Vermeulen's is a big garden centre situated between Staines and Heathrow Airport. Though it's a large place it's somehow isn't very impressive and though I've been there loads of times I don't think I've actually ever bought anything. The plants always look like they've seen better days and could do with a water. There's an acquatic centre and a pet shop - I've never felt that the animals are well looked after and the signs up everywhere saying that they won't refund you if your purchase dies when you get it home are a bit of a worry. A friend of mind who used to live round the corner always whistles Duelling Banjos as she passes Vermeulen's - I'll say no more than that

The prices are quite reasonable for the great quality they have. The roses are as red as blood and are so touching. I also like the fact that you can have your flowers delivered to your door which means they are even more fresh as they are brought there straight away rather than you; maybe branching off somewhere.
