They have gone downhill this year. 3 of the times they have come this year, they didn't do the back yard. Gate locked was their excuse. It wasn't as I unlock it the night before and roll up my hose. The first 2 times when I called to complain, someone was out the next day. This time it was nothing but run around from them. I was to receive a call yesterday letting me know when they would come finish the job they have charged me for already. No call. 3 strikes and your out. Boy on phone wouldn't give me his name, and his feelings got hurt when I got tired of repeating everything 3 or more times. I fired them today. Horrible company! Sure, they get the yard done in 2.5 seconds but the quality shows. I asked one of the men to cut a middle part in my yard and he told me "no" at first. Then he told me only if I paid him. To which I told him, "of course I'm going to pay you. I'm not asking for a service for free." I expected him to be able to just add it to my online portal since it's automatically withdrawn after the service is complete. He told me he couldn't do that because the company told him to only do the backyard. Now I'm reading that they use contractors. The lawn service is terrible. They did not show up for 3 weeks after their last 2 week cycle and scheduled my house each day of the week and then canceled every single day. I gave them time, understanding that their might be issues Finally, after 3 weeks I emailed them about the issue, that this is not acceptable and I got fined by my HOA and the overgrowth will more difficult now to take care of. They promise me on email that they will come out the same day or the next day. But lo and behold, they did not turn up the same day. I called them the next day and still they cannot promise if they can mow my lawn. After 2-3 calls, they finally told me that they can confirm the mowers will come out but cannot tell me the time, after pushing the rep, he told me that they won't be there until 5 PM. Even when I stated that I need to be moved up the priority list, the customer rep just said that he cannot do that. I just went ahead and canceled them. Not reliable at all, poor customer service, the customer service rep won't even transfer me to his manager and did not even try to retain me as a customer, and was like ok, if you want to cancel, we will cancel. On top of this, with my new company, I have to pay double the price for mowing, because the 3 week overgrowth is above 6". It definitely seems I am good company with my review. I waited a week to insure that Olivia, the accounts manager, had some time to review my emails and get back to me. She has not and I do not see her doing so anytime in the near future. A month ago I contacted Fresh Lawn to take care of the lawn service at my home. I was told that a cut for the home and leaf bagging would be $35 plus tax bi weekly. They came out and did a mediocre job. They bagged two bags of leaves, did not leaf blow the whole patio and back yard area and completely refused to cut any of the grass on the side of the house. I sent images of the issues and I was told that this would be noted on my account and in two weeks all would be fixed. It gets better. Two weeks passed and they returned. Yet again the side of the house was not cut and if you look you'll see a water bottle in the leaves. That was there from the first mow. Left it there on purpose to see if they were paying attention. Nope. Also the backyard was trash. Weeds growing left and right and they just left them. I emailed again and was told the lady who I had been speaking with was no longer with Fresh Lawn. They apologized for the issues and swore to fix them. That I would be refunded for the last mow and all the issues from the past month would be fixed with a special crew coming to cut the weeds and take care of the leaves the next day. The next day came and no crew by 8pm. I got an email letting me know that my mow had been bumped and someone would come the next day. The next day came and a crew finally showed up. They sat outside of my home for 10 mins in their truck. No one got out. They were on their phones and then they left. I found that quite odd. So I called Fresh Lawn. They were just as surprised as me as to why no one mowed or cleaned up the leaves. They apologized and called dispatch to figure out what happened. I was told that I was quoted the wrong price initially. That the crew, even though they never got out of the truck, felt that the leaves were too much work and they weren't going to do it. They didn't even go into the back yard to attempt to cut the weeds they let grow for the past month. They said it would be $150 but since they have messed up they could offer me a discount and have someone come out immediately for $120. I told them I was very upset that no one reached out to me to let me know about all of this. That a simple call or email could have clarified all of this. Even if there was an issue that good customer service says you just eat the cost, fix the problem and keep a customer. Not with Fresh Lawn. They do not care. I emailed Olivia the accounts supervisor and let her know about my situation and how disappointed I was. No response. Now we have this review. There are too many great people and companies who work hard and want your money. I do not chase down people to give them my money. That is crazy. Subpar work. Subpar customer service. Subpar core values and leadership. This here is the epitome of Fresh Lawn. Save your money, time and patience. Find someone who actually cares about their clients and their business. If I could give no stars I would. I scheduled service with this company to mow 2 yards on 9/8/22. I received a confirmation that service would be provided on 09/09/22, weather permitting. On 9/9/22, the weather was perfect but nobody showed. I called the company after 9am on Saturday, 9/10/22, and got voicemail stating their hours were 9am-noon during daylight savings. Ok...nobody ever answered after multiple calls during those hours and nobody replied to my email. But they have my credit card info though. Wouldn't recommend to an enemy. read more

