Weddings in Woodinville is a really fun wedding show. You should trust me because I've been there…read morethree times! It takes place every year on the last Sunday in January. The regular tickets for 2019 were $50 each, but they also had early bird tickets for $40. This event always sells out, so buy your tickets early! For 2019 they chose seven venues in Woodinville: Chateau Lill, Columbia Winery, Hollywood Schoolhouse, JM Cellars, Novelty Hill Januik, Willows Lodge, and The Woodhouse Wine Estates. They also featured seven different wedding planners. Basically, each planner coordinates a "wedding" at their venue. Each place has a theme, wedding colors, flowers, a DJ or live entertainment, a photobooth, a caterer, and a dessert vendor. They also have other things like wedding dresses, menswear, hair/makeup artists, jewelry, etc. Since the entire place is fully decorated, you feel the ambiance of a real wedding. All of the vendors involved will be on site, so you can talk to them in person. At the beginning of the event, you park at The Woodhouse Wine Estates. Registration takes place inside a big tent in the parking lot. You can register anytime between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM, but the actual tour takes place between 12 PM and 5 PM. You will get a large burlap tote bag to hold your stuff and a small notepad to take notes. Since there are seven different venues, they provide luxury shuttles as transportation (Butler Seattle). The shuttles are very comfortable (you can stand up in them!) and the drivers are really nice. Each one holds about 20 people and they run every few minutes. You can stay at each place as long (or as little) as you like, but they recommend spending at least 30 minutes at each location. Weddings in Woodinville is a like a real life Pinterest board! You will definitely get some cool wedding inspo by attending this event. Plus, it is incredibly valuable to talk to the vendors in person instead of e-mailing them questions back and forth. It is so much better to see their work in real life, instead of just looking at pictures on their website. This event feels unique every year because they get different wedding planners each time. They usually show a variety of wedding styles and have vendors for all types of budgets. Even though this event takes place in Woodinville, most of the vendors involved will do weddings all over the Pacific Northwest. Lastly, you get plenty of delicious free food here (appetizers, wine, desserts), so it is impossible to leave hungry. :-)

I understand, its all about the bride, but I still paid $40 and they don't give you the bags for holding stuff, the information, the flowers, nothing! The best part is probably the limo rides and the free hot dog outside. There isn't that much wine, so don't go for that. We saw some cool ideas, but also know that the vendors they invite are really expensive. For example, we saw a really cool decor idea: the decorator specialized in weddings over $100,000 dude. The set-up before booking the locale, dress, food anything was $40k! No wonder it looks great.

The day-of coordination was also SO helpful - having their team there to keep everything moving and handle all the little details behind the scenes took so much off our plate. The venue itself is absolutely GORGEOUS, and the food was incredible. We had guests raving about it all night and even afterward! More than anything, the people are what make Fireseed so special. It's a family-owned business with the nicest staff and genuinely wonderful people behind it. The value they provided far exceeded the price in every category - the venue, food, coordination, service, and entire weekend experience. TERRIBLE venue management under the guise of a beautiful space…read more In short, three months after signing with The Barn at Holly Farm we were told management would rather start a year of self-initiated renovations than honor their contract with us. Their decision not only affected us, but at least nine other couples who had booked weddings there too. For my fiancé and me, this left us with less than 7 months before the wedding date to find a new venue and re-plan our entire event. It took over a month for us to find a new space that could accommodate our wedding size indoors. To receive a full refund, we were expected to sign a document that stated we wouldn't make any comments which "may, directly or indirectly, disparage" The Barn at Holly Farm (obviously we did not accept those terms). It then took over a month to receive the funds for The Barn's breach of contract. I hope no other couple has to experience The Barn at Holly Farm's mismanagement and the nightmare experience they caused at least 10 couples in 2021!

We worked with Karmel as well as a flower vendor (Dirty Girl) and photographers (GSquared) whom Karmel recommended. Part of the reason we were drawn to this venue is because of the good works that they do with equine therapy and rescued farm animals. Our experience with the Barn was fantastic. We really hit it off with Karmel and she made planning the wedding fun and low stress. The vendors she recommended also did a great job and at the end of the day, are just good people. I feel like they all connected with us on a personal level. One fun perk this venue offered is for a small fee someone from the Barn takes guests out to meet some of the animals (chickens, goats, llamas, etc.) during the social hour before the reception. This was a lovely and charming way to start the celebration. I think that what we paid was fair for the service we received. The only snafu at the very end was having to pack our own stuff even though we paid extra for the clean-up service, but it was mostly just our personal belongings and it wasn't a big deal. There's always a little wedding drama - in this case our own guests, and the way that Karmel and vendors went about handling it to reduce the stress on us was beautifully done. They were respectful and discreet and we were incredibly grateful for their support. The space itself on the day of the wedding was absolutely stunning and everything was set up exactly as we had planned. It was a truly magical day and I'm so glad we chose the Barn to get married. I'd do it all over again. :)

We liked the large windows in the back that showed the trees and forest (our family member who passed was an avid hiker and outdoor lover). There is a kitchen that includes a 30-cup coffee maker, as well as two lovely water dispensers, and much more. There is a large screen with the electronics and speakers to show a slide show or movie. The parking lot is huge, the place is easy to find, right off the road, but it feels peaceful and secluded. The proprietor, Autumn, met us there to go through the electronics and the other details, and before I showed with all my snacks and flowers, she'd already put white tablecloths on all five (huge) tables, and pulled out additional smaller tables for pictures and memorabilia. The venue is absolutely beautiful and they do a good job keeping the place clean. Throughout the process of planning my wedding they were always a phone call or text away. We got along great with the Lovins and I highly recommend booking this venue. My mom got along great with them and Heidi made sure my day was perfect. She even helped decorate and helped with my dress when I found out it was too big. Thank you for making my big day so special.

