Five stars for the shop and another 5 stars for my tattoo artist ALEXIS HANSEN!…read more Let's start from the beginning: I was definitely _that_ customer. I sent an email while I was traveling asking for an appointment for a tattoo. I gave a vague description, attached some janky screenshots from Pinterest of other peoples tattoos and said 'just do something like this'. I wasn't helpful to say the least. First thing I noticed about the shops website was the ease of scheduling and I got a bot response to confirm my booking and deposit instantly. I LOVE a tattoo shop that embraces good technology and even more if they're using it right. Less than 12 hours later (and on a holiday) I got an email from Alexis. You can sort of tell that Alexis has a warm and friendly demeanor just by the way she types which is important in the tattoo industry. I get so sick of dealing with tattoo artists that have this 'I picked a cooler career than you' attitude. Not Alexis though! She was 100% in communication with me from the word 'go' and was just so pleasant to work with. Not even a tiny spec of bad attitude. When I arrived for my appointment everyone in the shop was super friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. Not only to myself but to everyone who came in, regardless of whether they were the artist doing their work. Lots of smiles, lots of pleases and thank you's. Impeccable customer service. Everything was very clean and tidy, the artwork was tasteful, the music was good and you could tell that all of the artists really enjoy being around each other. Great vibe, wonderful atmosphere. Alexis was able to take my crappy screenshots and turn them into a very well done and meaningful piece of body art. Her technique was easy and comfortable, her lines are clean and deliberate and the healing is going great. I'm really happy with the entire experience and I really hope that if I'm passing through St.George again that I'll be able to get more artwork done at Little Savage Tattoo.

When I arrived they set me up with the "piercing specialist" and it seems like she almost forgot the alcohol wipe. When I got the piercing though it was probably the worst pain I've ever been in and I bled a lot. She said it was normal and I'd be fine if I rub qtip with salty water on it yeah not saline not cotton swab salt water and qtip. I trusted her cause I didn't know much so I did the salty water qtip twice a day. 5 days later my friend keeps telling me it looks weird so I post pictures of my piercing to an online forum and everyone said it was botched and right through the cartilage. So I spent last night in a Vegas hospital getting the infected piercing removed, getting a tetanus shot, antibiotics and cream. All this money and pain I gotta go through for one small mistake. Their vibe made the entire experience so much fun and 100% positive! The journey started with Gino, who made sure to coordinate everything so that my artist, Josue, had exactly what he needed to conceptualize and draw up my idea. Gino was able to get me in the very next day, first thing in the morning. He was so sharp, customer-service oriented, and very concerned that I felt confident and comfortable coming to the shop. I immediately knew I made a good choice, just based on how Gino helped me and answered all my prelim questions. Josue was up next to help. I got to the shop and even though he was working on another customer, he was there to welcome me, invite me in, and discuss the vision behind my tattoo, go over the size, dimensions, pricing, color... he let me talk to the customer he was working on (who also was super-pleased with his work, and was a repeat customer for him) to get a sense of his touch and style. I returned the next day and sat with Josue for a major (8" x 3") forearm colored piece. He put on a great Blues playlist on the shop sound system (after I told him I loved B. B. King) and worked on my arm for the full 6.5 hours, until it was perfect. He repeatedly checked in with me on my pain-tolerance and comfort. He made sure, as he progressed, that I was happy with what I was seeing him do: the colors, textures, details, spacing, structuring. He also walked me through everything he was doing, answering my ga-jillion questions about everything: the ink, my skin, after-care, his journey as an artist, his inspirations. He was so warm and open and mindful, it totally came through in his work. A true talent and skillful artist! I also had the pleasure of meeting his brother (and shop owner), Mack. Mack, himself, was working on some clients while I was sitting with Josue. His work was gorgeous, and I could clearly see that artistry and raw talent run strong in that family, for sure. The whole experience was just fantastic. From start to finish I was catered-to, made to feel important, cared-for and appreciated. From talking (always respectfully) about philosophy, politics, the pandemic, art, music, literature, relationships and family, to sharing a meal (since I was there for the whole day), to them walking me through the entire aftercare and tattoo maintenance process, they were 100% invested in making my experience EPIC!!!