I did speak to someone in corporate office recently and she pretended to care, but in the end it has become clear there is no genuine care for quality of work in this place of business. However, I'm charged each week like clockwork. My relationship has culminated with a conversation with an Amy in the corp office and honestly i felt like she genuinely cared about my comcerns in our phone chat. However, that graciousness ended after our conversation. I'm left with an email that says the cowardice owners (that don't even bother to call and apologize) don't want to do anything about it. LAZY. Lack of detail orientation. Rude customer service. I've been a regular customer for YEARS. I've had multiple issues over the years but this was the most recent that pissed me off enough to cancel. We recently moved to California and own our home in Texas. Our tenants moved out so I called FLM to get the "works" set up for our yard. I asked for mulch, flower bed weeding and fertilizer. The total came out to $800! I figured it was worth it so I paid and scheduled the crew. My mother in law came out after service to inspect and was disgusted by the work. See pictures. The customer service accepted the pictures and went back out. They were instructed to call prior to leaving but didn't. When she went back out she found a large pile of sticks sitting in the middle of the front yard. I called FLM and the customer service rep (who stated she was new but didn't give her name), stated that debris haul away is extra and she'd be happy to send someone out to pick up the sticks for a price. I reiterated that we just paid the company $800 plus the years of loyal service and the least they could do was waive this fee and pick up the sticks. She said I would have to pay. I immediately said I was going to cancel my service and without any hesitation she said she could get that done for me and it would take about 5 minutes. She then hung up without saying bye. Don't. Just don't. Years ago this company was very good, but not anymore. You schedule service, and if you are lucky, you will get some of the service you requested. Then you have to run the musical phone gauntlet trying to get them to agree to come back to complete the service you had already paid for. Of the 6 times they've serviced my yard since signing back up with them, I've had to request a redo 3 times. The final straw for me was I asked them to add once a month weeding of the backyard flowerbeds to the service at my property in Houston. I had been doing it myself, and it takes me about 1.5 hours. Problem is, I don't live in Houston anymore, so that puts me getting home really late. They informed me it's an additional $30 per hour for hand pulling the weeds, and it would probably take 2 hours the first time. I told them it shouldn't since I've been doing it, but if it did that was fine. The pictures are what I found when I went to check their work. When I contacted them I was informed that it would have taken over 8 hours for them to hand pull the weeds, so they did the best they could in the time they had. As for the mulch, they wouldn't replace it. I cancelled my account with them. Save yourself the headache, look elsewhere. read more

By far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. We scheduled an initial service and prepaid as required. Time passed and we assumed the services had been performed, since it's not our primary residence. We should never have assumed the best considering we never received any receipt or record stating the service had been completed. Two weeks later we received an email stating our scheduled service would need to be delayed a day, no big deal. Then I started receiving these emails every day, so I went to check the state of the yard. It was well over a foot tall, absolutely no way that happens in a two week period. I submitted a question via their online form and also left a voicemail on a friday. By Tuesday of next week I'd still received no contact so I called back. Apparently the team wanted more money because of the height of the grass, but no one ever reached out to the customer (me) and just kept delaying service which of course led to increased height. After arguing with the office staff about the cost I asked for proof of the initial service being completed the two weeks prior. The pictures provided were of the wrong house. When I provided pictures of my residence and asked for actual evidence of service at my residence or for them to complete the job at no additional cost, they responded they had no other evidence and would not perform the service for the original agreed upon process even though it was their mistake. I filed a complaint with the BBB, to which the company never responded. My next steps are small claims court, since I have all our communications in writing. The quality of the lawn service you receive is all over the place; they seem to lack any kind of quality control. This culminated in an experience I've been having over the past week and a half. I asked them to add a one time flowerbed service to my bi-weekly mowing schedule, it's an additional $30+ fee. The day they were supposed to come, they came and mowed, but didn't do the flowerbeds. They then charged me as if the flowerbeds were completed. The mowing was pretty bad, but I called back and told them they charged me and didn't do the flowerbeds, I was promised they would come back out. Two days later they come and mow again, but don't touch the flowerbeds. This time the mowing was fantastic, it actually looked like it was mowed.. except they still didn't the flowerbeds. Later that day I called them and once again told them they didn't the flowerbeds and was told they would try to get someone out there by end of day OR let me know if they can't. This doesn't happen. On Monday I called again and asked when they would come, I was told I was on the schedule and 'coincidentally' a crew shows up at my house in minutes. I watched them ( I have security cameras ) start mowing again and started to call back to tell them they're still not doing the damn flowerbeds.. but then they seem to stop and put the mowers away before working on the flowerbeds.. and by work I mean.. using a leaf blower to blow the leaves out of it. They spent less than 30 minutes doing it, when the additional service is supposed to add an hour, they didn't weed anything or clean anything up.. I still have trash in my flowerbeds in addition to extra leaves they've strewn all over my front porch. I've since demanded my money back, go with ANYONE else besides these guys.. literally anyone can do a better job. read more

