I just purchased their 10 ounce Blueberry Pie at Dorothy Lane Market…read more Incredibly good. Best ever. A fantastic treat for guests. Please make a version without lard. I'm not a crust person anyway, but lard is really a turnoff in this health conscious society. Other than lard, the ingredients are fine for health conscious consumers. Important to know. Looks like DLM is putting the pies into their own containers. Unfortunately, there is a label on the bottom of my container which lists a variety of some not so healthy ingredients as well as cream cheese. That contradicts the ingredients label on the front. Looks like a mistake. Does your blueberry pie contain cream cheese? My wife saw those ingredients and wanted me to return it. I told her it must be a mistake. I'll notify DLM.

Bowman & Landes is the best deli and market in the area…read more The quality starts with their own turkey operation, and it shows in the freshness of the meat. But it doesn't stop there. Their beef, pork, and other products are sourced from local farmers and are every bit as fresh and high quality. The deli counter is outstanding, and the cheese selection is one of the best you'll find anywhere nearby. What really sets Bowman & Landes apart, though, is the itself. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful. Just as impressive is the cleanliness. They are constantly cleaning equipment and work areas, and the entire market is spotless every time we visit. Unlike some markets, you won't find residue or neglected prep areas here. There is a covered entrance that already had a line when I approached. I grabbed a shopping cart before entering and gave the necessary information for pre order pickup to the nice ladies that staffed the first counter. I was excited to see Young's Dairy (Yellow Springs) ice cream as I waited and shopped in the line. I was able to get bacon, ground round, steaks, and a nice chuck roast. There was a nice selection of rolls, pies, cakes and other items to complement a holiday feast. They were not making fresh sandwiches so I purchased roast beef, pepperoni, and Heidi Ann Swiss cheese to make sandwiches at home. After I was done shopping and about 3/4 around the line which horseshoes around the store, I was asked for my receipt that was given when I confirmed my pre order @the first counter. This person brought my boxed turkey and confirmed that 16 pounds was good with me regarding size. I was ushered to the nearest check out counter and made an easy exit. So far the only thing I've tried was the roast beef, pepperoni, and cheese. All were delicious.
