I was asking around for a trusted mechanic, to do an alignment and an oil change on my Flex. (After…read morehaving bad experiences, elsewhere) Cowell came highly recommended from a friend, and I'm sure glad I went. Not only did they get me in quickly, they were very professional in attitude and service..Their pricing is on par, if not better than, most mechanic shops. But the best part....They didn't try to tell me I needed unnecessary work, or sell me unnecessary services. Sorry, there's 2 best parts...lol I was offered a ride home instead of waiting, but I kindly declined because it was a beautiful morning... and I didn't think it would take long to walk home. I do have some health issues, and what should have been a 20 minute walk at best, was just over an hour. Needless to say, I was exhausted. When it was time to pick up, I explained that I could kindly use that ride back to the shop. But the owner (I believe?) Ritchie, offered to do even better....his employees drove my car home to me. From now on, Cowell will always have my business, and my referrals. Thanks so much Ritchie, for providing such great services. You and your team, definitely go above and beyond. Regards, Brenda

And they never showed up. And the tone company was just as bad lions towing, I would never use them again. The woman that's the dispatcher was a b****. She told me at 9:30. They'd be right out in 4:30 in the afternoon. They never showed up. I will never do business with downriver spring after 20:05 years or lion's towing, they're both deserve 0 stars.

PLEASE NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. I took my girlfriend's car here to get the transmission fluid and…read moreoil changed, and IMMEDIATELY after she left her car wouldn't start. She made one stop then tried to start the car and it wouldn't start. 4-5 months ago she got a new battery and starter and had NO ISSUES with the car starting. It seems like too much of a coincidence that all of sudden the car won't start. I called and they refused to double check their work or to see what they made have done wrong or on accident in order for her to have this problem. Also, they were very rude to my girlfriend during the process of taking her car in. I have little sisters and female friends that I WOULD NEVER want them to experience something like this or deal with the anxiety of this type of situation. I'm not a bad person or complaining person that just wants to bash a company but I feel it is important to let the public know and to prevent anyone from dealing with this. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS, ANXIETY, AND TROUBLE.

Do not let the owner work on your car, although his son in law does good work…read more After they did the brake work, the caliper fell off creating a life threatening situation. they kept my new parts and installed the old ones. they refused any refund and berated me and shouted at me. Law enforcement cited this establishment for doing mechanic work without a license. They promised a refund, yet nothing has been received. I was a customer for many years. It's a shame they decline any help. Please post here how you intend to compensate for my loss based on poor workmanship creating life threatening conditions. I received no offer after law enforcement contacted M & S and after I went there in person. Your previous reply seems hollow and disingenuous. It is against the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Act to charge for or perform repairs on a vehicle when you are not certified. State agent Dennis Koss is the person who issued their violation. The shop hasn't made any offer to me for their bad work done by the owner who has no license.
