The name is deceiving as they have pastries, breads and desserts. The decor is beyond lovely and inviting. Allegedly they were not allowed to open in Sumter because Panera and Starbucks are there. Villages planners, are you out of your mind to think those chain establishments are competition for proper pastries? Get your facts straight, you fools. This would be wonderful in Sumter too, if only the cupcakes on their own. As I write this they are in soft opening mode to figure out the traffic flow. We are blessed to have this patisserie here and I pray the Villagers (and outsiders) support this independent business. Those traveling by on I-75, this place is not too far off the exit for a quick stop to get fantastic products. A gem!

The daily baked bread alone is reason enough to walk in, but somehow we never leave with just bread. We each pick one treat to enjoy on the spot and then gather a small collection to take home. Self-control has officially left the building. So far we've sampled their fresh loaves, single-bite phyllo pastries, a non-baked single cheesecake pie, cinnamon rolls, kolache, and bread pudding with a side of caramel sauce All very delicious. And a small cultural note: for us Chicago Polish folks, kolache usually means a cookie. Here it leans more Danish-style. Different, but happily devoured. The service is genuinely friendly and more than willing to help us indulge our cravings. My friend, flying back to Chicago tomorrow, is packing two loaves in her suitcase. That's not casual bread. That's commitment. Warm ovens, kind people, and baked goods worth rearranging your day for.

Five stars across the board…read more Everything we ordered was delicious, but the desserts completely stole the show. The bread pudding was rich and perfectly soft with just the right sweetness. You could tell it was made fresh and it honestly might be the best I've ever had. Then came the crème brûlée... and wow. That perfectly crisp caramelized sugar top cracked exactly the way it should, and the custard underneath was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. Absolutely flawless. Great food, great experience, and we will 100% be back just for those desserts alone.

I stopped close to 4pm and they had a limited selection. The girl will bag the bread for you, you just have to point or tell her what you want. I did not like that she gave me what she reached instead of the one I told her I wanted. The bread is flavorful, fresh and it will satisfy your Mexican bread craving.
