Ever since Yogorino in SF closed, I've been on the lookout for frozen yogurt as good, and I finally found it at Freo. It first caught my attention on our first night in Sydney back in February while we were heading towards Chinatown when I realized that there was a huge line for what appeared to be frozen yogurt. A few nights later, our last night in Sydney, my son and I were finishing up dinner and looking for a treat. We remembered Freo and headed over. It was a Friday night around 9p, and when we got there the line was stretching out the door. We decided to wait.
The anticipation built as we got inside, continued to make our way to the frozen yogurt and then to the counter with all of the toppings. In addition to a lot of the usual toppings, they had whole lychee, which was a wonderful surprise. We loaded up and found a seat outside.
The yogurt was amazing - the perfect creamy texture with a wonderful tart flavor. It's the closest thing I've had to Yogorino in all these years, and a wonderful treat to end our adventures in Australia. read more
