I was dying of thirst when I was thinking I need something refreshing and fruity. With a few choices in Yorkdale, I figure I'd stray from my favourite Village Juicery and try a new spot. Well, that was a lesson learned. Let's just be honest and say that Freshly Squeezed is like any other fast food spot in a mall. It's hurried, rushed, possibly not the best at listening, and you're seen as a transaction. If you get a 'hi', it's considered a near miracle. I dont even think the staff talked once to me. For a mall drink, the prices are slightly more than some other places but they do claim that they're real fruit in there. Whether it's real fruit from frozen or actual cut up I don't know but they're in same containers you hold those frozen Slurpees in. I ordered a Mango Smoothie and was utterly confused on what happened next. There was no confirmation but the person just took a cup and poured a bunch of the juice in there and then added a bunch of ice cubes. How ... is... that a smoothie? A smoothie by definition is fruit pureed with a dairy product. Sometimes milk and other times yogurt? So this was confusing and $7, I got my drink within a few minutes of blending in the ice. Mango "smoothie" - So this may have real fruit ... I'm not sure but it definitely has sugar in it. Wow, was this sweet. Ripe mangoes do not need any sugar so I'm only assuming they're using under ripe frozen ones. Maybe the sugar wasn't so bad as it got me through slalom the slow people in the mall hallways. Aside from the sugar high, it tasted like mangoes mostly and it was pretty filling. Still would have liked the real deal though. I also think they need to rethink their menu... this isnt a smoothie. It's a slushie and if you're only doing slushies, you got to drop the prices. 3/5 I think this place convinced me that the extra $4 for a drink that is made with fresh and ripe fruit is worth it. Sure I save a few bucks but I can also blink afterwards and not recover from a sugar crash. read more

I got a fresh mango juice from this place and the guy poured it from another container.. I specifically asked if there's sugar in it or anything else(sweetener) he said no it's fresh mango juice.. and it wasn't !!! It tasted like chemicals and had fake mango jelly bits. Absolutely disgusted by this place. Someone should take legal action against this place.. I still can't get the chemical taste out of my mouth. read more

Why am I a fan?!? This is MY Carrot Juice place of choice everytime I see a Freshly Squeezed around. I paid my $3.00 and asked for a Carrot-ONLY Small Juice as I watched the lady put in around 5-6 medium-sized Carrots to make it all happen in that amazing industrialized juicer. First, I cannot make Fresh Carrot Juice at home. Second, grocery stores have Carrot Juice but in bottles on the fridge that can be sitting there FOREVER. Third, I can see good value and totally worth the $3.00. Fourth, some places juice it so there are some PULPS while others like this place does not. This place is close-by the TTC Yorkdale area so why not SKIP the Tim Hortons for once and head over to get some Carrot Juice? I swear my drive home, I had X-RAY vision but too bad it was late and all the ladies are off the streets already. :( read more

Came here to get a fresh juice on the go. The juice itself is not bad and tasted good. Apparently they make it fresh in the morning and then pack it in wrapped plastic cups. Presentation is not that good and the customer service is a joke. I was standing at the cash for about 30 seconds and the staff member was just standing there and didnt say anything until i told him what i wanted and again didnt say anything just gave me the debit machine and my juice after. Rude, rude, rude! I had only gotten the words out Mango bubble.... when the attendant asked me " tea or smoothie". I replied smoothie. When I received my order, there were no "bubbles". When I asked where they were I was informed with attitude that I had not ordered "bubbles". When I tried to explain that in fact I had asked for a smoothie with "bubbles" she continued to argue with me that I had not (wow, I think I know what I wanted!) and that I would have to pay more. Once I paid the extra the attendant begrudgingly "fixed" the order and then slammed it down on the counter and told me again with attitude that next time I should say smoothie with tapioca. Ha, after that treatment, there won't be a next time!!! read more

One of my girlfriend's dragged me along to this place and ordered the special smoothie despite me warning her. The lady who was making her drink was dealing with money and after she got my friend's order, she did not even bother to wash her hands. To make the situation worse, the lady who was making her drink touched the banana she put into my friend's smoothie with her bare hands. It was very disgusting. We told her we wanted another drink because she touched the banana with her hands after dealing with money and she responds with, "I didn't touch it, I swear!". After "swearing" she didn't touch it she turned to her coworkers and started talking in Filipino like she was mad and her coworkers just laughed. We both saw her touching the banana and other customers saw as well. Some of the other customers even told us that they say that too. Management really needs to emphasize cleanliness and hygiene when it comes to dealing with food. read more

What a SCAM! I paid $5.10 after tax for a drink that consisted of a full cup of ice, sugar, artificial flavoured powder, flavour syrup, and blended up. It is NOT right to serve crap (excuse my language, but I highly respect food and I do not believe in taking customers' money and serving fake food) and hide behind "fresh fruit, premium drinks." I went to shopper's drug mart and purchased a big carton of 100% pure coconut water right after because I was so angry and insulted for giving my hard earned money for fake food.
