She was so sweet and patient while I decided on a cake. We went with the Dulce de Leche cake. The cake itself was delicious! It was fresh, not overly sweet and really soft. Plus it was obvious to all that this was a quality cake (Not the supermarket kind of cake). Thank you for making the sweet birthday that much sweeter.

I wanted a chocolate ganache cake and a coconut cake. When I spoke to a lady to place the order, I was told that the coconut cake is not a standard cake on their menu so this would be a customized cake and would cost more - not an issue, I understand. They were reasonably priced for the detail that they put into the cakes. I paid $25 for the chocolate ganache cake and $50 for the coconut cake. The location for pick up was a bit strange. It is in an industrial business strip mall, which had a tight parking lot and the location is all the way at the end of the lot. There was construction on half of the side of the parking lot so it was very congested with limited space to park. Nevertheless, I was able to pop in to a parking spot to run in and pick up my cakes. When you walk in, there is no typical business store front, just an office space. The lady inside greeted me and quickly went to the back to grab my order and that was that. The cakes were indeed beautiful for my last minute order/request (I ordered about 2 days prior). The chocolate ganache was extremely rich, but yummy. Still pending tasting the coconut one, review will be updated once I taste it.

Since that first visit, I've already been back... and now I've made hubby a fan. Not just of the treats I kept bringing home, but of the whole experience. We've been seated quickly every time, and the menu is straightforward with monthly breakfast and dinner specials to keep things interesting. Their July breakfast absolutely hit it out of the park for me. The eggs were nice and creamy, paired with fresh tomatoes, thinly sliced and salted avocado, cottage cheese drizzled with EVOO and micro greens, and fresh sourdough breadsticks. It may sound like a simple plate which, I admit, it is, but when you work out as much as I do, you learn to appreciate a meal that's high in protein, fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. This checked every box and easily became my jam even to duplicate at home. Now, onto the bakery...Hubby's current obsessions are the pistachio and chocolate almond croissants. They're generously sized, and they are not stingy with the filling. I have a feeling that's exactly why the bakery counter is constantly buzzing with takeout bags and pickup orders. I also have to give their coffee some love. I usually try coffee black (or with just a touch of sugar) because I actually want to taste it, and their Americano was singing to me with its rich aroma, and smooth flavor. Needless to say, this has become one of my top breakfast spots. I even signed up for their rewards program, which means I'll happily be cashing in my $15 birthday reward... though let's be honest, I'll probably be back several times before then.

The food came out quickly and tasted ok--nothing special. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. Our server never smiled, and it wasn't just with our table; we noticed the same interaction with other guests as well. There was no greeting, no check-in during the meal, and the service felt like it was simply taking our order and coming back with the check. The food was enjoyable, but the lack of hospitality really affected the overall experience. Sadly, we probably won't be back.

No stop to Florida is complete without a pastelito and good cafecito Cubano…read more Came here for an afternoon snack and ordered a tostada, guava and cheese, and a plain cheese pastelito with a colada. This bakery is pretty huge inside and they also have meals available to go which looked pretty delicious. There's some outdoor seating but nothing crazy or anything just little tables and chairs to let you enjoy a bit of no AC when it's nice weather. There's guava and cheese pastelitos HIT. Absolutely obsessed with the dough as they were flaky but not overly flaky. Basically I didn't had the dough sticking to my teeth and landing anywhere but my mouth. Usually I get the crumbs all over my shirt, face, table. Well, you get the idea I think. Point is the dough was on point, they were perfectly soft and flaky when they needed to be. The ratio of guava to cheese was amazing. My only "complaint" was the colada didn't have the typical authentic Cuban crema I want in my cafecito. Other than that, everything was great!
