This grocery store sucks, their selection is worse than CVS. Y'all need to do some better market research on what people actually buy.

Mediocre at best. Employees suck at being helpful. Cashiers are rude. Management is HORRID.

In my opinion, they can afford to price themselves higher than Giant Eagle but at or below Heinen's in order to make it.

And by price too. The outdoor stalls are being refurbished, and the section that is complete is just like the historic stalls but much nicer, brand new, clean. Outdoors is the produce. Inside is all the rest - meat, cheese, baked goods, spices, coffee, international foods...the list goes on and on. The ceiling is like an old train station , but purpose built in 1912 to be a bad*ss market. Gorgeous. About 130ish stalls. Cafe/bistro in ine corner, Johnny's hot dog joint in another. If you want to support local the West Side Market is the perfect stop, it doesn't matter the day of week, unless you are looking for the cafe to be open. I love being able to get my produce along with fresh seafood at Kate's and pasta from Ohio City, full meal planning in one stop, especially when you can grab a fresh bouquet that finishes your table setting. Parking is even easier with one hour free and scan and pay if you are going to shop at a leisurely pace.

It's surprisingly versatile because Miles has the best selection of veggies, fruits, cuts of meat, deli, bakery, prepared and for fun, fancy artisanal stuff you'll only find in Amish county or farmer's markets. The stuff is pretty pricey BUT the reduced bakery and produce section always has such amazing deals! I used to be an avid fan of Sushi Wednesdays but recently, they raised their prices for that... The quality and presentation of their cakes and bake goods are just...chef's kiss. I've purchased so many birthday cakes, retirement cakes and now baby shower cake coming up. The location is very close to my office so it's a natural catering place for us! We love Miles Market! Oh, and they carry Honey Hut ice cream too!

I always tell my friends and coworkers, they have the best fried chicken in town. If you order it in person, it's the best item!!! I ordered catering from them recently and the experience was great! Stress free ordering for a large group and the food was delish! Even the fried chicken was still a bit crispy arriving on site. Everyone loved the food and I can't wait to order from them again! Tip: If ordering for food to be delivered, order it to arrive earlier. Our food arrived right before our meeting started even though we were given a window of delivery time. Not a big deal, but will cause a little less stress.

New This Year Brunty Farms - chicken and eggs... they also have a booth at Howe Meadow Farmer's Market... and offer a discount of eggs if you bring the box back and re-use it. Trigo's Market Bakery - nice selection of round and rectangle loafs... with a rotating foccacia selection. They also have a stuffed foccacia (forgot the name of the style) and we tried the pear, walnut, blue cheese... outstanding! Beefallo - haven't tried them yet, but they offer ground, patties, steaks and other cuts of American Buffalo's that have been bread with cows? The booth has been packed so I haven't heard the pitch yet. Repeat Winners The Pierogi Lady - Serves some hot to eat there... the rest frozen... you can even order off of her Facebook page and pick them up at the market... so far this year we've loved the crab rangoon and the french onion... and this week picked up some chicken pot pie and yam with walnuts to try. Bluebird Meadow Farms - bratwurst, breakfast sausage, ribs, roasts and later in the season even duck Hattie's Cafe - great selection of jams and salsa Edgesmith - next week I'll start my yearly cycle of sending my chef's knives in for a pro sharpening... they do a great job with pruners too. 2 Amish farms come as well as 4 or 5 local offerings of specialty lettuce, herb and garlic growers. We don't go for the candle seller or the popcorn person... but at least once a season we buy from the honey people and the maple syrup lady. Lots to choose from... and everyone is really friendly... worth the drive to check out some of the local breakfast or lunch places... and a can't miss when the Taste of Hudson is happening!
