SELLS RANCID FOOD Please do not stop and buy food here. Husband bought our kids snacks and every single product was expired not by mere months but YEARS. The bags had black MOLD growing on them and were damp. The potato chip bags were flat as the oxygen has leaked. Don't go here for air. They charge a lot of money for very old equipment that does not work well. It let more air out of our tire than it put in. This is only for smog certification. I can't speak for the rest. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Smogging your car is a great deal more expensive than 2 years ago and now all of the places that do it charge you according to how old your car is. My car is a 2007 Mazda Miata well cared for. Many other places were charging at least $12.00 more. The waiting area isn't frilly in the least, just chairs in a room, but I wasn't there to have a coffee; I was there to get in and out fast with a passing grade and that's what I got. read more

This is now a Sinclair gas station. The only reason I come here because it has E85. I'm giving this place 1 star for the customer service. The full time cashier (older Middle Eastern guy) that seems to always be here is really rude, grumpy, and he treats customers horrible. I've been in the gas station business for 20+ years from cashier to executive and this is the worst service I've EVER experienced. I'm really surprised the owners have him working here. I bet they are losing a ton of business!!! They should know there are a lot of other choices for people to get fuel and shop. Having cashiers with the wrong attitude brings the business way down. The older middle eastern worker was being extremely rude and sexist to my girlfriend when she stopped here for gas. We have lived in this neighborhood for over 5 years and will never return to this gas station. I'll also be telling my family and friends what happened so they can avoid this place like the plague. He also refused to turn on the air machine and directly lied to her saying you need to pay for the machine / buy gas in order to fill your tires. Horrible experience at the smog place. This Asian man running the shop was so rude! I asked the man if he can help me put air in my tires because my car was indicating it was low. I am a lady and I don't know how to put air properly. The man told me to get out because he only does smog and no air. The air pump was next to his shop which was where I was parked. I told him that I understood that he does smog check but I just needed help. No one was there that he was servicing. He again told me to leave! Then a gentleman drove up and helped me. This location has been here for a while. Gas prices are about $.10-$.20 higher than other gas stations. The convenient store is also very overpriced. Typical energy drink that you could get for two dollars, or two for three, is three dollars for one at this location. The guy here did not give a crap about his customers. The gentleman that was there this morning. I first chalked it up to maybe he just didn't speak English well but nope, the guy is just an old bitter man. He gave me 3 lbs of propane according to the meter on his tank. He had filled tanks already but would not exchange, only refill. I got it home and my bbq would barely hit half power. The flames were soooooo low compared to what they should have been. His customer service was so bad that instead of going there and hearing the inevitable "I fill tank you lie you lie" from that old bitter man, I went across into Walmart and got a blue rhino. Guess what my bbq is awesome and works great. Complete scam, bad service, and I swear the dude hated the fact I was there. RISKY! I wouldn't even get GAS here! I took my car here because I had a coupon and I'm cheap, but I knew it would be sketchy because the reviews on this place are not good. I decided to take the risk. While there, I witnessed some really terrible service. There is no waiting area, so I sat outside on some chairs and read a book. While I waited, there were about three people turned away. The worker (middle-aged, Korean man) checked on another car behind me. He told the young lady that he would not check the smog because she had aftermarket parts on the car. She looked bewildered and said, "But I take it here every time!" He didn't even respond and just walked back in the building. She went away steaming. Two other people were turned away because he "didn't have time," but he accepted people after them. Not sure what that was about. The woman in front of me failed her emissions test and he just handed her paperwork and did not help her or talk to her about it. She was really confused (and probably a little slow), but this guy just pushed her along to the register to pay. I was pretty sad about that because she just had no idea what to do. While I was waiting, there was a family that got gas and went to put air in their tires. She was pumping quarters into the machine for air, so I informed her that per CA law she should just ask them to turn on the air and that way she could save her quarters. I was just trying to be nice. So, my car passed, the guy handed me the paperwork and I went to pay. While I was there, the clerk, who is probably the owner, scolded me for telling the family that air was free. I told him to mind his own business and if doesn't like it he should vote Republican. Then we got into one of those cool tough guy banters, you know, like, "Hey buddy, you do your job and I'll do my job." In short, I paid and got out ASAP. I was the only person that accomplished my goal unscathed that morning (that I saw). I was just happy to get my smog check done and get out. But, I would never recommend anyone go to this business for any reason, even for gas, ever. I don't give money to bad businesses. Let capitalism do its job and work them out of the system. Do NOT go to this place for a smog check. He will do everything possible to fail your smog test visually. My vehicle passed all computer emissions but failed his very stringent and ridiculous visual standards. I took the vehicle to another place and there were no issues. This review concerns the SMOG guy only. That person was extremely rude, impolite and unprofessional. Could have told us by a quick visual that the car won't pass the smog because of an aftermarket cat converter that has been installed on the car (how did it passed 4 months ago, that's a mystery to me), but he just ran the whole test, cashed $50+ and said it failed without giving us any explanation! If there was an option for minus 5 stars I would rate this gas station, you guessed it- A MINUS 5 STARS. The owner was incredibly rude and inattentive after my beer accidentally dropped and spilled everywhere because of the faulty bag it was in. One handle broke and as I tried to grab the bottom of the bag with the other handle, that one then broke. I tried to ask for a refund or another beer, and he refused to compromise with either option. I then asked what his name was and he told me it was Sean. My friend then went inside to ask what his name was. At this point I was outside trying to find a number I could call corporate to fix this situation. This man then said his name was Mike to my friend. Sounds pretty shady if I do so so myself. We were both outside and went to talk to one of the regular cashiers Vince, who is always wonderful with his customer service, and even helped clean up the broken glass/beer. Vince told us indeed his name is Mike and that he is the owner of this Mobil. I told "Sean" as I left there WOULD be a review on Yelp of what happened, and he sarcastically smiled and said thank you. This man needs to realize that his business will not thrive without excellent customer service, and is completely giving Mobil a bad reputation. I would've let this go but because of his attitude I decided I will not stand for such injustice. I mean yes it was just a beer but it also, it WAS JUST A BEER that costed $3!! As another reviewer said, the asian guy that works there was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional, i just got back and I am still very upset so i had to write this review. i pulled up in my car, tried to give him my papers and he said hold on it will be a 25 min wait cuz someone was in front of me. 35 mins later he takes my papers and coupon for $25 and said he would have to charge me $50! i asked why and he said because my car was foreign and he has never worked on it before, he would also have to look at the book and make sure he does it right... I told him arent you suppose to make sure you do every car right?? I asked him what he would have to different and why he is charging me more, no answer. I told him my car is a lotus but the car uses a celica GTS engine. He was surprised and looked again. He said it would still be $50. He then asked if my exhaust was modified, i said yes i got it modified at the dealer, he said he couldnt even do my car now cuz the exhaust was modified!! what!?! Pretty sure im not the only car that has modified exhaust that has gone to a smog test. In fact my old car had modified exhaust and passed every time, he was just now making excuses.
