Frensham Garden Centre has changed hands since I very first visited several years ago. There are some good points about it the new food department is excellent and you can get some really unusual and interesting products the fresh meat section has some quality produce a lovely range of sausages. The camping display area is large and there is a good range of tents etc, however the shop is very, very expensive and doesnt hold a vast range of equipment it's all crammed in to quite a small shop. There is nothing here you couldnt get cheaper in Cotswold Company.
However, it is the main garden centre that has deteriorated. As a previous reviewer says there is a lot of household and DIY products but you can get better in B&Q to be honest. Yes, you could come in here to browse and you wouldnt go away empty-handed. However, it is the general atmosphere of the place. It is all a bit lacklustre and tired, everything seems to be crammed in. On enquiring about something with a member of staff I got a very unsatisfactory answer, they were not at all helpful this is an attitude which has changed with the new owners. It certainly does not have the air of quality about it that it used to have.
Personally, I dont really bother going here any more and I would recommend that you give this place a miss unless you are desperate. There are far better quality places nearby Forest Lodge Garden Centre and Badshot Lea, where the whole atmosphere is nicer and the staff are far more helpful. read more