Couldn't have asked for a more perfect location for what we were looking for! That being said, there are definitely some limitations with this venue, so I've tried to list them below. Pros: - Very affordable, even on a Saturday afternoon/evening in the middle of the summer! (check their website for current rates: https://www.kirklandwa.gov/depart/parks/Permits_and_Reservations/Facility_Rentals/heritage_hall.htm#rentalhours). - No limitations on catering/bartending. You can hire whoever you wish to cater! - Air conditioning! This wasn't something I thought would be such a big benefit, but this summer the heat was atrocious and having the AC was such a relief. - 2 bathrooms (one on ground level, one downstairs). - I feel like this beautiful location was made for a wedding. Guests could flow so easily between each space (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner), there were fantastic spots for wedding photos (e.g., the steps in front of Heritage Hall, the dock of Kirkland Marina Boat Launch, the huge gazebo at Marina Park Pavilion), and there were tons of bars just down the street in downtown Kirkland to choose from for the after party (we went to Flatstick Pub!). - The ladies at the City of Kirkland were so nice and easy to work with. I was planning this entire wedding from across the country and they answered all my questions and tried to help out in every way possible leading up to the big day. The indoor part of this venue is only an option for those with a small number of guests (max capacity in the Hall is 70). We only had a wedding of 62 people, and I still had fears about fitting everyone inside Heritage Hall and having them seated for dinner. It ended up working out, but the tables and chairs weren't the recommended distance apart that all the stuff online suggests so I'm sure everyone felt cozy. - Parking. Not the most fun because there is no dedicated parking for events and the spaces directly around Heritage Hall are all metered or time-limited (e.g., 4 hours, which wasn't long enough for our wedding). I think our guests either parked farther away or moved their cars halfway through. - No chairs/tables for outside. The venue comes with 15 rectangular tables and 70 chairs that you can use inside of the Hall, but you have to separately bring or rent chairs and cocktail tables if you wish to have any outside. You also can't have equipment dropped off in advance or left beyond your rental period, so you need to pay to have same-day drop off and pick up. It ended up costing over $500 to hire a rental company just to drop off and pick up 52 chairs and 4 cocktail tables w/linens, so that was an extra expense I hadn't initially anticipated. - No AV system. This isn't really an issue inside Heritage Hall because the space is small enough it's easy to project your voice, but we ended up renting an AV system for $200 to use outside for music/mic during the ceremony and dancing. If you do this, just note there is only 1 outlet on the outside of Heritage Hall on the patio, so you may need to get extension cords. - No real kitchen (only mini-fridge). This might be an issue if you plan on having true catering or need to keep items cold. - Alcohol could only be beer and wine; no cocktails, hard liquor, or beer kegs. This was fine for us, but if you plan on having signature cocktails, you'll need to look elsewhere. Overall, if you are looking for space to host a small, simple wedding with no frills but amazing grounds and easy access to other locations for catering options, photos, and after party, I can't recommend Heritage Hall enough.

It was great for so many reasons - we could say, Hey our location only holds 60 people so we have to keep it small, sorry! The people at the city of Kirkland were so easy to work with, and it had air conditioning (which was great for our 95 degree wedding day on June 30th)! The slight downside of working with the city is that you can only preview the location during weekday working hours, and you only get 15 minutes to walk around, but believe me, that's all you need. We were all worried we would be rushed, but we walked in and you enter right into the room from the front doors, and it's all right there. There is a bathroom downstairs you could get ready in that you can't really see from the info on the website. There are plenty of tables and chairs available as well, but they are only to be used indoors, which worked out great for us. You can't find a better location right next to the water for the same price point. We were very pleased!

I will always remember my wedding day as beautiful and stress free because of the services provided by this business. A Chapel on Swan's Trail is a gorgeous venue with an incredibly helpful staff. The Chapel is over 100 years old and located up high on a hill with a beautiful view overlooking the Snohomish valley and downtown Everett. The grounds are gorgeous with lush landscaping and something to see everywhere you look. The best part of the venue, in my opinion, is that it can be held indoor or outdoor. On my wedding day we hoped for an outdoor ceremony but were able to easily move the ceremony indoors once we saw the rain was not giving up. We moved indoor for the ceremony but the rain broke and we were still able to have the reception outdoors. Lynn, the owner of the Chapel, seriously took the weight off of me in helping figure out all of the details in planning and she took lead on the day of. The first time I went to the chapel to meet with Lynn I was overwhelmed and after leaving I felt like things were making sense and everything was under control. Lynn even recommended our pastor, Reuben Sapien, whom everyone loved. She was able to provide all of the linens on site and even provided staff to help throughout the wedding day and (which was huge) a cleanup crew so we did not have to worry about that. If you are searching for a venue, take the time to meet with Lynn and tour the property yourself and you will see the care that goes into planning your day and into the property to make it special.
