The first time I called the store to address the issue, "Bill" took my information and said a store manager would call me back in the morning. An hour later, I received a voicemail from Bill stating "I just realized that when the storage seat is being used as a seat not as an ottoman it's a standard seat cover that goes on it. It's only different if it's used as an ottoman and then it would be a different cover, so you're fine with the standard seat cover." I paid extra for storage seats/ottomans so that I could use them for storage, not so that I could have heavier than usual seat bases that cost more. Also, no manager ever called me back. I called the store today, and was informed by "Manny" that I would have to pay more for storage seat covers because they cost more than standard seat covers. I refuse to pay for employee error on a nearly $8k purchase. Thoroughly unimpressed.

I was disappointed to see that most items were only 10% or 20% discounted although there was quite a bit of damage or staining on the furniture. They did have an additional $250 off $1000 spent but that really only applies to large-ticket items. I do love coming here for seasonal items but they had a small Halloween section. They did have some nice kitchen items but nothing that stopped me in my tracks or had an enticing markdown.

You were not nearly as helpful as you sound here on yelp when I had these complaints after the sofa was done. You' were completely unresponsive and refused to assist any further. At minimum, the sofa should've been comfortable and you definitely did mislead me on your product.

Donna was extremely kind and helpful throughout the process. She gave practical advice, and spent a long time looking through upholstery samples with us. We decided to completely strip the wood to reveal the natural wood grain, re-glued, and reupholstered both pieces. All the work was done in approx two weeks, and all correspondence was answered promptly. We are over the moon with the results. The colors are stunning, and great care was taken to line up the complex pattern of the upholstery with the tufting. Excellent service and excellent results. We will be back with future products. These people are wild and their own cameras and my time stamped evidence prove it. These con artists really took my shoes, made me leave the store barefoot. Offered me a $20 store credit after I called and complained and then had the AUDACITY to have my shoes on the sale rack for $30 Even when presented with evidence that these were my shoes they tried to argue that they weren't because they were in like new condition. The woman who did all of this was the assistant manager Ellen. Mind you, I asked multiple times to see their cameras and to fill out an incident report before I left the store barefoot which they REFUSED. When I called the police Ellen REFUSED to give me the store address and kept telling me to hang up the phone. When one drives past the storefront in this location (unlike the newer, sleeker one…read morein Arlington Heights), it looks like it might be a strip mall furniture shop or a competitor to CORT clearance/furniture resale. The signage is dated, unlit, and poorly located for maximizing attention, and the recessed strip mall it is in has very little else to assist here, but customers who give it a chance will discover that it carries many of the nicer brands that you're seeing at Walter E. Smithe, Penny Mustard, Abt, Toms-Price, Turk, Geneva Home Works, and others. Bernhardt, Hooker, Canadel, Butler, Flexsteel, and others. I think maybe AICO too, but not Smith Brothers, sadly. Plus it's a Flexsteel 'gallery' too (Flexsteel has a hierarchy of showroom levels, and this gallery level is the highest), so unlike their competitors, this modest-looking shop is one of the only stores in the Chicago area where one can see an updated sample list of every single fabric and leather swatch the manufacturer carries. I've shopped at all of the above stores and purchased from most of them. While the others have more items in a less congested showroom, once you know what you want, stop by Crest and order it from them. Nancy and Anna Marie are great to work with and know the industry and manufacturers well from decades of experience there and at previous stores. And while Crest does price match, I've often found that their quotes are significantly cheaper than even the biggest guys like Darvin. The only drawback with Crest is that some of their lead times for delivery aren't as fast, but they are very upfront and honest about this. They really focus on word-of-mouth and treating people with an eye to repeat business from loyal, satisfied customers. Oh, and the sales tax is cheaper at the Naperville-Lisle location than the Arlington Heights one, so if you're closer to the latter, check out the bigger showroom there and complete your order at the former (Anna Marie works at both locations).

There are tons of venders who have sections of items. Some can be pricey, but there are definitely deals to be found. In one afternoon, my kid was inspired to redecorate her whole bedroom with antiques and florals. We bought lamps and pictures, and decor for shelves. She was so happy, which made me so happy. I collect vintage Christmas elves from the 50's. I was so excited to find some. I usually find them at estate sales, so finding one in a shop was a bonus. When we rang it all up it came to $250. We walked out with a lot of stuff, so $250 was a great deal. Just remember they don't do returns or exchanges I can't believe I waited so long to show her this place. I know she'll make me bring her here often.
