I'm a regular customer here (I shop here at least once a week) however as I went to pay, the lady at the register (I still remember her name from the receipt) thought I was actually trying to steal blueberries because I had blueberries sticking out of my plastic bag from Coles. Unfortunately I neglected to pick up my Coles receipt - either the Coles register didn't print or I forgot to collect my receipt from the machine as I was in a rush (yes that was my bad but I was multi tasking with work emails). My point is - why would I go to the register to pay for some things but not others - knowing I had all these fruit and veg sticking out of my plastic bag?? Was I being profiled as I didn't see her check anyone else in front of me? Although I was in my work gear so I don't even think I fit any "suspicious" profile to be questioned - unless if I was being racially profiled. Come on, guys. If I wanted to steal, I wouldn't have gone to the register to pay - that's just plain stupid. Bottom line is - whoever the store owner is.. pick up your game, mate. Tell your staff to have a bit more class - I'm the paying customer here so I expect to be treated with respect. Needless to say, I'm never shopping here again although I'm sure the owner doesn't care since there's so little supply of everything in Castle Hill. read more
