This is one my local bakeries in Mortdale and is located conveniently across the road from the station. They stock the usual round white rolls, burger buns, iced donuts and confectionary. For those of you that don't eat breakfast, shame on you. But then again, shame on me too. I'll admit I tend to miss the most important meal of the day as well. On mornings where you need to rush out of the house to make it to the 8.15am train to central on time, head towards the Mortdale Hot Bread awning and they'll fix you up with a buttery croissant or cheese and bacon roll. As for me, I'm partial to their olive, capsicum and cheese rolls. They're a million times better when they've been heated up for ten seconds, and the friendly staff there won't hesitate to do this for you if you ask them. Ten seconds and a couple of dollars later, you'll be happily munching on the train on the way to the city. read more
