It hadn't been moved. She told him he needed a new head gasket and recommended a new engine since it was an expensive repair anyway. The 2017 Jeep has 65k miles, of which it was towed for 40k of it. Then she offered to buy it from him, so he wouldn't have to pay for the expensive repairs. He pushed back, and she quoted almost $7k for the head gasket repair. So I called and asked to speak to the tech. He was of course busy. Two calls later I finally talked to him. He said he threw a pressure gage on the radiator and maybe noticed a pressure drop, but since he didn't see any leaks it must be the head gasket. A 'super common problem' with that engine. (Actually the opposite is true!) I asked if he ran a compression test on any of the cylinders etc before recommending a new engine or head gasket repair. Nope. My first review ever. But I feel compelled to as I've never had such a slimy and dishonest repair shop experience. Follow up - the Jeep dealer is replacing the thermostat; a less than $50 part.

They put it in but we were not aware they didn't put the heat shield on it, and we left for Buffalo WY. Spent the night at Love's gas station and went to start it the next morning and it wouldn't start. A mobile mechanic got it started and we drove 2 1/2 hours back to Rapid City and went back to Wicked Wrenches with a new starter and a heat shield. They put it on, no charge, but we had already paid for two new starters by then. We drove to Cody WY and while there, checked on something else underneath, and discovered the heat shield was not on there. We called them and they kept changing their story, 1) it was not with the new starter, which we know is a lie; 2) he put it on and it must have fell off; 3) they put it on as one piece and the shield was left on dangling. When I asked why they didn't tighten it up, the owner hung up on me. They no longer are answering our phone calls so we are screwed. We will have to buy a new shield and install it ourselves. Hopefully the starter will be okay until we get someplace to fix it. I dont wrote reviews unless the company was exceptional or when they dont do there job and then won't stand behind their work. My van blew a head gasket, got the run around for several weeks on time frame that was originally told 2 days tops. Upon attempted pick up, the van ran worse then when I brought it in. Towed it back to Colorado and had a real mechanic look at it, the old blown head gasket was still in the van despite the fact I paid over $1,300.00 for repair. Attempted to contact Bubbas and tell them and got nothing but lies including a fake email account from a make believe CPA stating that the van refund for repair was in its way...I am leaving out key details but I'm not trying to write a book. But please for the love of your vehicle, DO NOT take it here. You would be better paying a high school kid to rebuild your engine and prob would do a better job than these thieves. I never got the money back and they damaged my van inside and out including letting there discusting shop cat poop, pee, and sleep inside....
