My son recently has a USA Swim meet here. This is a gorgeous facility. Perhaps one of the best I…read morehave ever seen. Since you can get the stats on the pool from various sources, I will go into the layout and logistics for parents of swimmers. There is plenty of parking and all extremely close to the actual pool, so no long treks to get to where you need to go. There is concrete, open flat theatre style seating going around one pool in an L shape. I believe there are 4 steps, each large enough to actually put a lawn chair on with all your coolers, etc. Above the theatre seating is a huge grassed area that many people set up their canopies. There is ample space, as many families had plenty of room to spread out. Our meet was split between one pool, and it had a north and south end. (one closer to the clock, other closer to the concession stand.) if this is the case for your child, ask your coach where your child will be swimming and try to set up camp in that area. I was personally as far away from where my son was swimming, but it's really no big deal. It would be convenient to watch the race from your space, though if you or someone in your party does not want to be down on the deck. There were bathrooms that I did not go into, and some outside showers next to them. The concession stand was set up by the hosting swim club and was nice. Closer to the entrance, a swim store set up speedo backpacks, goggles, swim suits, etc. I found the prices a bit expensive, but they did have some nice things. I would definately get there early to get a good space on the grass or concrete steps. For any individuals with mobility issues, there are stairs with rails to get up to the grass area and the grassed area has a gradual incline to walk up to the area for anyone who cannot take stairs or are in wheel chairs, etc. Beautiful facility. I look forward to coming here again.

Very nice pool and other amenities…read more SWAGR this year was at this pool and went off very nicely. Sometimes these bigger meets overwhelm the facilities with the large amount of swimmers and families. Not this place. Only area for improvement would be more grass area for spectators. I'm sure for most meets the current area is enough.

On July 03, 2020 we paid the said company $5,799.00 for a 8' x 14' x 42" pool…read more The breakdown is as follows: Pool 3,099.99 Heater 1,100.00 2mph swim sys 800.00 Saltwater sys 300.00 ----------------------- 5,299.99 service dog -300.00 shipping 800.00 ----------------------- 5,799.99 We finally received the pool mid November. There was not a heater or saltwater system included. Under a separate shipment we received a .75 horsepower pump and poorly glued PVC pieces, which we were told was the swim system that we were charged $800.00 for. We were asked to submit in writing what we wanted to be refunded for. We did on November 14, 2020. We asked to be refunded for the heater and saltwater system that we never received, as well as reduced charge for shipping and the poorly made swim system. On December 21, 2020 we received an email with a receipt for $1,100.00 only. As of today February 04, 2021 we have not received even that amount back to our card. Since then there has been no response to our multiple emails, informing them that we have not received any money. This business seems to operate under multiple names: Best Above Ground Pools, Legacy USA Pools, Quick Pools 4 Less, Above Ground Pools Experts. We would be very interested in legal actions.

Whitmore Pool is a true gem in many different ways:…read more 1.) There are few places on earth that are as scenic as the High Sierra and Whitmore provides a spectacular view. 2.) This is a public pool in a rather under-served (in terms of pool access) area. 3.) The pool fee is trivial and I can't imagine why anyone would complain about getting 2.5 hours of swimming and water play for less than half the price of a movie. Swimming at Snowcreek AC is way more expensive (and the pool is short and a pit) and the pool in Bishop costs about the same. I've always found this pool to be clean! 4.) Whitmore has a relaxed environment. Kids are allowed to be kids and actually play. It's not a pool built on 'don't do this, don't do that,' with a whistle blow or yell from the lifeguard every 15 seconds. It's okay to have a ball, some water toys, etc. and actually use them. Kids should have more of these opportunities in our litigious society. 5.) The pool hours extend beyond recreational swim, there are also public lap swim and tri team hours. It's worthwhile to get the full schedule. Speaking of tri team, Whitmore pool is an excellent place to do bricks: swim (pool)/bike Benton Crossing Road, swim (pool)/run (various trails out toward Crowley Lake or head North toward the tubs), or do your own full tri. So, visit Whitmore Pool and relax, there's a nice shaded area for those who like to stay a bit more out of the sun. I look forward to this key attraction each time I visit the Eastside in the summer.

The pool is 27 meters long. The lifeguards were removing the pool cleaner as I walked in, and it showed: the facility was very clean and well maintained. The only drawback were the VICIOUS mosquitos. My family member had 14 bites on her, I had about 5, my daughter had any 10, other family members had around 5. If you're little one has a bad reaction to bites, my daughter swells terribly, make sure to bring lots and lots of OFF or whatever you use. Parents cannot leave children unattended, children need to be potty trained, so keep that in mind. Super cool place for birthdays! I did not know you can reserve the entire location!!! You can ONLY reserve online and unfortunately none of the workers were able to give me the website. Apparently there is a sign somewhere in the park with their website. Best birthday party ever!

Its a very inexpensive way to keep the kids cool, have some fun during summer! The only reason I cant give it 5 starts is because my daughter booked a private party here and they double booked, we ended up having to share the rental with another family and that turned out to be a BIG MESS.
