The diagnostic did not cover some key tests I expected as part of a standard diagnostic. They failed to do a full scan of all systems and failed to check previous codes that were causing problems as well. When I asked about further testing, they wanted to charge me extra. I ended up taking my car back without getting any repairs done. I feel like I didn't get the full picture of what was going on with my car. Also seems like they upcharge significantly on basic parts compared to other shops. Would not recommend.

I just moved to the Saint Cloud area from the cities. I had a reliable mechanic (basically a 3 man…read moreoperation) I had been using for the last 10 years. And he's awesome. But now that I'm up here it's not really feasible to drive an hour south, drop off my car for a day or two, and figure out a ride back up here or renting a car. So I had to look for someone up here. Mike's Repair looked well reviewed so I took a chance on them. Turns out they are awesome too! I appreciated that when I called someone picked up right away in the evening and got me scheduled for first thing the next morning. Car was fixed the same day. Price was reasonable. A bit more than I'm used to, but I know the guy I used to go to was really giving me a sweetheart deal. I think Mike's gave me good value for the money I paid. I have 240k+ miles on this Civic of mine and it just keeps chugging along. So I'm sure I'll be back to Mike's as it needs more work. I'll definitely return!

My 2014 Honda Odyssey was due for a timing belt/water pump and after checking all the forums and…read morewatching all the YouTube videos I knew I wanted to order my own parts that had been recommended by all those sources. I also ordered a serpentine belt, an oil filter, and a jug of Mobile One. Paul's Auto Service had been recommended to me by a couple different people and I called to see if they would have a problem with me bringing my own parts and fluids, because some shops definitely don't like if you bring your own parts due to the mark up the shops charge for parts, so if you bring your own they don't get that money. Julie at Paul's said it wouldn't be a problem at all if I brought my own parts, so I got a quote and made an appointment. I dropped off the van and the keys a few days later right before they closed so they would have it to work on right away the next morning. They open at 8 AM and five hours later the van was done. When I went to pick her up they gave me all the old parts and Rob pointed out some wear and corrosion on the water pump and the tensioner that made me glad that I had taken care of this sooner rather than later. The price I was charged was a couple hundred dollars less than another shop in town that I had considered, and it was $1000 less than the Honda dealership in town quoted me. For me, getting automobile service work done is like going to the dentist. I dread it, but Greg the owner, (I don't know who Paul is or was, maybe Greg's dad) his wife Julie, and Rob the other mechanic were so nice and friendly and understanding and and it just couldn't have been a better experience. A very reasonable labor charge, a fast and reliable turnaround as promised, honesty, integrity, and such friendly service. I was a first-time customer, but they made me feel like I had been bringing my vehicles there for years. I am so happy to know where I WILL be bringing my vehicle for any and all service needs in the future.

Julie quickly returned my call and immediately put me at ease with her knowledge, courtesy and kindness. I appreciated her honestly and willingness to accommodate getting the car in and checked out. initially, the first appointment was to diagnose if it was indeed the blower motor, but they ended up completing the job (new blower motor) the same day and in only 3 hours, saving us a lot of money. They also replaced a very dirty cabin filter. I highly recommend Paul's Auto Service to everyone, especially if you have a difficult, timely repair. Pathetic and out to make a buck. I have worked with several shops in two, and twice, since my go-to…read more(Hy-Tech) has been booked out (probably because they treat their customers well), I've had to bring my car to Chapman's. Whereas Hy-Tech stands by their work (I've bought tires from them, one with a leak, which they replaced for free.), Chapman's trumps up charges, even when they provided no fruitful results. In Feb 2025, I called Hy-Tech with a P2647 code and faltering power on my Honda CRV 2009. Hy-Tech was busy, but gave some helpful suggestions to look into (VVT solenoid). When I brought the vehicle to Chapman's, they called after a few hours claiming that my issues were related to a recurring P0420 code (a recurring code on this vehicle) and tried to sell me the very expensive and relatively useless job of new catalytic converters. Tried to impress me with the diligence and extensive scanning with their diagnostics scanner, but failed to give any better suggestion than new cats, while even admitting that that was probably not the true problem and the small amount of oil burnt might likely foul the new cats anyway, rendering the whole fix useless. And they "were not able to replicate the faltering". Stupidly, I paid the $250 fee for failed diagnostics over the phone without asking for a price breakdown. When I picked up the vehicle after hours, the receipt showed $120 for Diagnostics, and $130 for the complete list of codes found (Air bag sensors, abnormal door lock voltages, etc.) MAYBE I would have wanted that information if I was driving a 2025 brand new vehicle, but not a 16 year old beater at 300,000 miles with an obvious and very specific issue. DON'T GO HERE. WASTE OF MONEY FOR INEXPERIENCED SERVICE THAT DOESN'T CARE FOR ITS CUSTOMERS.
