I picked up two small size cakes today. I emailed an inquiry and they got back to my almost right away. They asked for my number to make payment and contact me with the details. I wanted a chocolate ganache cake and a coconut cake. When I spoke to a lady to place the order, I was told that the coconut cake is not a standard cake on their menu so this would be a customized cake and would cost more - not an issue, I understand. They were reasonably priced for the detail that they put into the cakes. I paid $25 for the chocolate ganache cake and $50 for the coconut cake. The location for pick up was a bit strange. It is in an industrial business strip mall, which had a tight parking lot and the location is all the way at the end of the lot. There was construction on half of the side of the parking lot so it was very congested with limited space to park. Nevertheless, I was able to pop in to a parking spot to run in and pick up my cakes. When you walk in, there is no typical business store front, just an office space. The lady inside greeted me and quickly went to the back to grab my order and that was that. The cakes were indeed beautiful for my last minute order/request (I ordered about 2 days prior). The chocolate ganache was extremely rich, but yummy. One of those burning sweetooth days for chocolate drop cookies, so we ordered via doordash to try somewhere different, especially all the rave yelp reviews. But alas, was not meant to be. The Chocolate Fudge Top Cookies and 7" Vanilla Cake, was, "meh" to say the least. Might as well as have gone to local Publix to save$ along with much better quality sweets. Needless to say, can check this one off the list. It's a local business so by all means support and, please give them a try, just not for us. read more

All the cakes I get are from Chefness! Always on time and professional and willing to work with your budget. I've gotten dairy cakes, but the pareve is just as good. Only disappointment is that they don't make my FAVORITE flavor anymore! Which is lemon poppee seed, very sad. Anyway if you don't have time to custom make a cake, there are few ready ones that taste great and can just write "Happy birthday" on it. They also deliver cake for an additional cost if needed. Amazing taste. The oreo cake was good but nothing too amazing, however the ferrero rocher dessert was incredible!! The slice of cheesecake waa very solid . I found this bakery looking to support locally. For one, don't believe the hours. They're not open at 8 a.m.....9 or 9:30 at best. Wanted to try a bit of everything, but they don't stock a lot. Bought 2 kinds of cookies and challah bread. Ordered bagels for the next day, but they called and said they'd be there Monday at 9:30 instead. OK, cookies were not good. One type was very stale and the other on the edge. They're pre-packaged, no dates. The challah was very good. At 9:30 Monday, they were just arriving to open. I was told to try again in an hour. Was looking for a very specific design for a cake for my husband's 65th birthday. I'd never used this bakery before, but Karen and the team at Chefness Bakery were able to exceed ALL of my expectations not only quickly but with the best possible results! I'd asked for a cake on the smaller side made to look like a roll of toilet paper surrounded by cupcakes made to look like poop emoji's. While I provided the cake topper of "Holy Sh*t You're Old", Chefness really added all of the magic! The cake was marbled chocolate and vanilla with fudge (of course!) filling. And O! M! G! People were practically scraping the last bits of cake onto their plates!! (I managed to grab a quick photo before every last morsel disappeared.) Everyone was RAVING about how amazing the taste was and I must agree. The adults loved the cake and the grandkids not only loved the yummy cupcakes, but couldn't stop laughing about the "poop" emoji's turned into a cupcake. Though they were technically closed, they asked me what I was looking for and checked their stock. Thankfully, they had a fresh carrot cake for my birthday. The cake was moist and flavorful, and the frosting was super light -- If you're looking for a super dense cream cheese frosting, this isn't the cake for you. You know very well that at 6pm you guys are closed. You cannot bring a cake on a spot from Hallandale to Boca. I don't think you can full anyone with that. I had the place paid for 2 hours, can't tell them please wait for the bakery in Hallandale to bake the same cake and bring it over "ON THE SPOT". You didn't check my message that day but even the next day you didn't check the message until I send you a second message. I wander why you guys replied to the messages right away when I was trying to place an order. Doesn't that tell you something. And you cannot tell me how much each detail in the cake cost because that is irrelevant when you mess up the major thing that is the flavor. But what irritated me the most was your way of handling it. Everyone that will read this will know that "FIXING YOUR MISTAKE ON THE SPOT" IS A LIE. You offered another cake at the beginning like I need to make a collection of cakes. Then you said either the cake or 20% of the price of the cake which according to you is your refund policy.
