The only place I know to get Polish perogies. They do have a very large selection of Russian foods and a bakery on site.

They have good Russian food. Anything from canned tomatoes to different meats and cheeses. I loved different Russian candies.

WOW. Tacoma Boys might genuinely have the best grocery selection I've seen in Washington State…read more The quality AND the pricing are what really got me. The produce section is incredible, the meat selection might be the best I've seen at a grocery store, and somehow the prices are still surprisingly reasonable for the quality and variety they carry. And it just keeps going. Fresh florals, pumpkins and seasonal finds, specialty groceries, pantry staples and seemingly every random thing you suddenly decide you need once you're inside. This is absolutely the kind of place where you walk in needing three things and end up wandering every aisle because there's something else worth looking at. The store itself is also one of the nicest grocery stores I've shopped in from an organization and presentation standpoint. Everything is beautifully shelved, easy to navigate and thoughtfully laid out, so even with the insane amount of product, it never feels chaotic or overwhelming. The shopping flow is SO good. The staff is also TOP TIER. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, which somehow made an already impressive first visit even better. If you actually enjoy grocery shopping or cooking, good luck leaving quickly. And they're open 24 hours?! Being able to get genuinely great produce, quality meat, fresh flowers and specialty groceries at literally any hour is kind of insane. Honestly, I feel dumb for grocery shopping anywhere else, especially living in Tacoma. Tacoma Boys may have just redefined what a 5-star grocery store looks like for me. 5/5. No notes.

Can't walk in here without spending $160. Sourdough bread. Peanuts. Cabernet Sauvignon. A couple bottles of water. Excellent service. The produce manager was fun to chat with. Excellent people.

    * Closing Store Notice* It was announced two weeks ago that…read morethis Fred Meyer store is closing by the parent company Kroger. This store felt like it wasn't too long ago that this store got remodeled which left it more confusing to find items in general but eventually the kinks got worked out as I learned where items were. Fred Meyer had higher prices than many other of their competitors on various soft lines and hard lines. Clothes were noticeably higher than the competitors. I imagine part of the reason it is closing is due to high theft but I assumed it wouldn't be as high compared to the now closed 72nd location. Perhaps it's also a factor that Kroger is miffed with a failed merger. I didn't go here too terribly often more recently but I did go here on occasion to get knee braces and distilled water for my C-Pap machine. This leaves just a smaller supermarket location in town and the selection is poorer compared to a regular Fred Meyer store. This will leave a regular store for shoppers to be redirected to University Place or Spanaway.

I've been here a few times when I'm in Tacoma!!…read more The grocery store had some pretty good deals, much better than Safeway, and it's pretty big. And besides groceries, there are lots of other things in here, just like I remember it, from back in the day. There is a homeless element in the parking lot, but they seemed to keep to themselves. Located close to Foss High School, Cheney Stadium, and the Air BNB I was staying at!!!
