I went to get a pedicure and the woman that was there at the time butchered my feet... First I sat in the chair and, there was no liner in the tub I was hesitant to ask first if it was clean because, it appeared clean but, I did and she told me it was. So, she began doing my feet removing my gel polish and, she filed down the gel after soaking my feet but, she did not remove all the gel she filed the tip of my nail and, the base a little but, left a mound like shape on my nails (Kinda like in picture 1 ) . So, she continues as I'm watching and, moves on to trimming and, shaping. While she was filing my nails she was filing incorrectly at the tip with the file slanted (like in pic 9,10) as opposed to straight (like in pic 11) which, continued to make my toenail crooked and round. I asked for a square shape and she DID NOT listen . She acknowledged me asking for that shape and, looked me in my face and, everything then continued to rush and nod her head as if she understood. Also, as I corrected her filing mistakes she temporarily did what I asked which was file the middle to make it straight and square then, continued to file the sides of my nails rounding them out. So, she trimmed my nail down to length and cut and filed the corners of my nail into some odd shape (EX:Pic 2) not to mention she left the other toes crooked and in the same state. I asked her to make my nails straight because previous nail shops have not done a good job but she left them slanted (like in pic 3-6) as oppose to (pic 7,8, and 11). So, I let her move on because, it wasn't that bad. Then, she started doing my cuticles I asked her if she could remove all of them because, I know nail shops say you should leave some but , I prefer all them cut off. I'm melanated so, near my cuticle is a little darker than my skin-tone almost like the dead cuticle like, the pictures. She proceeded to act like she didn't see parts of the cuticle she left after playfully plucking at my cuticle with the cuticle trimmer. I could see that she was not holding the cuticle trimmer in the way that you should to be able to cut all the cuticle ( with the pointed side down instead of straight which is wrong). She left them like (PIC 12) instead of (PIC 13). Also, she told me she so called drilled and buffed them in the beginning but all she did was drill underneath the cuticle so they would lift up then, buff on top. When I asked her could she clean up the cuticle because there was more dead skin she started cutting skin off the side of my toe (EX pic 14) . In which it started becoming painful as you would guess. Then, I told her to stop which also left me with a skin hangnail. At that point I Then said I was about to go somewhere else after the first time, not to mention which she acted like she didn't hear me but, started to speed up while working after the first time. So, when I said it the second time she got mad and essentially told me no and started saying I'd have to pay her "for the work she did" . She started cussing at me saying "What the f*ck am I talking about" after I explained I wasn't paying for unsatisfactory work. She then continued to profile me saying "she knew I'd do that" which is crazy because I'm African American and I left. Overall the experience was very unpleasant and I'm being nice by even giving 2 stars. I've had similar experiences with local nail shops also, and I will be letting people know how they treat people in their establishments from now on. read more
