The restaurants here were not as organized, they were not set up for our arrival, seemed like they didn't know we were coming. One restaurant dropped someone's burger and it seemed like forever to get it replaced. Another restaurant had the food waiting but no utensils and it took ten minutes to get so by then the food was cold.First Tour was great , the second I was a little disappointed with the restaurants.

Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour is an incredible experience and you will be soaked from head to toe! This…read moreis my third visit this season and fourth visit overall and the ride always serve major thrills. I've been with and without my kids. If your kids are under 100lbs, they cannot sit in the first four rows. Without kids, I've sat in the first row. The waves hit you a lot harder when sitting in the first row. By the fifth row, you get less of the hit, although it depends on your jet operator. The entire ride is 45m long. You have to arrive 45m before your ride time to check in and attend a short briefing. You can then decide if you want to put on the poncho and/or pants. The poncho does not mean that you won't get wet, because you will. It only acts as a thin barrier between you and the wind. If it's a hot humid day, I would opt out of the poncho. Once everyone has their life jackets on and are seated in the jet, it starts off slow and scenic with some commentary on the Canadian and US power plants. You will experience The Devil's Hole Class V Rapids 4 or 5 times - the waves hit you like a brick wall! It's best to put anything that you don't want to lose in the pouch in front of you (glasses, sunglasses, hat, phones, etc). You can see people along the way as you can hike down to the river. The tour also takes you to see the Class VI rapids, but you can't go through it without incurring a $200K fine. I highly recommend this jet tour experience. My kids are 7&9 and they thoroughly enjoyed this exhilarating ride. Remember to wear water shoes and you'll most definitely lose your flip flops. Wear your bathing suits and bring a towel and change of clothes - you will get wet!!

I had to call to check if there was an earlier time slot available and was able to get in so if your desired time is not available just give them a call. We were seated in the front row and when they you will get wet, they mean that. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an adventure. We didn't have a car so we took an uber. The dock is located in a neighborhood so might be a little hard to take public transportation. Don't forget to get the pictures! They also create a video of the whole tour! You can also bring your own camera/gopro/phone(if you're risky). I had my insta360 with me and i used it during the first round on the whirpool.

I found the Underground Railroad tour in Buffalo and immediately booked. Why did I book? For starts, it's a 3 hour tour learning about one of the most historic and unknown aspects of American history. It is extremely well priced for the convenience and intimacy of the tour. You're picked up at the Underground Railroad Historic Museum (free parking is a bonus) and you're met by Kevin (dressed in period clothing including a dope top hat). He drives you to the key areas of Buffalo that were critical to the Underground Railroad. We had a very diverse tour group and Kevin made us feel comfortable to ask questions and to interact with our group. One of the best parts of the tour was going to an actual "station" on the Underground Railroad. It's a 300 year-old barn organically owned by McClew family who were "conductors" on the Underground Railroad. You get to experience the barn where many people were housed, fed, and clothed on their journey to Canada. After this experience 've become a Motherland C groupie! Kevin (the owner) could be a history professor (watch out, Dr. Gates!) with his knowledge and passion of American history and the history of Western New York (he's a Buffalo native). Kevin even gave great recommendations for shops, food and hotels for the Toronto leg of our trip. They offer a variety of tours so make sure to check out their website to get their schedule.

Turns out we were the only ones on the tour today, so it was a wonderful, personal experience with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide named Kevin Cottrell. He was a great storyteller and a beautiful human being. We visited many historic places and heard many disturbing and heartbreaking stories. This was definitely one of the best guided tours of its kind I have ever been on. Highly recommend.

Not scary at all. Further, the group leader was ill prepared, his audio device didn't work (so the large audience in attendance couldn't hear him) and he was not aware of the path, surprised by construction, he seemed to make it up as he went. Some history, no jokes, no spooks ... bummer, my family and out of town guests were so looking forward to this. I think it has potential with better prep, richer story telling and new batteries in the portable microphone - I recommend a different walk - this one disappointed !!!

I really like how the folks who organized the tour make it a point to talk to all the folks in the group to try and get to know where everyone is from and a little about the family. It felt personable and not like you're another body on their tour but that they genuinely want to know where their "guests " are from; not just another customer. I would recommend their tour to anyone looking to do one. Maid of the mist was the coolest experience! What a view of all the falls. Would recommend a camera with a handle of some sort. Horseshoe falls was windy and wet! I was worried about dropping my phone. A lot of people start pushing to get to the railing of the ship. Not everyone on the boat is from your tour group. We got on the boat and stood by the side rail of the boat to get the view. My son and I were standing there by ourselves and people start filling in. As you get close to the falls people push you out of the way to try and squeeze in to get their photo. We were literally pushed out of the way. Hence the reason I was worried about dropping my phone. Cave of the winds also an experience but not what I was expecting. Maybe I didn't do my research but, I thought it was something different. The staircase down to the falls was pretty cool, you really get a glimpse of how powerful the falls are. You're right up there next to the American fall, it was very wet and windy. I got a little nervous, if you drop anything, it's gone. Hard to take pictures with hurricane force winds and the amount of water coming at you. Definitely suggest a camera with some sort of a handle or something. Saw a certificate in a gift shop that said I survived the hurricane winds of cave of the winds...had I have known it was going to be what it was I might have chosen not to do this part of the tour. But at the same time it was a pretty cool experience. I have no regrets doing it, just wasn't expecting to get blasted and soaked by the falls!
