Welcome!

Come one, come all! To Fresh St. Market that is. Nestled between 16th and 17th St. in Ambleside, it's the new kid on the block giving Whole Foods a run for their money. And I'm not just saying that cause I work there. Come see for yourself. I can honestly say it's Cartman's worst nightmare. Fresh, organic produce that's as locally sourced as possible at very reasonable prices. You'll find a fabulous selection of truffled delights (truffled pecorino cream comes to mind), specialty jellies/sauces and a fanatic selection of olive oil and balsamic vinegars. You'll find ground bison, duck breasts and marinated steaks. There are gluten free muffins, breads, crackers and cereal. A shelf dedicated to various chia seeds, hemp seeds and kamut flakes. A wonderful pseudo-fromagerie. A fantastic selection of Ocean-wise seafood and the best mushroom caps in the lower mainland. Own your kitchen...like a boss. And for lazy days, you'll find a nice selection of heat and serve delights: scotch pies, butter chicken, quiches, gorgonzola mac and cheese. There's also a daily selection of fresh made soups (wild mushroom's the best) and a rockin' salad bar. Get a dozen baked goodies and you always get the 13th one free. Buy 7 made-to-order sandwiches (at $4.99) and you get the 8th one free. There are complimentary umbrellas for customer use, car service and home delivery. It's actually a store concept that succeeds as a destination shop as well as an everyday, corner store in the neighbourhood. And that's speakin' as a customer. Have I mentioned the New York cheesecake? It's flown in, triple baked and comes with your choice of peach, blueberry or strawberry compote. Creamy, not too sweet and deliciously savoury. Go nuts. You deserve it.

I can't…read moreimagine not being able to find what I want and the fresh sushi, deli, bakery and Starbuck's coffee shop are a plus. Also, the store is probably the cleanest I have ever been in. The only negative is the North Mall itself which was crazily "updated" several years ago meaning the London Drugs and Loblaws are isolated. Still there is plenty of free parking available which is becoming more of an issue these days. Overall, I will be making this Loblaws my choice for grocery shopping. As for the prices, food is expensive but the Loblaws prices are no worse than what I have seen in the Northshore stores they compete with like Thrifty, IGA, Stongs and Fresh Street Market.

I've been to this supermarket many times and never really had any kind of outstanding experience…read morehere before. We had some really good customer service today though, so I felt compelled to leave a review this time. We were at the deli counter, choosing some foods to bring home for dinner. I asked for a small container of Greek Lentil Salad. The guy packed it into the small container I asked for. Then I pointed at the Teriyaki Salmon and asked for one piece of it. The man then told me that if I put the Greek Lentil Salad into the same box as the Teriyaki Salmon, it would count as a combo meal which would be $10. So basically, he was trying to tell us that it would be a better deal for us if we packaged it that way. So we took him up on the suggestion. He opened up the small container of Greek Lentil Salad which he had packed for us earlier and dumped it into a box with the Teriyaki Salmon. We were so impressed with him for making this suggestion to us, and trying to save us a bit of money! He didn't have to offer up this information to us, and could have saved himself the trouble of having to repackage the Greek Lentil Salad, and figure out what to do with the now soiled container that the Greek Lentil Salad had previously been sitting in. Service: Excellent Parking: Plentiful and free
