They took CC through their phone app with a tap and I got an emailed receipt. I also booked them coming back and told them we needed the same setup. Sal was responsive and made sure the driver was there. Our flight was delayed but the driver was still there. Same charge and great driver with the car seats strapped in by the fire department. They were rock solid.

Taxi rate calculators estimated $7-$9 for the ride, so I expected similar cost. We the called back to confirm a car on the way, they took payment. To my surprise it was $36. A second surprise came when the car picking me up was an Uber. So apparently, they used my $36 to book me an $8 Uber ride. The Uber driver was also surprised.

This Cab was in front of me doing 10 miles less than the speed limit at 55 zone! It started to get congested on the freeway from him being in the wrong lane! I went to the middle and accelerated, and signaled to get back on the left and kept going! He started to chase me , and came on my right side so angry doing at least 80mph almost sideswiped me from getting to close, and got in front of my car with constant stabbing on the brakes so I bump into him from behind! I took a picture of his plate , and called the company to complain about the behavior! The person that answered said he will report this to the supervisor and will call back to explain the behavior! I sent over the information and he confirmed with the pricing. My driver arrived promptly (actually early!) and was very pleasant. The vehicle was very nice, clean and smelled fresh too...not your typical cab. I was impressed. I didn't really talk to the driver as I was preoccupied with work emails; however, he was very nice. As we got closer to the airport I asked a couple questions and he was full of knowledge! When he dropped me off he wished me a safe flight. Great service! Compared to an Scheudled Uber for $50 plus dollars. The driver arrived 5 minutes ahead of my pick up time. The minivan was very clean and the driver loaded out luggage and was nice. His driving was safe and got us to the airport safely. Overall, it was a great experience as always. I highly recommend using American Taxi because you know the price you'll pay and the drivers are generally very nice.

We had a no show car last night. 2 minutes before our pick up time we got a text telling us a car had not been assigned yet. We were catching a train in 30 minutes. Luckily there was a Uber 2 minutes from our home. Now we also had a car for our return from the train station. We were told we would get a text 20 minutes before pickup. We Didn't. We got a text has we were pulling into the station telling us a car was not assigned again. We called and was told a car would be 10- 20 minutes. We had to wait. Just bad service. Up until yesterday, we had only one other negative experience, which was with a surly driver, not necessarily American Taxi's fault....until yesterday. (Order #507689) We were stood up by TaxI 2151 for our ride to the airport. Taxi 2151 was to pick us up at 7:00am. Normally the drivers arrive 10 minutes prior to the designated time. Beginning at 6:50am, I began tracking the driver. The car was not moving, but it said the taxi was 7 minutes away. Thinking it a glitch in the tracking app, and since it still was not yet 7:00am, we waited. At 7:00am, we received the first automated call saying the driver was 7 minutes away. OK. Another automated call came at 7:10am saying the driver was 7 minutes away. What??!!?? So I made the first call to Dispatch.....and here is my biggest complain: NO ONE HELPED US! We got through to Dispatch where we were told the car was 7 minutes away....the same information it said on tracking. I tried to explain that it was stationery there since I began tracking at 6:50am. I was told, "I'll check with the driver" and then he hung up on me. I waited a few minutes, saw that the car STILL had not moved, and called back....to be told the same thing. it was now 7:20am, no car in sight, and we needed to get to the airport! I called our neighbor in a panic and asked if he could drive us. When he said yes, I cancelled the ride. On the way to the airport , our neighbor's comment was "American Taxi service has declined lately." Three weeks ago, they left some other neighbors stranded at the International Terminal for over an hour. They HAD A RESERVATION, but were told by Dispatch, after waiting an hour, that they were "fully booked". So even with a confirmed reservation and no flight delay, they were left without a taxi. It cost them $150 to get home. Our neighbor recommended another company that we will try on our next trip to/from OHare. What a shame that Taxi 2151 did not care enough to show up for people catching a flight. A bigger shame that there was no Customer Service at all for us in this predicament. It could have been handled so much better. American Taxi....you just lost a long time customer.

I know they've been bought by a larger company,and in a way that's a shame because their service was always very personal. I still can't complain. Service is always good.
