In my case, this included sealants, some of which I was later told had already fallen out by my next visit. This felt very different from my previous dental experience, where I never felt "sold" extra services. I also recommend double-checking your insurance coverage before any procedures. This office does not verify plan details or eligibility in advance like other dentists do, and their estimates are largely incorrect, which led to unexpected costs for me. They also did not inform me of potential lower-cost alternatives or downgrades in coverage for common procedures like fillings, which they are required to do. On a positive note, my hygienist was friendly, thorough, and honest, and I appreciated the availability of early 7am appointments. Overall, however, the experience felt more transactional than patient-focused, and I did not feel that my best interests were being prioritized.

I absolutely hate the dentist. Full disclosure, it had been a very long time since I've had a…read moreroutine cleaning/checkup so I finally made an appointment to get checked out. I was lucky enough to have Monica as my dental hygienist and she explained in detail what would do on during the appointment and exam and the reason for it. She was so personable and made me feel at ease after I told her I was nervous and anxious about the exam (I'm a huge baby and have sensitive teeth to begin with). Dr. Arndt was very nice and made recommendations (like getting my wisdom teeth removed), but I've never felt pressured into any procedures and feel they are understanding of costs and how it fits into my budget. I've been coming here for 2 years now, I don't have insurance but they have a plan you can purchase in-house so that there's a bit of a discount on routine checkups. I honestly don't think I would have returned if it wasn't for Monica. She is THE BEST. She's always in a great mood, follows up on our previous conversations, and has a great sense of humor. She makes me feel so comfortable because she knows how anxious I can be in the chair! I can't believe I'm writing a review for a dentist but have been very happy with the service here.

Would give a -10 if I could. It all started about 2 and a half years ago when I went in for my first cleaning there. I really clicked with the hygienist, so I felt great about choosing Dr. Arndt. She sent me on my way with the recommendation of a deep cleaning. I thought it was unusual as my teeth were in great standing when I moved out to Seattle, but alas, I hadn't been in a little over a year, so I figured I'd gotten myself into it. It was awful. Painful. And I had to bear it twice. The numbing stuff wasn't working so she just kept adding more and more. And I feel like since this procedure, I have had more gum pain then ever in my life. It's like they dug all these deep holes and my mouth is still working to fix them. Believe it or not... this is just the beginning. 6 months go by and I go in for my next regular cleaning. They do x-rays. I have 5 cavities. They never once showed me the x-rays and made me feel terribly guilty and awful for having them. Still to this day, I wonder if it was all caused by that initial deep cleaning or if they were even real. I went in to have them fixed and I swear I wondered to myself a couple times if the dentist was hungover. He looked kind of sweaty and dirty, he smelled a little. I could tell he had to redo 2 of the cavities he was putting in because I felt them pop off. I even felt his hand slipping as he drilled into my mouth. My F**KING MOUTH. Every time he leaned over to grab the UV light to finish the cavity, he moved it across my face, allowing the dangerous light to shine in my eyes. I'm a professional photographer and know how bad this is for you, so at this point, I had to speak up. He got irritated and even did it a couple more times. Not too long after that, a tool he had in my mouth, slipped and popped open as he was moving it around. I felt it hit one of my canines and I tried to feel around because the pressure was crazy - even though I was numb. I couldn't tell what was going by just using my finger so I figured I was alright and finished the session. I went home and 2 hours later once my tongue was functioning again, I realized there was a gnarly chip on the tooth I had felt pressure on. I also had already been forced to set a time later in the day to come back and have the fillings filed down (I've never had to go back to have this done, it's usually something they can do right away, apparently not in Dr. Arndt's case). I called, freaking out but in what I thought was the absolute nicest way possible. I get to the office and he DENIES THE ENTIRE THING. Blames me for chipping my tooth after I had left and tells me how easy it is to do. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I am still working to undo all this guys mess-ups. I am going to a new dentist soon and would not be surprised if I have to have many of the fillings replaced. They feel wrong, they aren't the right shape, they have rough edges. BEWARE OF THIS MAN. Also, his prices are outrageous. Not only is he rude and condescending, but his dentistry skills are horrendous. I feel like I was tortured and my mouth was ruined. On the edge of tears as I write this.

