Aray of Services turned what should have been a straightforward, professional move-out into a…read morefrustrating, disappointing mess, and I would strongly warn anyone against hiring them. My dad hired them to handle a long-distance move from Southern Illinois to suburban Washington, DC, and also paid for a full "Move Out Cleaning" of the home he'd lived in for about 20 years. The move itself was mostly fine, but they still managed to significantly damage an Ikea file cabinet by shearing off some of the wheels while unloading the trailer. That alone raised concerns about their care and attention. Unfortunately, the cleaning job they were paid for was where things truly fell apart. The "move out clean" they delivered was completely unacceptable. Baseboards and high areas that any competent cleaner would know to address were obviously never touched. Dust in those places wasn't light or recent; it was caked on, clearly representing years of buildup, not a few weeks in an empty house. You could still see clear outlines of where rugs had been on the laminate flooring, meaning they did not properly clean or even thoroughly mop the floors. No reasonable person would look at those results and call it a professional move-out cleaning. On top of that, the oven of the electric range--one of the major items that virtually every standard "move out clean" includes--was not touched at all. It was visibly dirty and clearly needed to be cleaned, yet they left it exactly as it was. This wasn't some small oversight; leaving the oven filthy is basic proof that they did not perform anything close to a thorough move-out cleaning, despite being paid specifically for that service. When these issues were raised with Chris, the owner, instead of taking responsibility and making things right, he hemmed and hawed and made excuses. He tried to blame what we were seeing on "six weeks of dust" piling up while the house sat empty. That explanation was insulting. Six weeks of dust does not create hardened, caked-on grime on baseboards and high surfaces, does not produce permanent-looking rug outlines on the floor, and certainly does not account for a dirty oven that was never cleaned. It was obvious this wasn't about time; it was about work that simply wasn't done. A reputable company, when confronted with clear evidence of a poor job, owns the mistake and fixes it. Instead, Aray of Services tried to explain it away and minimize the problems. Between the damaged furniture, the absolutely substandard "move out cleaning," the untouched oven, and the owner's refusal to take real responsibility, they demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism and integrity. If you're considering Aray of Services for moving or cleaning, especially for something as important as a move-out where the condition of the property actually matters, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. They took the money, cut corners, left major tasks undone, and then tried to spin excuses rather than provide solutions. I would never hire them again and would not recommend them to anyone. Not worth the money!

Warning!!! I wanted to share my experience with Pink Zebra…read moreso that others can consider this while deciding which moving company to use. I hired Pink Zebra for my move from a townhouse to an apartment, all within the same apartment complex. Their quote was similar to others I received, but I chose Pink Zebra due to a recommendation from my leasing office. I chose to add higher insurance coverage for an additional $251. First, they showed up to my new address, not the old address. Not a good start. Once they started moving items the movers were extremely sloppy with how they handled my belongings in the move out of the townhouse. They were taking furniture down the stairs by turning it upside down and sliding it on a blanket. This included dressers and chest of drawers. Obviously, this caused damage to the items. Other furniture items were also damaged by scraping them against walls and door frames. All my belonging were taken out through my garage. When they finished moving the items out I found screws, broken wood pieces, and a metal bracket on the floor of the garage. I saved those in a bag. Once the movers started bringing my belongings into the new apartment, more damage occurred to the furniture and the hallway walls outside my apartment. Again, hardly any care was given to how things were handled. There were scuff marks on my leather furniture caused by them sliding the seating across the carpet in the hallway and through my door frame. This was not a surprise as the furniture was not wrapped in protective blankets. They were in such a hurry to leave they did not reattach the mirror to the dresser. They just left it leaning again the bedroom wall. Also, since they broke the frame of my sleigh bed, they could not assemble the bed. The bed frame, headboard, mattress, and box springs were left leaning against a wall. This left the room unusable for 3 weeks. I moved over 50 moving boxes myself a day before the movers arrived, for which I'm so grateful. I can only imaging how much more would have been damaged had I let them move those boxes. Among the damaged items were a leather couch, leather loveseat, leather recliner, wood coffee table, wood end table, wood dresser, wood chest of drawers, a second wood dresser, wood desk, and wood sleigh bed. Once the guys were finished, the lead mover apologized for the damages and said someone from management would be following up with me. I ended up having to follow up with them multiple times before a repair person came to fix the damages (3 weeks after my move). He was not able to fix the broken desk drawer, and the owners offered me $30 since a replacement drawer could not be found. They explained they were only offering $30 since the desk was still usable. When I pushed back they upped the offer to $50. No way I can buy a replacement desk for $50! Eventually, they offered me $228, so I could replace the desk. Even though no FINAL bill was ever given to me, Pink Zebra charged my credit card the day of the move. The amount they charged me was the amount listed on the ORIGINAL estimate. HOWEVER, THIS DONE WITHOUT ANY CONSIDERATION GIVEN TO THE EXTENSIVE DAMAGES AND WITHOUT MY CONSENT. CLEARLY, an unethical business practice. All of my conversations after my move have been with the owners, Brian and Erin. In my many interactions with Erin, never has she apologized for the horrible service her company gave. Ultimately, her husband, Brian, did apologize and mentioned disciplinary action was taken to those involved in my move. For a company who lists on their website "remarkable customer experience", I received anything but. Please see the photos below showing some of my damaged items. Based on other Google reviews, some appear to have had a better experience with Pink Zebra. As I explained above in detail, my experience with them was horrible. Please be cautious when deciding on which moving company to hire! This situation is being turned over to the Missouri Attorney General's office for their follow up. I will update this review as more information becomes available.

Initially, I wanted to rent a 12-foot pod and received an order confirmation for that size, but the only available units for rental were actually 16-foot sizes. My price was adjusted accordingly based on my initial confirmation. I had hired movers to help me and needed the pod to arrive beforehand. The schedule that I received from PODS stated the pod would arrive anywhere from 12:15 and 3:15 PM, which perfectly aligned with the time I scheduled my movers. However, as the afternoon progressed, the estimated arrival window was pushed back to 1:45 to 4:45 PM, with the POD ultimately arriving near 4 pm. During an already stressful time, I expected the estimates provided by PODS to be accurate and trustworthy. When I called the numbers listed on their website for assistance, an automated message explained that while these timelines are estimates, they can and likely will change. The POD arrived about 30 minutes after my movers, and it was picked up a few days later. Karl was the driver and was friendly and courteous. While using the POD itself was easy and helpful for my move, the logistics of ordering and receiving the POD significantly detracted from my overall experience.

They held our pod in a different state and FORCED us to come pick it up there. And they held onto it for 3 weeks before they would initially start the move. They will find a way to get their money and the bank won't let you dispute it. I was charged almost double what I was originally told and charged to my card getting more charges. They are impossible to deal with and customer service manager was the most grotesque attitude. Do yourself a favor and Just rent Penske because we have never had an issue and they are always ready to answer questions. And if pods wants to question me again I'll add all the emails and contracts they made us sign.
