I went to order and they said that the order never went through even though I did get confirmation. Very disappointing.

I was in town from Miami to Watch the Miami Heat Destroy the celtics but I wanted to find the best…read moreedibles that Boston had available. I found Ascend online and my first impression was " Wow". This was one of the nicest dispensary's I've ever been to. The staff was great and the edibles were amazing. Go Miami Heat!

Ascend dispensary does not live up to its name. They are racist, sexist, and most of the management…read moreteam are power hungry bullies who see their employees as slaves. They have drained the life from the employees, and take any form of self expression as a threat (even the colors they wear are heavily monitored... what dispensary do you know that does that?). They pretend to care about diversity and inclusivity and then treat their employees differently based on race, sex, and ability. One of the managers, Alex, has been caught several times watching *orn at work and you can almost smell the *orn addiction on him. He can't even make eye contact with women unless they are submissive and childlike (let that sit for a second) and has clearly expressed a discomfort around black people. Many of the non black managers (Wilmarie and Mark) constantly throw around derogatory slang and think they aren't being watched/ heard. The General Manager, Lamboy, makes rude and inappropriate "jokes" about employees incompetence (sometimes in front of customers) and seems to think it's all fun and games. As employees, they take it or laugh because what do you do when your manager disguises bullying as friendly banter? The co-GM John Wood, hides his racism well, or at least he thinks he does, but refuses to take customers of color and complains about customers who can't speak good english. He also constantly raves about his old job as a correctional officer is prison, telling his subordinates about gruesome, inhumane things he ENJOYED participating in as a CO. The employees make "Ascend" what is, but management sees them as expendable. They will do anything in their power to bully out the employees that have any self worth or try to advocate for themselves. And HR sits by complicit. They recently hired a new head of HR, simply because she cares less about the employees than the last one! They hire people with physical and mental disabilities, and then act as though it is a burden and a chore to create an atmosphere where they can comfortably learn how to do their job. They constantly have people working full shifts (8 hrs) with no breaks, and then blame the employees for not advocating for themselves. Then they have the nerve to be annoyed when people start to remind them they need a break! Unfortunately, work environments like this are not uncommon, but we send them a message when we see and hear what they do to their employees and customers, and continue to give them money. Now imagine your favorite employee that has made your experience at Ascend since day one. They have been enduring that treatment for 3,4,5 years! Ascend is hell bent on creating a space where only those who blindly follow orders and don't advocate for themselves can "thrive." If you haven't notice the complete decline in employee morale, take a second and have a real conversation with one of the employees. They are physically and emotionally tired and extremely under appreciated.

I don't why people are so pissed off at the stock boy here. If I am think of the same guy, he's…read morealways been extremely helpful in helping me find the right type of whiskey. I've come in on numerous occasions and have had excellent service. The guy knows his whiskey. Maybe he's being snobby at you because you're asking him about girly-ass drink or some hipster craft beer. The prices are a bit high, but that's the location. All in all, this place is my go to neighborhood liquor store.

I was a pedestrian walking by, and the door to this liquor store suddenly exploded due to a drunk…read moreperson destroying it and throwing a wine bottle through the glass. I walked by just as this happened and got glass all over me, including in my eye. It is in my hair, my clothes, everywhere. I have cuts and scrapes. I was freaking out, scared, crying, and in a lot of pain, and, not able to see due to the glass in my eye. One of the men who works at or owns the store, a large short man with a balding gray ponytail and an unkempt beard, came out. He did not ask if I were ok, If I needed medical attention, or if I needed an ambulance. He barely looked at me, even though it was obvious I had been hit by the glass and was injured. He did not care at ALL that an innocent person was just seriously harmed walking by his store. He is a horrible person who does not care about his community. When the ambulance and police arrived, he continued to show callousness by not checking on me. He never ONCE asked if I was ok. I later called the store to ask for the owner's information for any legal case I may have, as I need extensive medical care due to my eye injury. Another employee or owner answered and they refused to give it to me once they found out I was the injured woman. They then, hung up on me, and subsequently blocked my number. I will be following up with an attorney and a police report. I am truly disgusted by the lack of caring for the community that is displayed by this long standing store snd its employees/owners. What a disgrace. While it is not necessarily their fault the door incident happened, it IS their fault for refusing tk show a shred of human decency. Clearly, they were more concerned about their store than the woman covered in glass snd in pain from glass in her eye. They could have least checked on me, asked if I was ok. The lack of caring about an innocent person being injured by their property is truly, utterly shocking. As a human, I cannot imagine standing there after witnessing someone become injured by my store, and not asking them if they are ok or if they need anything. That is the bare minimum of being a decent human being and community member. I have all of this on video and will be sharing on social media. This man and this store does not belong in our Boston community. Our community cares when others are injured. The main agent/owner, David DiNardi, needs to do better on ensuring his employees and his store are decent human beings. I will continue to pursue all my legal options. It's also really weird that Dave DiNardi also is a dental ceramics maker and owns a dental lab. Super sketchy to own such a wide variety of businesses. I would be very suspicious of his dental business if this is how he runs his liquor store. Seems very sketchy.
