The young man who operates Freshwater Seal Construction LLC has no clue about how to professionally procure and administer contracts.
He has no project management skills. He doesn't understand the differences between cost proposals, construction agreements and invoices. As a result of his incompetence with contracts, he stopped work on my project without notice and claimed later that he stopped the project because he did not have a signed contract. This claim is false.
Freshwater had a signed contract to continue work. He did not email any contract to me before work began. However, I gave Freshwater a 70% down payment on the day that work began. He emailed an invoice which he called a contract after work began. I signed and emailed this invoice to him the next morning. So, there was a signed invoice that he called a contract in place the next day.
I have tried to explain to him on the phone but he wouldn't let me talk. He just screamed and hollered about the "paperwork" and then he hung up on me. Poor behavior. So beware the kid has a temper and is a poor listener.
I have no problems with the quality of their construction work or the unit costs of the work, it's the kid in the office that I had a problem with his abilities. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Freshwater Seal Construction. read more
