I saw Rehana today to figure out what's going on. I was diagnosed with post concussion syndrome and need to reschedule my trip. Due to SI joint disfunction, I've had trouble walking and getting around. I'm not sleeping well, too. She ordered a CT scan and we're going to figure out a PT program to deal with the SI joint issue. I love coming here because I always receive top notch, quality care. Rehana and other care team members are always attentive and accommodating. I can't thank them enough.

I want to start by saying the doctors themselves (I only saw Dr Beth) and the ultrasounds techs and phlebotomists (seriously LOVEDDD them!!) are absolutely incredible really. i have no issues with the back of house staff whatsoever it's the front of the house that's the issue. The first experience I had was in August of 2024 when I believed I was having a miscarriage, I was a new patient and they got me in for blood work to confirm. This was my second pregnancy and would've been my very first miscarriage. I called a few hours later for results and the woman on the phone was so inconsiderate and lacked so much empathy during this, she said "What exactly are you looking for?" after asking for my results and I said I had bloodwork done and was looking to see if I was having a miscarriage. She said "Um well yeah you're not pregnant anymore." I said "I had a miscarriage?" she said "You're not pregnant anymore." I was absolutely heartbroken and even though I knew this outcome could happen it still would've been nice to have had some empathy during that from someone. I ended up getting pregnant again in May of 2025 and decided to give them another shot- and now after 2 months of going there I'm going to another practice for the remainder of my pregnancy. Their payment plans are very unorthodox to where they look at your insurance and estimate your total cost through delivery and ask you to pay monthly and pay up by 32 weeks i'm assuming so they can kick you out of the practice if you haven't paid...my estimate was $764 a month. I had asked many questions about this and said "Will anything be submitted to insurance or will I have to do that myself?" "What if i lose the baby halfway through the pregnancy and at that point have already paid for half the L&D that won't happen?" and the lady responded "We just want to ensure we get paid." The billing department also called me constantly to talk to me condescendingly and in my opinion almost gave a vibe that I "can't afford this practice" it was almost like they were telling me I was too poor to stay..she asked me if I could apply to Medicaid? Not knowing my situation whatsoever. Another thing is their scheduling department. It's almost as if no one there actually knows what work the office does..everytime I call it's almost as if they're wanting to say "Why are you calling an OB office for OB appointments??" couldn't be bothered, and when they don't understand the appointment type you need, they schedule you for an ultrasound even if you don't need one. I personally think they were trying to raise my bill because they knew I was leaving. At 13 weeks pregnant, I have had 4 ultrasounds...while having a completely normal pregnancy and they cost ~$150 each. As I said, the back of house is lovely, so kind, and listens to your concerns. The way the actual business is run is disorganized, they lack empathy, and only care about money.

He never made me feel embarrassed about my symptoms and always seems to genuinely care about my well being. I cannot express how thankful I am that he started practicing at this clinic! Also want to add that both Dr. Loza and Dr. Lomax have been very kind and professional towards me as a transgender patient! The day before my procedure I received a call from someone to review my case. They reminded me of what I needed to be doing before I showed up and confirmed time. This women was very professional and aswered any questions I had about my procedure. I felt comfortable with her advise and assurances. When I arrived and after checking in I was met with the anesthesiologist who reviewed my procedure (this is typical) detailing how I was going to be put asleep and how I would awake. The nurse explained what I could anticipate after the procedures allowing me to express the level of pain. She then explained to me the steps in recovery, Phase 1 and Phase 2 in PACU. Step 2 would is where I recalled my care form there. I will say that there was a lot of effort in communicating every aspect of my procedure. Once I I woke and was clearer in Phase 2, the nurse was attentive to my needs. The anesthesiologist visited me to evaluate my pain and made a slight adjustment. The nurse also allowed my family in to sit with me and helped me to my car when I assured them i understood my post-operation instructions. the nurse took time to describe what I would expect over the next few hours in terms of pain and how to manage it at home. She was right on the mark. Overall my experience was great. In fact I had a second procedure done several years later and the same treatment was received. Consistent, quality, and the facilities were all above grade. In NO way was my case easy! And in no way did I ever feel compromised on care; I didn't experience a shortage of staff in numbers or in terms of skills. And on the onset, they ask questions- good thing! Why would I go somewhere that would risks my health and not make sure I was in proper condition before I was cut open? OF course they could have denied me if I was a high risk, THANK YOU! I appreciate someone making sure I wasn't going to defib on a table OR have issues with post surgery care. Finally, CMIS is a surgical business, your doctor chooses wher to have your procedure done. And you choose your doctor. Take the issue with the doctor who choose this venue not the venue. This is health care today; risk management. CMIS/SCA in Mokena is comfortable place to have a procedure done and is only as good as your doctor.

I am also scheduled at the Rush Tinley Park Physical Therapy location but they keep rescheduling my appointment and I can't necessarily do the afternoon times being offered as it is right around the time to pick my child up from school. I thought trying another RUSH location would be better suited (which I informed the Tinley Park location) since if unable to do the afternoon appointment they had available he stated it would be a long time out in order to get an appointment. Now if both are RUSH PT offices why is it that I have to literally give all of my information again (insurance infiormation included) it's the same system so pulling me up by name, dob, address shopuld be simple. Then I am tiold I have to bring in the referral. Why? The referring doctor is a Rush specialist. It being sent through the system it should be there for your viewing. Then she told me that I would have to call my specialist and have them send the referral over and gave a fax number. I asked her Isn't it usually the facility that call o ver to obtain the referral since its all the RUSH system and the other facility was able to see the referral in the system. She then states that they don't typically call over to do that. It's like pulling teeth with these people to the point where I decided to go elsewhere.
