When going through the process of getting my solar panels installed on my 2007 home, there was in inspection done (early spring of 2021). I told the representative- Alexandro Bogdan that I would not have the solar panels installed if my shingles were going to need to be replaced with 5 years of getting the solar panels installed. They performed an inspection and deemed that the shingles on the roof were in good shape for solar panel installation. PEOPLE! If your shingles are older than 10 years- DO NOT GET SOLAR PANELS! From any solar company! Fast forward to December of 2024 and I'm getting notices from my homeowner's insurance that they will no longer cover me (after doing their own inspection via drone) because the shingles are too old for them to continue coverage on my house. After some refusals from other homeowners' insurance companies, I finally found a servicer to carry my homeowner's insurance I have been trying to get ahold of Forever Freedom since that time (2024) to find out if it's covered by their warranty to remove & reinstall their solar panels. **CRICKETS!** It is now 2026 and I still have not heard anything from anyone. No one from Freedom Forever will tell me if I need to pay, or I get the runaround about someone to come inspect and provide me with a quote. I have been getting quotes form roofers to do the shingles, but they need to know if the company that installed them is going to take them down or if they need to do it. At this time my shingles definitely need to be replaced, they are getting so thin from wear & weather. It'll be no time at all before I do get water damage from leaking when it rains. I would like to hear back from Freedom Forever because they keep telling me that if I have someone else remove & reinstall the solar panels that it'll void the warranty. What in the actual shenanigans is going on that I can't even get an email, a follow up phone call. Some communication is needed! read more

Terrible customer service, after the sale couldn't get an answer via text, email, or chat!!!!! Called and waited on the phone for over an hour inThe middle of the week. When you call their office in California I felt like they were clueless or stoned. I had them install panels last year and wanted to upgrade, yes I wanted to give them more business, I asked 8 times for a quote on batteries about $20k worth. This company has horrible customer service, I had a serious issue with my roof, and sent them a bunch of pictures of all the issues taken from 3 different roofing companies.Before they installed, I told them about it and they told me not to worry as where there panels are going won't be an issue, so just keep the installation date for our panels. Well it was an issue and now I have to have them detached and reset so they can fix underneath. They said they would only charge me 400 dollars for each panel reset, another company told me they would do it for 250 each, they then said oh ok well we can probably give you that price... Really now u offer that, should of done for free... Guy never showed up for install and ghosted me ever since... He lied about other very important things as well just horrible. read more

He claimed he was not like the other guys but turned out to be worse. He promised us 1 year free of our contract for being a first responder family. We upgraded our system based on this "free year". After chasing him down for months, we only got a portion of the free year refund and never got him to respond or the company to honor this agreement. Yes shame on us, for not getting it written into the contract. He claimed it was just a verbal agreement and we had texts and emails proving the agreement, but it's been a lost cause and allot of frustration. The only good thing about it is, I won't have to deal with him trying to get any referrals from us! Also here is a tip for you if you're looking for solar. Don't go with those companies that raise the price every year. We were able to get FF to keep the price the same year after year for a lease. read more

My solar panels went online around November 1st of 2022. 5 days ago, they stopped producing. I was just informed by the chat on the Freedom Forever website that it is going to take at least 30 days to replace the inverter, which they determined 3 days ago to be the problem. I wish that that was the only problem I have incurred with this company. In the beginning, I was told that the additional tax returns I would be receiving would be enough to make a large down payment on the note for the panels. This was to keep the panels' monthly cost at the same lower level they would start at. I was not told that I would only receive what was withheld, not the full amount, unless I had the full amount withheld. Long story short... If they tell you that you will get back $12,000 on tax rebates, and you only have a balance of $6,000 withheld in taxes for the year, then you have to wait for the next year to get the rest. Unfortunately, the payments on your note will be scheduled to increase before you get the rest of the money due in a tax rebate. Something else you should be aware of. Not every company will do Net Metering for Solar Panels. So far, my electrical costs are double what they were before solar panels, and that is with net metering. Companies that do net metering charge you more for the electricity that you use, and don't pay all that much for what they are buying from you. I had one company charge me $0.20 per KWH, and supposedly was paying me the same for my solar panel production. They cost more than the company that charged me $0.10 per KWH and paid me $0.02 for what I produced. However, my costs for electrical is still double what I was paying before Solar Panels. read more