Looks terrible. They will leave small strips of grass on either side of your yard, if it does not line up EXACTLY with the street view. They also do not understand that you are supposed to blow AWAY from the house instead of towards the front door and onto the patio furniture. Dirt everywhere. used Fresh Lawn on and off for about three years. I recently decided to do two-week service of my front and backyard. Last week they came and cut my yard, but didn't cut the back. I forgot to call and decided to call today. When I called, I spoke to McKenzie. I told her what the issue was. She informed me that because it was a week later, it would be a problem to get a crew to come back and cut the yard. I said, okay, well, I'd like to request a credit because clearly my backyard wasn't cut. She told me she'd have to send it to their A/P dept. and request it. All I wanted to know is when I should follow up. She couldn't give me an answer. I said, okay, well, is there someone else I could speak to that would know the answer to my question. She said there is, but I'm not allowed to give their information. I said, well, who's your manager? She told me she couldn't give that information either. I then asked her, well, who over you can I speak with? She said she would be the only person I could speak to and then proceeded to get an attitude. I requested that my service be canceled. If you are not the least bit concerned about them showing up as contracted or getting routinely good service, then this company might just be for you. I've been using them on and off for years for non-routine yard work (surgeries, vacations, general laziness, etc.) and have had occasional problems with them 1) not showing up as requested and 2) poor quality work. You don't get a standard crew. You get whoever is in the area and available on the day of your service. This past weekend, I'd requested Saturday service. Stayed home all day to wait for them because I have dogs. When they hadn't shown by 4:30, I called and was told someone would be coming the next day. No call, no text, no email. They just rescheduled me and expected me to be fine with it. I wasn't, but really needed to have the yard done. No one showed up the next day either!! At that point, I gave up and luckily my niece and nephew were available to help with the yard. Well, guess who shows up on WEDNESDAY?!? Yep! I told them "no thanks, the yard has already been done." They do a crappy job on the lawn and when you complain, they try to uncharge you as everything, other than a mediocre lawn mowing (i.e. trimming the edges of the lawn, trimming hedges, removing any fallen leaves, etc) is considered a la carte. So if you pay somebody 30 bucks per week to take care of your lawn, they'll just take care of everything except for things like tree trimming, etc. Fresh lawn? Nope. They give you a low price. 25 bucks to mow the lawn. Then, want the edges of your lawn cleaned and tidied? 30 extra bucks. want the leaves raked in the fall? 120 extra bucks. want shrubs roughly trimmed? 50 extra bucks. I wish I had read these reviews before, because I feel like I've bee scammed! Explicit instructions were given over the phone and left on the gate door to pull weeds in the back yard only and to spread weed and feed in the back yard. Over the phone I mentioned that we had dandelions upto my ankles in the back yard and I wanted them pulled so that real grass could grow in. Over the phone I was told that the entire thing would cost around $60, which I accepted. When I came home, the weeds were partially pulled from the front of the house, the side of the house and it didn't seem like any were pulled from the backyard at all. I literally have weeds 3 inches tall right now on the front and sides of the house still. When I reviewed the security camera footage for the backyard, sides of the house and front of the house-I could see why. The person spent a lot of time inside their car.Also, the only weeds that were pulled from the back yard was one in the back where he walked back there and pulled the tallest one. Literally, one. This is unacceptable and not at all what I had explained that I wanted. I was going to spray weed killed on the front and sides of the house- I needed the weeds pulled from the lawn so that good grass could grow in. My credit card was charged an extremely high amount, so I've requested an itemized receipt from them. I've also never heard of a service done where a receipt was not sent! We have used this Houston company for several years and recently had 2 bad experiences that make me question their service over the years we have used them. We own 2 rent homes across the street from each other. We have been paying them to cut the yard every other week for one of the homes. A few weeks we were at the home across the street when I received notification of a charge for cutting the yard. Problem is the yard had not been cut. We notified them and they acknowledged that the yard had not been cut and we should not have been charged. We would have not known the yard had not been cut if we had not coincidentally been across the street. While talking to them we had them to cut the yard and provide us a quote to remove some debris. We got charged for the yard maintenance and debris removal. Problem was the debris was still there and the yard did not look like it had been maintained. Leaves were everywhere. We were told that the debris had not been removed but the yard was cut. When asked why were all of the leaves still everywhere, the response was that the price did not include moving the leaves. We have discontinued this service after over 4 years. Two problems in one week!!! I wonder how often we have paid for service that was not provided in the past. read more

Do not use these people! They are more work dealing with customer service than actually getting out there and doing the job yourself. We have paid for services that I actually ended up finishing myself because I just didn't want to deal with calling them again to complain. For example: I paid for leaf pick up... one half full bag was left on my curb! Ended up picking up three huge bags of leaves by myself. Paid for flower bed clean up and weed pulling.... did it all myself since they obviously can not see what needs to be done. Paid for a crepe myrtle to be trimmed... they cut three branches off and left them on the side of my driveway. I called and they said they planned to come back. They came back a day after they said they would plus did not bring anything to take the branches away. They left them at the curb and said they would come back a few days later. They never did so my husband helped the city collect them on our heavy trash pick up. I called to cancel and decided to try another crew and see how it goes. The lawn and edging was ok but my fence was injured in the meantime. So now I have to hire someone to fix my leaning fence. I am cancelling today! read more
