I recently took my 2000 Jetta to these guys for a timing belt change (this can be done in about 3.5 hours but is charged at 5 hours of labour as this is used as the standard for this job). Part of changing a timing belt should be adjusting the fuel injection pump so the physical timing is correct. This step was not done, and my timing was so far off that my car was having extremely difficulty starting and was not running properly, had I left it like this it would cause severe engine damage.

They also poked around in places that I did not ask them to, and tried to tell me that I need service in areas I knew I did not. They also let my car sit for 3 months, and were extremely flakey every visit I made to try and get them to work on the car as it had been accumulating dirt and oil on the white paint. In the end, I ended up receiving a completely botched ride, and a bill for 6K with charges on the invoice for work that wasn't even done on the car!
