I joined this practice excited about the opportunity to build a career in an industry I genuinely love. Instead, I found a workplace where harassment, bullying, intimidation, retaliation, and favoritism were not only tolerated but, in my experience, protected by leadership. Employees were expected to take on responsibilities far beyond their job descriptions while receiving little support, recognition, or accountability from management. The benefits discussed during the hiring process did not match my experience once I was employed. I witnessed and experienced a culture where speaking up about workplace concerns came with consequences. Rather than investigating complaints or addressing inappropriate behavior, leadership allowed it to continue. In my experience, management fostered and protected a culture of harassment and retaliation instead of holding individuals accountable. Employee treatment was inconsistent and, in my experience, influenced by personal relationships rather than fair and professional standards. Even employee procedures and workplace opportunities appeared to be affected by personal conflicts instead of objective policies. After submitting a detailed resignation letter outlining serious concerns about the workplace culture, harassment, and retaliation I experienced, I received no meaningful response. Instead of acknowledging or investigating the concerns, the practice blocked me on Instagram shortly after my resignation. That response only reinforced my belief that employee concerns are ignored rather than addressed. The physicians and owners were made aware of these issues and, in my experience, chose to allow this culture to continue. Leadership starts at the top, and the environment employees work in is ultimately a reflection of what ownership is willing to tolerate. When I was able to have surgery to have them removed, I was still left with a mass amount of weight that my body had built up to protect them. I went to several drs and after meeting Dr. Scott Haydon I went with his services for liposuction. I went in super nervous, but unlike at my consultation he just seemed to be so handsy. He touched me constantly which I can understand for some can be a way to build trust - but it was so often it was uncomfortable. I should have listened to my instincts and cancelled the procedure. I went home in a lot of pain and couldn't wait to finally see the results. So I waited and waited and waited. And months went by.... and nothing. I called the office (I assumed they would call me to schedule a follow-up but apparently once they get their money they are done). I told them that I thought something was wrong and they granted me a follow up appointment with Dr Haydon. I went in and again - his overly touchy self made me super uncomfortable. I told him that I hadn't lost any weight and had actually gained weight. He told me this was just swelling and it would go down. This was 3 months later. He told me that I would eventually see results in weight and in inches and actually recommended I get a breast reduction to match my soon to be back to normal small frame. Are you kidding me?!?!?!??!?!? Two years later and I lost no weight, no inches and nothing changed. I feel used and lied to. I got no response when I called and asked to address these issues. Here it is 5 years later...... and this mofo has decided to add me to his email list. NOW! After all this time. When I saw the email I knew immediately that unsubscribing was not the only solution. I sincerely question that after my own offer of a full refund but only in exchange for my silence. Someone asked recently about the contact he asked me to sign in exchange for a full refund ($15,050) so I attached a photo of it. It reads (in part): "THAT I fully understand that from this day forward I will not speak about this case or Dr. Andrew P. Trussler, M.D. publicly (i.e. media- news, print, or electronic) or privately. Also, there will not further public (e.g. signage or voice amplification) or private demostrations (sic) nor discussing this case with any other persons. If I continue any of the above mentioned I am hereby notified I will incur treble civil penalties." It is very difficult to sue for medical malpractice in the state of Texas, and even then, the damages are capped at an amount that might not even be worth the trouble after the emotional drain and attorney's fees. There is very little accountability required. Be very, very careful about who you choose to literally trust with your life.

There laser is one of the best on the market. I had three sessions with Coco and she was amazing super and super sweet. My tattoo is a very dark, highly pigmented, black outline. I already knew going in that I would need 10-12 sessions to remove it. After three sessions the laser at the Bee Cave location broke, and I had to cancel my appointment. I intended to reschedule once they got a new machine, but life happens and I never did. After not rescheduling COVID happened and I lost track of time. Yesterday, 4/28/21 I went to the north location for my fourth laser removal session. Portcia (sorry not sure on spelling) was great! She had me ice my wrist for 5 minutes prior to the laser session. This caused vasoconstriction effectively reducing my swelling and under the skin bleeding. It's one day later and I have almost no discomfort. Highly recommend going here for tattoo removal. I can't wait for my next session!

Warning: Missing Shipment and Frustrating Customer Service…read more I've been a customer of The Medspa Austin since June of last year and have spent a total of $3,834 with them. Up until recently, I never had any issues when receiving my Trezepited shots in person. Nurse Practitioner Ashley Johnson and Dr. Paydon Newman both provided excellent care and really helped me achieve my goals--this review does not reflect on them at all. However, after switching to semiglutide, the first shipment arrived without a problem, but the second one never showed up. The UPS delivery photo was just a black screen, even though I was home all day. I filed a missing package claim with UPS and also contacted The Medspa Austin and the fulfillment company in Dallas. Everyone was polite and tried to help, but ultimately referred me back to The Medspa Austin because they needed to complete a form UPS had provided. Despite my efforts, The Medspa Austin would not replace the missing shipment, citing the "delivered" tracking information, and asked me to pay an additional $200 for a new shipment. I wasn't asking for a discount or a refund--I just wanted the shipment I had already paid for. This has been extremely frustrating, especially given the amount of money I've already spent and my previously positive experiences with their team. Until this missing shipment issue is resolved, I cannot recommend The Medspa Austin. However, I do want to emphasize that my negative experience does not reflect on Ashley Johnson or Dr. Paydon Newman, who both provided wonderful care.
