No Sir, I am quite sure that I have the correct company since I worked for Mr. Dawson (your father)…read morefor two years at least. So Dawson took off on a Thursday over two months ago before Christmas and left about 17 employees stranded without the money owed to them AND without a job!! Now it's almost March, I've called the local county police and they're currently investigating as well as the Virginia Employment Commission because I can't file my taxes with the IRS because this company hasn't provided me with my W-2. I suggest my former supervisor, the former secretary, the owner, Thomas Dawson or his son contact me IMMEDIATELY to rectify this issue so I can get the $1,200 still owed to me for months now as well as the legal documentation required by the US Government so that I can follow the law and file my taxes!!! This is completely unecceptable as well as illegal!! As far as them as a painting company, I'm sorry to all the clients and house projects that they left in the lurch when they closed up shop suddenly on a Friday and padlocked the door for good. So YES SIR, I absolutely know that I'm talking about the correct company!! You can reach me at my cell number to reach me, my former supervisor and Dawson himself know how to reach me! As far as potential customers, BEWARE!!! You may pay upfront for a project and then they'll just disappear in the night and run to the Eastern Shore with your money!! Watch out!!

I'm very happy with the service and work Jett Painting provided to refresh my living room, kitchen,…read moredining room, and office. When I bought my home 13 years ago, I planned to paint the walls myself to cover the mustard yellow the previous owner had used on all the interior walls. Despite my intentions, I never found the right time for such a huge project; it felt overwhelming, and time ticked on, and I discovered I had settled for living with a color I hated. I realized I needed help, and it wouldn't hurt to get an estimate from a professional. I'd seen Jett Painting sponsored youth sports with ads at the fields, so I figured if they were giving back to their community, I should call them first. Nate arrived promptly and gave me a fair price that pushed me over the edge to give up on doing this big project myself and let his crew take care of it. The crew finished in a day and a half what would likely have taken me four to six weeks. I'm SO GLAD I hired his professional crew! When I saw the results, there was no way I could ever make my home look as nice as they did. The crew covered the floors, then patched and repaired the drywall spots and nail holes; next, they sanded it all down, and then came the exciting part: watching the old color disappear as it took on a new, brighter color. His crew had a steady hand and made perfect cut lines at the ceiling and around the trim. I'm positive I would have botched it up. What do I regret? Not calling Jett Painting years ago. Don't be like me and waste years looking at walls that don't make you happy. Give Jett Painting a call, and you'll be as happy with your new walls as I am.

It was done with great care, 5 weeks of uninterrupted work, with diligence and good spirits. Jeff and his crew showed up on time every day, worked hard, and left the work site in good condition at the end of the day. Every detail on the house was expertly addressed including not just paint but also carpentry, masonry, trim, and screen repairs. The cost of the job was that as originally proposed and never was additional payment requested. The team was very pleasant and seemed to enjoy their work. Jeff was careful to keep us updated daily on work progress and any issues that came up during the course of the project. Any problems were quickly addressed with a good solution. We feel like the Newlin Company worked on our house as though it was their own and we are so happy with the finished product.

The price went from $200 to $460. The work that was done was good a price and was worth it. I could have bought the parts myself, but he didn't tell me that until after work was done. He also did not tell me that they only take cash or checks. I did specifically ask if they take debit cards and he said yes, but they do not take debit or credit cards. 2 stars is because if the original diagnosis was right, I would not have had the supply line replaced. Also, if I knew they did not take credit or debit cards I would have bought the parts myself and had the work done later. Communication and diagnosis could have been better.

We were pleased with his crew and the work they did. 25 years later, needing exterior wood rot to be fixed and the house's trim to be painted, we thought again of Dori. His business has grown but his approach has not changed. The estimate that Scott and Pablo gave was thorough, Marvin and the crew showed up on time, worked tirelessly, were courteous, cleaned up after themselves, and did an outstanding job. Of course, as Dori led us to expect, the team discovered additional rot as they worked. I cannot overstate the diligence Marvin in particular brought to the task of identifying and fixing the rot. Dori's company is not inexpensive but it is worth every penny. We could not be more pleased about the work his team did or more enthusiastic about Dori and the company and culture he has built and maintained over time.