First a sales guy came to the door claimed they were working with center point. But never gave proof Later an "engineer" came by. Gave us sizing and other information. Said we needed sight survey next. Wanted us to sign up for financing to move forward. When the site survey guy came out we sent him away without. We asked the "engineer" to provide us itemized prices and sizing calculations. He has not done it so far. We need to know how much this is costing per kilowatt ... we need to be able to compare with other providers. They just want to rush us through without a chance for price comparison Possibly their prices are as much as double the reasonable price. read more

They promise one thing and then go back on it or don't deliver. Their third party rep (we didn't know they were third party) promised us multiple things and we recently found out that it was all a lie. We are now stuck and the customer service is awful. Zero accountability anywhere and since they source out for reps and financing it's all he said she said. We decided to file against them with the BBB as well as TDLR. We had some issues with my HOA people and they dealt with it immediately and worked through it in ONEDAY!! Lol that impressed me because the HOA people I have to deal with have always been a serious pain, and seem to enjoy ruining Anthony they get their hands on. Anyways they made short work of all of it and my system works great and is less than I was paying every month for my electricity for sure. I couldn't be any more happy with them. This company has been a nightmare from the day of the install. Once the solar panels are on you're roof customer service completely stops. The sales rep and others simply stopped responding to me. If they did respond it was to tell me they had a meeting and would get answers then but they would never get back to me. They have a department that's suppose to deal with the HOA, but they are as incompetent as sales, management and install crews. Freedom forever started a fight with my HOA then walked away and left me to clean up their mess. Then there's the damage to my roof caused by the install crew, I'm on my own with fixing that. Twice I emailed their customer service to file complaints and both times customer service forwarded my complaints to the people I'd already been dealing with. So customer service is no brighter than the rest of them. I even reached out to the director of operations for the Houston Texas region and received no response. I've filed a complaint with the BBB but I don't expect much from that. Avoid this company, do your research and you'll save yourself a lot of stress. read more

Intentionally omit information during sales phase. Sales guys were very involved up until the "completed installation"; however, any follow up questions after that period went unanswered. My solar panels were not turned on post installation, but I was still charged as though they were. They did not explain the "buyback" programs. As first time solar panel owners, they left my wife and I with the impression that once solar panels were installed and activated, we would immediately see a difference. Well they were correct because my utility bill is slightly higher in comparison to pre-install. A Year later, we get a letter stating that our financing rate will increase this year if the tax credit is not claimed by April, but you can only claim it once. Hard lesson to learn when trying to Decrease our expenses and positively impact the earth. read more

Solar panels (26) installed on June 1, 2020. Freedom Forever was unable to get the system up and running until August 15, 2020. Needless to say, we were making payments on the system that entire time as well as paying a/c bills during the entire summer. Once it was running, it worked very well and was able to be monitored via SolarEdge App. Fast forward to 5/31/22...System monitor went down and I was told that it was companywide and based on transition to G5 from G4 that blew out a part on the inverter. They couldn't get the part to I was to wait (system was functioning but could not be monitored). I contacted them after the first of the year and they finally were able to get the inverter part and replaced it on 1/8/23. I waited for advised reboot and realized there was a problem. Contacted them and have been in touch with them (providing energy reports and information) daily since. They had their 'monitoring team' check it but were unsuccessful at correcting anything. I am still waiting for them as my $8,000 battery is sitting on the side of my house, 100% full and totally NOT functional. I am a very, very unhappy customer with a $65k system that I can't get serviced nor can I even get to talk to a technician. Their customer service department just says they can't get a response from their monitoring team. Really??? I have no idea where to go with this to get it fixed. read more