I've now been coming here almost a decade (8 years I think?)…read more I moved to the other side of the city and tried out a new, closer, dentist. He immediately spotted tons of tiny "cavities" he wanted to drill. I was skeptical since I haven't had any cavities in 15 years. I went back to Dr. Curalli for a second opinion and he noted the spots, but said they're still just demineralized and that essentially, he knows I take care of my teeth after this many years and thought they'd remineralize. He made notes on the chart to recheck. At the next check in 6 months, he rechecked and said they were ok now. He knows his patients well and is not overly aggressive in his treatment recs. I needed to have a filling replaced recently and was terrified. I don't have red hair but I do have the gene that causes resistance and have a lot of painful filling and mole removal stories to back that up. He listened, got a different anesthesia that works better on resistant patients, and told me to immediately stop him if anything was even slightly uncomfortable. I didn't feel the shot at all (I've flossed more painfully) and felt literally nothing for the drilling. Most comfortable "cavity" appointment of my life! Definitely worth the haul across town for this little dental phobe.

If you are thinking about visiting Dr. Teja for orthodontic treatment, please hear my story below…read moreand strongly reconsider. I visited about 4 different orthodontists in the Seattle area before deciding on her, and I made a big mistake. My treatment began during the summer of 2022, when I was in Seattle. In January of 2023, her office unfortunately had a fire and she was forced to close and relocate her patients to other local dental offices in order to continue to provide treatment (which made scheduling very difficult). I had also been planning to move to California during March of 2023 and I let her know that I would look at local orthodontists and see if the price was going to be an issue and attempt to transfer care. After moving to California in March of 2023 I realized I would need to pay another new round of orthodontics to transfer, so I decided to remain with her office (to which she agreed). During this time I had some attachments fall off and needed to get them reattached. In October of 2023, Dr. Teja had another emergency in which a family member had passed away, causing her to be unavailable for another 3+ months. During this time, there were only 2 communications sent to me from her office, one in October and one in November. After waiting for months, I decided to reach out to her office in March of 2024, which I found out she had been back by that time unbeknownst to me. In April of 2024, I flew back from CA to get my teeth rescanned so I could get new aligners. However, her office again failed to notify me and communicate with me for the appointment until I inquired what was going on in June of 2024. At this point she told me I was being a noncompliant patient and threatened to discontinue treatment for a breach of contract. This was her way I believe of trying to get rid of me as a patient. However, it was her office that was unable to provide timely care, was completely unavailable because of her office fire, and was uncommunicative for months on end, claiming that I was being a "noncompliant patient" and further refused to continue to provide me orthodontic treatment or give me any sort of refund. I was extremely surprised and upset. I submitted a formal complaint against her through my insurance company mid-2024. They had a 3rd party orthodontist investigate my case and after months of sending in evidence of communication between us, ruled in my favor and gave me a full refund of the money insurance had paid her. Of course I was relieved but it did not take away the massive headache and unnecessary blame I took (not to mention the initial deposit I made for orthodontics and continued payments, which was unrecoverable via credit card). I do my best to be the most compliant patient as I myself am in the service industry, but this was completely unprofessional and she lacked the self-awareness until a 3rd party had to look into it. If you're on the fence of going to her office- do not. She seems nice and pleasant when you first meet her, but is totally unwilling to see the patient's perspective and gave me a terrible experience with orthodontics. There are several other providers in the area with glowing reviews which I will not name but would recommend instead.

I still have a (now uncomfortable) overbite and large gaps between my teeth that I can essentially floss with yarn. Despite pointing out these issues multiple times, her response is simply "nothing more can be done because that's just the way your teeth turned out". In my interactions with Dr Teja, she has shown zero interest in advocating for me as her patient. She gets very defensive and dismissive when asked simple questions, and has even blamed Invisalign, my dentist, or tells me "there's nothing I can do". I honestly never really know what my progress is and could only hope for the best. Attachments also fall off so many times that majority of appointments are just to fix them. As if this isn't enough, Dr Teja gave me a speech about all the work she did for what I paid by listing all my appointments, and that she should have charged me more money. I was so speechless and never felt more gaslighted in my life. I had no choice but to seek a second opinion; 4 Orthos I consulted agreed it was medically necessary to correct my teeth, and is 100% doable. I'm now paying another few thousand at a new place because of her. I wasted so much of my time, energy and money and it seriously isn't right for a medical professional to treat their patient like this.
