Bacon Mac and cheese tater tots

Fast! Tasty! Quite filling! Nothing is cheap in Disney but can't complain about the size of this serving.

*Great Vegetarian find at Disney World!* The Friar's Nook in Magic Kingdom is a quick service restaurant featuring hot dogs and tots. The vegan bratwurst was served in a flavorful pretzel bun with fried tater tots (which were greasy but in a good way!) The brat had a snap like a real sausage and was great topped with sauerkraut ketchup and mustard (all optional). Only down side was the wait, which was about 20 minutes. On the side I requested the cheese sauce as I split it with my vegan wife and I am not.

Mac and cheese with tots, bratwurst, and Buffalo chicken tots. All delicious! Needs more seating, I can't imagine how insane it would be to get a table if the parks were full!

Wailulu Bar & Grill - Polynesian Resort Lunch Review…read more Tucked inside Disney's Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Wailulu Bar & Grill delivers a standout lunch experience--especially if you're looking for something elevated but still relaxed. We sat at the bar for lunch, and from the start, the service set the tone. The bartenders were excellent--attentive, engaging, and consistently on top of everything without ever feeling rushed. The food leaned creative and satisfying. We started with a sweet potato hummus paired with breadfruit, which brought a unique twist and great texture. For mains, the fish of the day came served with green curry, chickpeas, and sweet potatoes--a well-balanced dish with bold flavor and a nicely cooked piece of fish. Drinks were equally solid. An Old Fashioned made with Woodford Reserve was smooth and well-executed, while a vodka spritz offered a lighter, refreshing option. This isn't a cheap meal, but the quality and portion sizes make it worth it. The combination of dishes was very filling, and overall, this stands out as one of the better bar-style meals on the north end of Walt Disney World. One of the underrated perks is the location. After your meal, you can walk through the Polynesian grounds to the Transportation and Ticket Center and hop directly on the monorail--saving time and avoiding the full loop, especially if you're heading back to EPCOT. Overall: Wailulu offers a relaxed but refined lunch experience with excellent service, creative dishes, and a convenient location--well worth the stop during a Disney day.

He asked if we were DVC members, which my sister is. She logged into her DVC account on the web version, and the waiter said that was not acceptable and she had to add the card to her wallet, which wasn't an option. He made her log into the app, which is no different than the web version. In a rude tone, he said "I'm so sorry that was such an inconvience for you." After this, we were treated horribly. We were spoken to with an attitude, he didn't check on us once and he would interact with other tables and purposely ignore us. Drinks were not refilled, straws were not offered and the whole experience was awful. We ended up asking for a manager, and one was not sent to our table. Instead, we had to flag one down. It unfortunately doesn't end there. My nieces food came out 20 minutes before our food. By the time our food arrived, they had finished their food. Other tables with kids received their food at the same time. I ordered the glass noodles and shrimp, which was fine. It really just tasted like salt, the shrimp were chewy and the portion was small. The manager removed the kids meals from our bill. I will not be back.

The menu is preset so be aware of that going in, but the menu is pretty kid (and adult) friendly as it's Thanksgiving themed. The interior is beautiful and it's a nice, relaxing spot to eat at for a break. Our waiter was very friendly and the food came out pretty quick. As a heads up this is an all you can eat establishment (for around $40-45 bucks a head) so you can eat to your heart's desire. The meal starts off with their house salad featuring greens, apples, cranberries, and cheese all tossed together. It was surprisingly much better than we thought it would be and if not for maximizing what we ate while there we wouldn't have minded getting more. Following up the salad is a feast of: roasted turkey, pot roast, pork loin, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and Mac and cheese. We absolutely dove in. The turkey was alright, not dry (a huge plus) with the pot roast being a much better option in our opinion. The pork loin was delicious with a nice sweet glaze on it. The mac and cheese likewise was good and creamy along with a savory and filling stuffing. The only misses we would say were the mashed potatoes which felt thin and flavorless and then the green beans which really just took up space. For dessert they have their oooey gooey toffee cake which is very sweet but admittedly difficult to put down after the main course. It's not overly sweet too which is nice to finish your meal on. By the end of our meal we were stuffed and ready to tackle the rest of the night. We would say for the price this might not be the best option for those doing Disney on a budget but if you are a pro at making buffets stretch then this is a decent deal. A solid, filling meal all around and one that is very palette friendly for all.

If you ever find yourself strolling through Magic Kingdom with a craving for comfort food that…read morefeels like Thanksgiving at Grandma's... let me point you straight to the duo of The Diamond Horseshoe and Liberty Tree Tavern. What many guests don't realize is that the Diamond Horseshoe isn't just a quick-service stop or a random overflow location--it's actually an extension of Liberty Tree Tavern, sharing the same kitchen and serving up the exact same all-you-care-to-enjoy feast. The difference? You're dining in a space that once hosted a full-on dinner show, complete with musical performances. Today, the stage still lives on with an automated piano, giving just a hint of that old-school Disney charm. Honestly, I would've loved to experience it in its heyday. Now let's talk about the real star of the show: the food. This is classic, hearty, family-style comfort food done right. Your meal kicks off with a fresh salad, and then comes the main event--a platter that feels like it was prepared for royalty. We're talking tender pot roast, juicy pork loin, creamy mashed potatoes, and rich, homemade mac and cheese. Everything is refillable, so come hungry. And just when you think you're done... enter the legendary ooey gooey toffee cake. Warm, sweet, and absolutely worth saving room for. It's the kind of dessert that makes you pause mid-bite and go, "yeah... this is why we came." What really makes this experience shine is the value. At around $45 for adults and $24 for kids, it's one of the better table-service deals in the park--especially for an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal that the whole family can get behind. Our son loved it, which always seals the deal. A little Disney history moment: back in the day, the Diamond Horseshoe featured a musical revue similar to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. That ran until 2003, when it transitioned into additional seating for Liberty Tree Tavern. The theming today is slightly different, but the menu and quality remain consistent. Pro tip (from a Cast Member): if you're eligible, that 40% discount for breakfast and dinner makes this an absolute steal. At the end of the day, this is one of those experiences that feels like home--just with a little extra Disney magic sprinkled on top. So pull up a chair, pass the mashed potatoes, and enjoy a family-style feast right in the heart of the most magical place on earth.

Their signature item is fried chicken. We ordered the Fried Chicken and Doughnuts. It comes with 2 pieces of chicken, 2 doughnuts and a side of mashed potatoes for $32. We thought it was a perfect meal to share between two because each person gets a piece of fried chicken and a doughnut. The chicken is extra greasy and topped with powdered sugar. It was very good but it still does not rate as highly as Publix or KFC for me. The doughnut was great. I would compare it to a fresh glazed from Krispy Kreme. Service was excellent. We were seated immediately, and greeted at our table by a friendly and efficient server. Overall, everything went well. The prices are high but this is expected due to the location. I would definitely return to try more of the menu.

That makes no sense to me but we were told they were having a hard time getting the fluff so they are moving to just marshmallows and this is across all stores. That drink was the main reason we would visit every time we were in a city that had one of these restaurants. We would also get one of their massive breakfasts to go with the coffees and we liked all the breakfast options. But that drink was the driver so I won't return.