I have been the one to contact them every few weeks, or at lease once a month for information on my solar project. Panels are sitting on my roof not operational. Current Electric company has removed me from budget billing with a crazy balance that I have expressed via email to customer support, I did not receive any response or any offers to pay or any part of it. Representatives I've spoken to at Freedom inform me they are waiting for electricity company to install meter, the meter has been installed since July 18, 2022. Hello I am looking to take the legal route to get this mess yall have created handled. I was first lied to about my contract to begin with. I have had nothing but issues with this system. Right now it's off and not producing any electricity smh. after squirrels damaged our system I was told yall would cover it now I'm hearing otherwise. Today I had a salesman (Naeem) from freedom forever approach my driveway offering me their services. I listen to his sales pitch and was 2 out of 10 convinced. I told him I needed to speak with my wife about it and do my own research on the company and solar power system in general. His response was well I am the smart home energy guy so I can answer your questions. So I asked my question but I still had doubt. We ended up making an appointment for the next evening. As soon as I went inside I did my research and came across a lot of negative reviews. Seeing that I quickly txted Naeem the sales guy to cancel my appointment. Everything was okay until the last txt he sent. You can make your own judgment but I don't think those are professional words towards a potential client. See images. We are in February of 2023 amd they have not rectified why their solar panels are not connecting. Also their installation crew is very disrespectful with no regards to your privacy and home. Unfortunately I cannot give the same opinion as the previous ones. We made a contract with this company with the promise of not receiving bills from the energy company, but the opposite happened and every month the bill is higher. On more than one occasion I called the seller Oscar Gamboa to explain and help us with this situation but this person never answered our calls, of course, he had already earned the commission and was no longer interested in talking to me. I tried to talk to a supervisor but it was impossible. Instead, a lady wrote back and told me that the panels only produced about 80% of the energy needed. Then another salesperson came to my house and tried to convince me that he needed about ten more panels and of course a second contract would be added to my account. Suddenly the company can be good but with this type of vendor it gives a lot to think about. Now we are worried because we are paying more and more for the energy service, something that did not happen when we only received a single bill, that of the energy company. I regret it! Total scam. I was sold the solar panels in May. I was offered money to pay my last electricity bill for May. They sent the check, I had to wait over a month and a half for it. I used that money to pay what I thought would be my last energy bill. They told me I'd still need to stay with Trieagle to stay connected to the power grid but that staying connect should pay for itself with power I'm generating. Perhaps a "$10-$20 bill for connection at worst" according to them. I got the solar panels installed by June. I thought they were active after install, they weren't. I called and asked for help they told me I had to activate them with an app. Their app doesn't work, when I called back and asked for help they said they couldn't send someone out to activate the solar panels until mid-July. Guess who was paying for the electricity bill until then ME! Guess who was ALSO paying for the solar equipment that WASN'T working until they came out, ME! Because their app didn't work my solar panels weren't active until mid-July and I paid the consequence. But it gets better. I kept asking them was their anything I need to do. Do I need to cancel my service or anything with Trieagle. They said, REPEATEDLY, no. They said they would handle everything. They told me I'm only staying with Trieagle to stay connected to the grid. Lo and behold, I kept getting bills from Trieagle even though I was generating more energy than I was using. When I called Freedom Forever to figure out what's going on, they blamed Trieagle. They said they weren't applying my credits and I needed to call them and have them fix that. I FINALLY learned from Trieagle they aren't on the Solar power buy back system! I was never told that DESPITE asking FREEDOM FOREVER MULTIPLE TIMES ON A RECORDED LINE if I needed to cancel service with them. In reality, I have to pay to end my contract with Trieagle and find a NEW energy provider. I tried to call Freedom Forever to tell them they need to pay the balance for the energy bill due. Literally had several cases opened asking for a manager call back. NO ONE EVER CALLED. I've been calling consistently, waiting on hold for HOURS at a time, never getting a person. The phone just hangs up on you after you wait on hold for hours! Don't bother leaving a message they won't return your call. Trieagle turned off my power while I was at work after I told them that I can't get a hold of Freedom Forever to help figure this out. My cat was stuck in my home with no a/c in the middle of summer for hours. My cat's water fountain is electric so he had no access to water until I got home and saw the power was off. It was over 100 degrees outside. My home was a sauna. I had to pay to have my lights turned back on and I STILL can't get Freedom Forever to answer the phone or call me back to fix this! I'm still paying for the solar panels in the mean time just to keep all this from affecting my credit. This fraud and wrong! I'm literally spending even MORE money just to have power because I don't have more money to break my contract with Trieagle a company they should have told me I couldn't use. read more

Sunrun promised a great rate and even signed a contract. Then, once Freedom Forever gave a final solar design, Sunrun said they couldn't support our contract and insisted on increasing rates. It was no longer a good deal for us, so we canceled. They told us repeatedly there would be no fees to cancel if they initiated the changes. But as soon as we said we need to cancel, Freedom Forever, says there is a $3,000 cancelation fee because they installed a Vivint smart home monitor. We were told this was required to monitor the system. It was all lies from the beginning. Lied about cost, lied about price, lied about what was required, lied about fees. Despicable. read more
