. They also have a reading and play area for children in the waiting room. I won't go anywhere else and I recommend this practice to any who will listen. :) read more

I for one have never had an issue with Dr. N or any of his staff. He has ALWAYS treated me with respect. Also respects anyone that is with me. Dr. Nirenberg is rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. After not sufficiently explaining a procedure to my 91-yr-old mother (who, by the way, is very sharp), he actually walked out on her when she became frightened, telling her "meet me up front" and "we just don't mesh." There is no excuse for this behavior, and to act that way to an elderly woman is awful. If I lived in Indiana, I'd give him a piece of my mind, personally! I made an appointment there to get my foot looked at. The staff refused to answer any questions about the information being requested. They provided inaccurate information about how information is used. If you don't care about the privacy of your medical records he may be a good doctor, I don't know, if you do care about privacy of medical information then I can tell you they have a lot to learn.
