I live in Canada and I was on vacation on Feb. 3rd, 2026, and this happened to me: car wash was excellent but the guy standing before to go inside the washer machine asked me for my credit card and he tapped for me, and in March 3rd,2026, they charged me CAD$80.15, I called them and they never answered me, so I have to cancel my credit card, this happened in Norwalk CT, so my bank thinks my card was cloned for this employee, so careful when you pay for your service. We've been customers and members for 3 plus years. The renovation is very nice and the equipment is top notch. The only thing missing are the people drying the car at the end . I leave with water spots on all windows and droplets on the doors. I mentioned this to one of the employees and was told that the new dryers should take care of it. I have gone through 3 or 4 times with the same results. I may cancel our membership and find another . read more

Well the is the first review in a long time clearly. They just renovated everything it definitely looks very nice the vacuum stations are now fully equipped and very professional. But that won't save them from the HORRENDOUS customer service. I don't leave reviews on yelp when people do the right things. I don't think they need a good review for doing their jobs. I pulled up to use the vacuum and started cleaning my car out. One of their employees walked up and just leaned on my car. I'm not sure about the people reading this but if you aren't my friend you don't lean on my car. Unless you are offering to make my payments and pay the insurance well then you can do whatever you want. But that is not the case here. Immediately first words out of his mouth are "are you a member" no context no greetings no nothing. Just lean on my car and immediately talk down to me. I asked what he means he says, "you aren't a member you can't use our vacuums." I've been using the vacuums there for YEARS and than would get my car washed by them subsequently right afterwards. There was no "hello how are you" or "hey is this your first time here since the renovations?" Had he asked I would've said oh yeah it is and it would've given him a chance to SELL me on a membership or kindly explain how everything works now with the new setup. Instead he was condescending and rude, and worst of all he wasn't just talking at me but he did it very loudly so other customers stopped what they were doing while he berated me. My friends and I (we all drive sports cars) used to go there all the time to vacuum our cars get them lightly washed and than go and spend time together I will inform every person I know that uses them that they aren't worth it. And what's worse is one of the owners just stood there and watched their employee berate me. It sucks I was excited to use their facilities after they renovated it looked like it was going to make my car very clean and I could basically detail the interior of my car but it is fine their are other car washes where I won't be berated. Also want to note I find it strange that I couldn't just use quarters to operate the vacuum and that it is required that I have a membership. Am I required to have a membership to get gas from them because they are also the local Sunoco? I don't think Sunoco allows franchises to force a membership on customers. I'm just sad at this point we could've had a good interaction and I would've purchased a membership but I won't spend money somewhere I'm talked down to and treated like a stray dog. read more

This place sucks. The employees, the manager customer service really sucks. I pay monthly for HOT WAX AND SHINE and the workers do a half job. From the soap they put on the car, to them wiping the water off of the car. Everything sucks about this place. When I went back to the manager to show him that I was not happy his response was to cancel my monthly service membership it's just 35 dollars . So guess what I'm going to do? Cancel my monthly service membership and spend my 35 dollars somewhere else. That was the best advice this place ever gave me. One of the towel boys gonna say it's the hot wax messing my car up that's why they don't do it. How is the best package messing my car up? If it wasn't good your company wouldnt suggest it I hope? I had received a free carwash voucher from my Honda Dealer, so this review has that caveat. This is a perfectly decent car wash. It's connected to a Sunoco station, and it was a perfectly ordinary car wash experience. I've had better, and I've had worse, but for free, this was pretty fine for a basic exterior wash. read more

