There are exactly three places in the area to do your shopping without hopping in your auto and heading a mile or so to pick up something. So you have to factor in convenience when determining the status of this place. The stock is larger than the other "fresh market", and they are open longer. Plus. I've had to check the dates on a couple things though. Nothing has ever been overdue, but they do play it close to the wire. I'm suspecting because this place is pretty mom and pop. The stock also goes beyond the strictly generic brands you find in the Rite Aid Pharmacy. I ad a good conversation with one of the staff. So factor in friendly. You employees including your drivers call customers Faggots and then management threatens to call police when the customers report this behavior. I am not sure who the owners are, but they have to understand that respecting the people who spend $$$ in your business is a must. We have Amazon, PeaPod, Fresh Direct...the list goes on and on, people don't have to spend money with you, we chose to spend money with you. We could just as easily take those $$ somewhere else. When a person is anxious to leave quick from a store because of their car is either double parked or they are in a rush to get home then this is the place to go to.They have a large selection of different products to look at of your choice , vegetables and fruits are always fresh.It's always a pleasure to come here to the store and if something you're looking for ,you don't find you tell them and it's a possible they might order it for you . I go in there to buy my sushi my seaweed . I am so content doing business with them each and every time. This happened at my building in Riverdale on October 26, 2017: A delivery van from Fresh King Market in Knoll's Crescent was blocking the pedestrian entrance to the building. When I asked the driver to move forward to the sign where cars are directed to idle, he told me to shut up. When I asked him what he said, he replied, "You heard me, faggot." When the son of the owner who was inside the building delivering the groceries came down, I told him what happened and he said the driver didn't work for the market but was a friend of his and I should take it up with the driver. I called the market, and the owner, who claimed she wasn't the owner, told me she had no time to talk to me and would call the police if I didn't stop calling. She told me to come to the store if I had a problem. When I arrived at the store, she told me to leave or she would call the police. She refused to apologize but acknowledged that she was the owner and the guy actually delivering the groceries (not the driver) was her son. Bronx residents should not be confronted by this kind of hate speech in their own homes by commercial establishments. I wanted to make everyone aware of this. read more

Very overpriced. New owners continually charge wrong, higher prices than listed; I have to watch how much they are ringing every item up for. They say they accept Apple Pay, credit cards, but have yelled at me when I try to use them. read more
