There's an abundance of history here, from an intimate exhibit on Martin Luther King Jr. to powerful videos of his speeches, and exhibits that highlight the history of 16th Street Baptist Church that really drum up your emotions. I appreciated the film about the Freedom Riders, activists who rode buses through the South to challenge transportation segregation laws. This museum dues an excellent job of honoring history while bringing exhibits to life and being engaging. I've visited the Center for Civil and Human Rights several times, but for the first time I experienced the interactive lunch counter exhibit. You hear people shouting racist slurs, threatening you, and telling you to leave, along with police sirens and guard dogs barking. The seats even vibrate for an immersive experience. It felt very real. It was intensely emotional and a bit overwhelming, however I am glad that I got to experience it. Overall, I truly enjoyed my visit. The content is powerful and challenging, but everyone should experience it, especially given todays social and political climate.

This galleries and the information are incredibly well presented and engaging. There are heart-breaking stories, unimaginable images, and video recordings that are just bewildering to listen to. The Lunch Counter experience is incredibly sobering. Despite all the difficult things to read, to see and to listen to, I came out thinking about how life have changed for the better, and yet there is so much more to do. I can understand why this place is so well regarded. It's worth a visit.

This definitely needs to be here all the time for the kids. They really enjoyed themselves. Thank You GA Aquarium 10/10 weekend.

The aquarium is open 9am-9pm, and when you purchase tickets, you choose an entry window -- we went with 9am since we knew the kids would be up early and excited to get inside. Entrance was easy, and there's a professional photo op just before your tickets are scanned, with photos available for purchase inside or on the way out. We did buy ours since it made for a nice family photo :) The place itself is beautiful inside, and staff were friendly and welcoming all around. It's two stories, with bathrooms and hand-washing stations on both floors in multiple locations, plus elevators, escalators, and stairs to get between floors. There's plenty of space for strollers or wheelchairs, too. There's so much to see here. Reservations are required for the shows (no extra fee -- just for the paid experiences), and it's easy since they have QR codes posted outside the show stadiums. We only caught the dolphin show, since we spent most of our time exploring on our own -- it was entertaining and educational, and my nieces loved it! There are tons of exhibits, plus an interactive canopy the kids can climb through. And of course, don't miss the tanks with the whale shark, the beluga whales, and the shark section -- they're wonderful! There's a gift shop, of course, and a restaurant upstairs. You can bring in reusable water bottles, and there are filling stations throughout. Would definitely visit here again!

The World of Coca-Cola 121 Baker St. NW…read moreAtlanta, GA 30313 While Coca-Cola is well known for its popular soft drinks, they also have their own museum showing the history of Coca-Cola products. The two-story museum has 8 exhibitions, over 1200 artifacts, and a gift shop. It is not a very large building; for this reason, the staff will intermittently admit groups of visitors into the museum. While you are waiting to enter, everybody will be escorted into a lobby. An ambassador will give an introductory lecture about the museum. Upon his or her conclusion, everybody will be escorted into a movie theater to watch a brief 6-minute documentary. At the conclusion of the short film, all visitors will officially enter the museum for a self-guided tour. The average visitor typically spends 2 hours exploring the galleries. (If you thoroughly observe all photos and written passages, it will take longer.) This location houses the actual vault where the official Coca-Cola recipe is securely stored. Unfortunately, the vault is locked and nobody can see the ingredients or preparation instructions. But, all visitors are welcome to post for a photo-op in front of the vault. One exhibit has a life size artificial town that is modeled after prime locations in the brand's history. Many detailed features include a Chevrolet delivery truck, grocery store, movie theater, and a cafe. There are many interactive exhibits which encourages active participation. You are able to create your own Coca-Cola bottle, clean and refill recycled factory bottles. I enjoyed these electronic games, but the real fun lies with the exhibits that involve taste. The beverage lab kind of reminds me of the experimental candy lab from major motion picture, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. Visitors can taste unreleased recipes or even create their own. Feel free to have a sample discontinued soft drinks, such as Coke II and TAB. If you really want to get the ultimate soft drink experience, there is an exhibition where you may explore over 100 Coca-Cola beverages from all over the world. Walk around with a disposable cup and try every Coca-Cola product from every continent. This is undoubtedly the most popular exhibit and it is the most crowded. While some drinks may impress your taste buds, others will make you want to vomit. Before leaving the museum, you will pass through the gift shop where you can purchase souvenirs bearing the popular logo. There are a variety of merchandise to choose ranging from ranging from apparel, kitchenware, lip balm, toy cars, and wall art. Once you enter the gift shop, you cannot be admitted back into the museum. If you get hungry and desire a solid meal in place of soda, there is a cafe outside the museum. Again, if you leave to get something to eat, you will be denied re-admission. This museum is a must-see for all ages. Even though I don't agree with their re-admission policy, this is still a great destination and the experience is overall priceless. Stop by the World of Coca-Cola for a "taste" of Coke history. #worldofcocacola #cocacolamuseum #atlantaga #cokemuseum

Pretty good attraction, and it's located next to the aquarium…read more I did find the World of Coca Cola a little underwhelming for the price, since the big attraction it had was taste testing all the flavors. However, I do like that you can bundle a ticket with the Georgia aquarium for a small discount. The merch shop was huge and had a ton of fun options!