This place is so awful! The $8 they charge to do the inside is basically them stealing money from the customer. I inquired about the lack of cleaning in the interior and the guy got upset with me and started slapping my seats with the vacuum. The wheels were barely cleaned too. See pictures. I will preface this by mention that I have been using this car wash for over 10 years now. I drove my brand new car through it today and it came out with scratches. I unfortunately noticed this when I got home a few minutes later. It wasn't major, so I decided to wax and buff the scratch out myself. About an hour later I looked at my receipt and saw that they had charged me $138 for the car wash. I obviously drove back to get a refund. While asking for the refund I mentioned to the manager that I would appreciate it if he would take off the original charge for the car wash as well, explaining that my car came out with scratches on it. His response was "no refunds if the car went through the car wash already." I said that that was the problem, it went through and came out scratched. He basically said that wasn't his problem. I responded by saying that I don't want to make a big deal about it, but a refund is the proper thing to do in this situation. He proceeded to walk away from me. I finished by asking him if he was willing to lose a long time customer over $19. His response... YES! I Shockingly remained calm through all of this. A few minutes later after I had left I called to ask for the owner. The manager picked up and said are you the guy that was just here, I obviously responded yes. He said he would take my name and number and have him call me back. I asked when he would be in and he hung up on me with out taking any of my information. You are better off wiping your car off with Kleenex in the rain than having your car washed here. Took my classic 325i there and it ripped part of the bumper trim off and I didn't realize it until the next day. Went there and explained no apologies, no offers to look for it, just wanted my phone number and wanted me to go away. Multiple other issues, just stay clear. read more

Terrible. Complete bootleg operation. Was there today and asked to get interior and exterior done, no problem. Unload my son and walk to the waiting area and it's locked. "Sorry it's closed." What??? I had to start saying I wanted my money back, (wouldn't give me a refund), so we could leave and stand outside in the cold. Finally he opened the door because there was a cop two cars back. What a mess to have two lanes for cars approaching the car wash - at least without supervision (though the idea was originally good: to avoid a line forming on the busy street). Apparently you can unknowingly get into what one very entitled and unsympathetic customer called ´the wrong line ´. And then you are expected to just sit there forever. This place is way too busy and stressful to waste your money on. Broken vacuums, empty cleaner bottles, congestion and poor management of customer traffic. read more

Close to my house but always disappointed I drive a Lexus ct200 ita a hatchback and even though they wipe it down at the end it's never clean after 4 times I am done I'll spend less $$$ at Russell speeders and no wipe down and it still cleaner. Save your money read more

I'm always very happy with Fred's car wash!! They have friendly service and do a great job. It can get very crowded and busy so going at off times is quick and you get a very thorough wash and dry. I bought new wiper blades here and they put them on for me :) read more

Can't review the wash, as I ended up not going there. However, important to note that they do NOT clean or vacuum the interior of your car. They do give you a token for the nearby vacuums to do it yourself... If you want a quick $15 exterior wash, then this place is probably just fine. read more

Past by so many times, but never tried it until today. Needed an interior cleaning for my Subaru, including upholstery shampoo. WOW, I was shocked when I picked up the car a couple of hours later, had to step back and make sure it was my car. It looked like the day I bought it from the Dealer, although the car is 3 years old. I bought an unlimited ultimate for $49.99 a month from the Connecticut Ave location. The first couple of washes were fine besides leaving the tire shine all over the wheels and the car not being completely dry. I decided to watch my car go through on one of my last visits. I noticed that the "triple foam" and other advertised "Ultimate" benefits never happened. I chalked it up to maybe it wasn't working and I was in a hurry so did not mention anything (shame on me). Low and behold, my next wash, nothing came on again, so I asked what happened and it appeared that they knew it was not put in for the correct wash. I decided to cancel my unlimited wash because if it happens more than once, it is probably intentional and just trying to save a few pennies. If you are going to offer a service then make sure it is being done. It's deceptive practices like this that loses customers and makes other people think twice about using your service. read more

Disaster. Complete fraud. Paid for the Ultimate Wash and they didn't do any of it; car was dirty, tires and rims not polished, no vacuum token, just a lie. Convinced whatever you pay for they just give you the base "Express wash." Based on my experiences as a customer over the past 6 or 7 years, I think this is the best car wash in the area. I've also used their detail service (the Express Wax) on three occasions so far, and have been extremely pleased with the results. And at 49.95, it is an extremely good deal - especially for Fairfield County CT. I highly recommend them. read more

Absolutely horrible! Every time I go there the guys are fixing the conveyer belt. I've gotten stuck inside twice becuase the whole thing just powers down. Their $19.99 month unlimited sounds like a great deal but you get what you pay for. Stay away! read more
