Good Faith Energy - Tesla Solar Roof

Good Faith Energy

Start to finish GFE handled this project seamlessly such that I felt no anxiety during the process…read more The installation came in way under the projected timeline and even with Houston weather issues plaguing its completion - all worked out perfectly

I don't normally write reviews, and Good Faith Energy did not ask me to write this review, but I've…read morehad such good experiences with this company that I had to express my praise for Good Faith Energy. I first contacted Good Faith Energy to help with solar planning for an all-electric house build I was building in Dallas, TX. While the house was still in the pre-drywall phase, I wanted to make sure that anything that could be added in the construction phase to help with solar installation later was done. Good Faith Energy helped me out, and for a nominal fee, they designed an electrical plan and coordinated with the builder on what components would make installation easier in the future. My original plan was to build the house and live in the house for a year to figure out my electricity needs, and then design a solar system around my usage. However, after moving in in early 2025, I decided to proceed with solar installation given my fear that the solar tax credit would be going away soon. I explored several solar companies, but ultimately picked Good Faith Energy. They were familiar with the products I was interested in (REC solar panels, SPAN panels, and Tesla Powerwall 3). They are very involved with the community and post very insightful videos on YouTube. You can tell that their owner and all of the employees are passionate about what they sell and install, and truly care about selecting the right solar system for you. My sales associate with Sammy, who was happy to provide different quotes, and he offered me very good suggestions about things I hadn't thought of. Joe was the engineer that worked on the plans, and he was also incredibly helpful and patient with me. He understood my desire to maximize the number of panels on my roof space, and tried out different ways with the design to maximize solar production. Samantha and Amanda were excellent project managers, who kept me informed throughout the entire project. My install was a bit more complicated than a typical residential system. My house is all-electric, and I have a 320 amp service powering two 200 amp panels. As a result, I ultimately went with a 28.5 kW REC solar panel system powering two separate sets of Tesla Powerwall 3 (5 total). Special shoutout to our electrician Ronnie and the site manager Shane, along with the rest of the Good Faith Energy install team, who battled some of the hottest days this summer to install the project on time. Their attention to detail was impressive, and the result is a very clean install. I live in a conservation district in Dallas, and as a result, I needed approval from the conservation district as well as from the City of Dallas. It took several months to get a permit, but Good Faith Energy had experience with this and knew how to handle it. There was one minor rough patch. We scheduled a city inspection two weeks ahead of schedule, but Good Faith Energy wasn't there where the city inspector came, which generated an immediate red-tag. However, this was ironed out by the next week, and we received a green tag after just one inspection the following week. Since the install, I've had a couple minor issues with the system, but Good Faith Energy was quick to respond and resolve the issues. I have been left with a feeling that this company stands behind their project. In the end, for such a complex and expensive project, I have had an extremely positive experience working with Good Faith Energy, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a solar install in DFW.

Gage Mueller's expertise and focus on custom satisfaction made me a repeat customer with Bullet…read moreEnergy Solutions. Unfortunately, dealing with Shahin Haynes made each experience less than stellar but the most recent experience with the purchase and installation of additional residential solar panels was extremely disappointing. A deposit was collected and installation was scheduled without a finalized site plan or documented design approval ever being provided to me. When installation issues surfaced, which were outside of my control, I requested to pause the project until an internal Bullet Energy plan could be reviewed and agreed upon . Shahin bluntly stated that I would forfeit my deposit if we delayed. Being financially committed to a project without an approved site plan is unacceptable. Rather than acknowledging the breakdown in process, Shahin Haynes' response was dismissive and defensive. Requests for reasonable compromise were rejected outright, and the tone of communication was unprofessional. At one point, I was told the company was not making money on a "$5K job," which is not something a customer should ever hear. In addition, Shahin suggested a solution to offset the potential loss of my deposit would be to claw-back Gage Mueller's commission. Again, as a customer, this is not something any "VP of Operations" should communicate to a customer. The installation was ultimately completed and paid in full, but the customer experience was poor from a process and communication standpoint. I escalated these concerns directly to Mr. Vogel, the COO, on December 14, 2025, and followed up again on January 7, 2026. Considering I waited two months for a response, writing a review of my experience is justified. Clear design approval, documented sign-off, and professional communication are baseline expectations. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Bullet Energy Solutions.

The phone and website all refer you to articles. The app has no way to contact support. The Tesla dealer can only send an email and the Tesla energy location is now closed. Why would anyone trust the brand Tesla with this level of service. Sure glad I never purchased their cars. You cannot contact Tesla energy via phone, app, Chat or email. Ridiculous lack of customer support.

Finding it odd to see poor reviews here on Yelp (some from the previous decade!) as our experience…read morehas been the opposite. Our original system was a SolarCity installation back in 2013, over a decade ago. When Tesla took over everything was working well, but over the next several years our system began to have some issues due to rodent damage. THANKFULLY, this is covered by Tesla and all of our panels were replaced with no issue and at no expense to us or our insurance company. (Side benefit: they've learned a few things over the years. The new panels sit MUCH closer to the roof and have a nice skirt to keep rodents out:-) Soon thereafter we found out that our original inverters (like most, apparently) had a lifespan of about 9 to 10 years: the replacements were ALSO COVERED 100% under Tesla's 20-year warranty. Sadly, however, their supplier for the original inverters (Aurora) was having significant issues with quality in their factory-rebuilt inverters. I sent an email off to Tesla advising that both of our replacement inverters weren't working well and Tesla stepped up: they apologized for their supplier's issues and replaced our two Aurora inverters with a brand new Tesla-built inverter that was far more attractive, with a smaller footprint, yet more powerful! In closing, while we have had issues over time (to be expected with a system over a decade old), Tesla Energy stepped up and solved them every time, without issue. The only negative is that much of this took place during COVID so there were some delays in the process, but overall we are completely satisfied with our Tesla Energy solar panels and the massive power they produce. (They have paid for themselves many times over--I tell people they just sit there and print money for us:-) p.s. One last thing: note that if you decide to get solar panels from "Joe Shmoe and Sons Solar Company," you may find yourself in a bind. Years later, with a lot of warranty issues, yet trying to find a small company that no longer exists--that could result in many thousands of dollars in repair costs that should have been "ZERO/WARRANTY COVERED REPAIR." It is far, far better to go with a company like Tesla that will be around for decades or centuries to come as then a 20-, 25-, or 30-year warranty is actually worth something . . . .
