Where to begin…read more Short Version: Not dependable if you have a timely event (Show up late) Awful customer service once they have your money (Excuses after excuses and passes blame to the company that they subcontracted) Drivers showing up not knowing where they are supposed to go or how to get there (passengers giving turn by turn directions) Resulted in a delayed wedding Long Version: We hired McGinn to shuttle for our wedding. I booked over a year in advance seeing as every vendor wedding related seems to book up fast. They didn't require a deposit or anything and didn't want money until just before the event. Everything leading up seemed to go very smoothly. The day of the event, and leading up to, I asked for the drivers contact information. Being that I would be occupied for the day, I wanted to get this to someone in the event something went wrong. Whether he forgot, didn't have it, or was just plan sloppy, I didn't get that until half hour before the busses were supposed to arrive and by that point I was occupied with other wedding things. So the fun begins. The agreement was the busses (2 total) were leaving the hotel to drive to the venue at 4:15. No later. Any guests that were late were to find their own ride. That how we wanted it. Only one bus shows up on time. They have 15 extra guests load the busses only to kick them off because of capacity. Not a huge deal, but you would think you might count. The 2nd bus shows up 30 minutes late. I had people calling me while I was doing pictures, etc because they weren't sure if we had a ride that we promised. So we had people ordering ubers, driving when they didn't want to drive (they plan on drinking), and other standing around in confusion. Sort of embarrassing. Finally they load the 2nd bus and the bus driver has no idea where he is going. Not only lacking directions, he literally didn't know what the venue was. Passengers had to put directions into their phone and guide him. I called Jim at McGinns, my point of contact, and he decided to pass the whole thing off on traffic for being late. Guy, you run a transportation company. Its a Friday in Boston. You think you would give yourself enough time and not be shocked by some traffic. Keep in mind this was a pick up in Danvers, so not running around the streets of Boylston and normally a 25 min drive for them). The bus should have given themselves enough time to get there at 3:45 considering it also takes time to load passengers if you are leaving at 4:15. At worse the traffic doubles the time it would have taken them to get there and they still arrive at 4:15. Everyone else was on time except the bus so I'm not sure how much traffic there really was. He then wanted to pass the blame off to the company he subcontracted to. Jim, 1) not my problem we booked 1 year and advance and then you were subcontracting. 2) we sent you the money, not whoever you hired. Responsibility stays with you. Business 101. I didn't want to ask for much in return, just something for them to admit some guilt and realize they made a mistake. A couple hundred bucks wasn't going to change our lives or theirs, but I wanted to make them admit their mistakes. Anytime Jim said he would call me back, he wouldn't. He said he would have the owner call, he didn't. I can't tell if its the mistakes they made or how they handled it that were worse. STAY AWAY

My child's middle school contracted P&B for a school trip from Beverly, MA to Charlton, MA. Upon…read morereturn, while waiting for my child, I witnessed the driver yanking out bags and throwing them, at least 10 feet away from the bus, into a pile. Bags were all over the place. He just yanked them out with a pole that had a hook on the end, picked them up and threw them. My daughter's brand new digital camera was smashed because of the driver's negligence. She didn't even get to take photos during her trip because of how the bags were thrown. She told me that the driver smashed it when they arrived on the first day of the trip. She's very upset over this, as am I, because she was not able to take photos during her week long trip. The $100 camera could be replaced, my child having photos of her and her friends on a once in a lifetime trip can not be replaced.

( I notice that when they are taking care of you they are doing a million things, the phone rings they answer someone else comes in asked a question and they are interruption after interruption. The next time I come in to make a payment . I was worry that it was to a wrong place didn't want to be stranded in the wrong place. I asked are you sure it is for Santiago she aid yes. You all set. I pay some cash and I gave her a pre dated check. she assure me no one will deposit is. Three days before the payment was due. the owner call me to tell me someone from her office deposit the check. I was charge 30 dollars . After the money was deposit I waited a few days to see if it was going to be deposit again. Then I call the owner . She told me the bank will not returns it. She said to go to the bank and get the money and she will take the 30.00 of the price. I went to the office. I pay . Again. she was on the phone, then talking to someone else. I asked her again Are you sure it is for Santiago . She said yes you all set . she gives me a print out of my flight. The initial said SDR. I'm assuming it is Santiago. I kept asking my friends and they assure me it was Santiago. The day I was leaving the 23rd of june I went to get my boarding pass. Again I asked the girl are you sure it is Santiago she said yes. .Again she answer the phone. another person interrupt to asked about someone else and another person asked a question while taking care of me. I left at 12:30 midnight to my destination. I arrive and no one was waiting for me. There is no communication in santo domingo, They need wi fi etx. I asked a guard where I was and he said las America santo domingo. Shi hit the fan. I was stranded with a child in a place that I couldn't call no one. I had to call boston to get someone to communicate with the person. It took them 4 hours to come get me.That was Saturday. On Monday I call the agency . The person that answer had the nerve to tell me she didn't took care of me ( the same that printed my boarding passes) I call again and I lost it by them . She transfer me to a person to help me. this nightmear stated . when they call the owner that was on vacation and she said she didn't took care of me. It was costing me 150.00 each ticket to change it. The owner said (I NEVER SPECIFY WHERE I WAS GOING) ????????????????????????????????? how did you do my ticket. A nice lady said she will see what could be done because it was no fair. I call 3 days before I was leaving santo domingo. The agency told me it was charging them 600 to change it. Do what you can to make it to the airport and when you get to lynn you can come . and DO WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT??????????????They really didn't know how that happened. ??????????????????????????????they are all Dominicans. they know they deam country. I had to take a bus ,and a taxi to get to the airport. and it cost me more money. not fair. Pay attention to each person and tell the next one to hold on.

On one occasion while I was on a trip - the municipal workers in Venice announced they were going to hold a one day strike the following day. As luck would have it I was to fly to Venice on that day, so my flight would have been canceled. While I had no clue of the impending strike, Brian was on the ball. He had no way to contact me, but left several messages for me at my hotel in London. By the time I returned to my hotel he had made contingency plans for my trip. I was impressed, because even after selling me my travel, he was watching how my trip was progressing and was there to help when a problem arose. Even before I new there was a problem he had a solution. That kind of service is priceless.

When I explained I wasnt looking for cheapest, I was then offered options, and then agreed upon an itinerary, flights, hotel, transfers and prepaid tickets for the Cuban National Ballet. A few days later I received my documents, and the flights came with no booking reference, my friend's last name was wrong on the tickets (she's hyphenated) and there was no information regarding the ballet tickets. Upon inquiry I was told "her name is fine that's the way they do it, they been doing it since 2007 and it's fine", and also I'd pick up my ballet tickets "from them when you get there", but from whom and where was not detailed, so I asked again. Cubatodo refused to handle the change to the wrong name stating that "this is too much" meaning I'd asked too much of them or too many questions I'm not sure. In the end Jetblue disagreed with cubatodo and changed the name for me at no cost, also giving me the booking reference. When traveling, the visa's were fine, the flights turned out fine, and the hotel was great *see my separate review for them. BUT the tickets they sold me were for the Spanish Ballet of Cuba not the Cuban National Ballet (which is NOT the same by any stretch), I still have yet to recieve a response from them regarding that mistake.
