I was horrified by the shopping experience here today. It looked welcoming and a lovely lady introduced me to the clean shopping carts waiting for me. From there on it only got more horrifying. Nobody practiced social distancing in any obvious way. Half of the shoppers wore no mask. The aisles were all crowded with shopping service employees or Fred Meyer employees. Attention should be paid to customers' health concerns. I will not be returning. read more

Very disappointed today (6/26/2020) to find so many people shopping at this store without masks. I thought the Governor had ordered masks must be worn in all public indoor places as of last Wednesday?? Is Fred Meyer just not paying attention to this or enforcing it? Putting their customers' lives at risk..? I noticed at least 6 people not wearing masks and was there for only about 30 minutes. One guy swooped right up behind me in the produce area almost touching me - with no mask! I won't be shopping here any more if this is the lackadaisical approach they are taking with their customers' health and to the pandemic. Always a good time in the produce aisles, you guys have such great selections. I could spend hours looking at all your fresh fruits and veggies. This time was particularly special, it was my first time picking out a watermelon. Like all fruits and veggies, there are clear indications when it's ripe and ready but I had no idea what I was looking for. Until I met Jon, I asked him for advice on which one to get and instead of just picking one out for me he took the time to explain all the things I should be looking for when picking the perfect watermelon. Cheaper than Haggens more expensive than Winco. I really should make the trip to Winco more, but going there is never pleasant... For two years I came here for almost everything. It is super convenient. I knew the store like the back of my hand. Areas for improvement... the hot food at the deli( which is improving but has a way to go) , the bakery needs much help ( bread is oaky but do not eat the donuts), the sushi, and the good but not good enough organic and health food section. Right now this location is being remolded so the place is a disaster. Some sections are completely gone and the aisles are narrow. I go here for quick things and groceries but I have been going to the Wilsonville location more lately. read more

I applaud the customer service - especially Cora- for handling rude customers. Customers here act very entitled and do not respect customer service at all. Cora, and the rest of customer service, handled the high pressure situation very professionally. Although it took some time to help the young ADULTS to PAY for their work clothes, they got the job done. Do not be fooled by recent, negative reviews about customer service. They come from people that have no patience, respect, and lack maturity. Especially after they attempted to shame these people paying with vouchers! Since they have changed things around, no Books or videos or TV's any more & when searching the food items, they have gone almost completely to Kroger Food and I am sorry, but most of what I have tasted so far is awful. I usually throw it out. Even the Kidney beans were bad. Sorry. At least the Tigard store has regular brand stuff in it. However, I have had good luck with the pharmacy. But again, they have had to send me to Tigard or even Burlinggame to get my prescriptions because when I got there, they didn't have it. read more

Hello, I'm Austin I came in to get my watch repaired at the jewelry store. I told them that I do not have time I have to go out of town for a week. Can you get my watch repaired with the straps in the face of the glass replaced and talk to these ladies about this for about 30 minutes they wrote down my number and they gave me a ticket telling me to come back. Call when you were coming to come grab your watch. I come back a week later, and nothing was done besides a new battery that upset feeling that I had knowing that that's all they did the frustration I had knowing that that's all she heard to me I thought I could trust them for a simple task, but they did the bare minimum. I clearly do not matter to these employees. Fred Meyer, Tualatin, sucks. They are freezing what is supposed to be fresh Goldminer sourdough bread. The other day I went to buy bread and every loaf of it was dripping with water because it had been frozen. The pharmacy decided to close 2 hours earlier each day when there is usually a line out into the lobby because they can't keep up. Makes no sense. You cannot shop for name brand items because they don't have them in stock, only Kroger brand. read more

Nothing is where it seems it should be, no intuition was used for product placement. One employee told me that they doesn't even shop here, that it's the worst store. I agree. So far, Fred Meyer had done right by us. Until a couple of nights ago. I placed the pregnancy tests on the belt, and waited my turn, sandwiched between 2 guys buying typical manly items like beer, pickles and blocks of cured meat. I don't really care about what I buy at the store, so I didn't really think about it. I got up to the front and the woman (who like like 10 years older than me) starts bagging my item. Then she says (in a loud voice): "Looks like someone is going to get good or bad news tonight!" *DOUBLE TAKE* Checker says WHAT? No joke. I was completely floored that this would be said. Heaven forbid I bought condoms or perhaps purchased beer while I was 8 months pregnant? I kept my cool, remembered her name and went home. I called up Fred Meyer and asked for a manager and let fly. So, if you are ever at the Tualatin Fred Meyer here in Oregon and you get a checker named Alana, be sure to make sure you are not buying anything but Q-Tips and cheddar cheese (the least controversial of the cheeses.) If you are buying anything that requires you to be a certain age, or to be sexually active to use it, run away. Either that, or come up with an awesome sob story and burst into tears. Better yet, avoid Fred Meyer. Next time, I will make a scene in the store. read more

This is the Walmart for normal people. Clean with huge selection of everything, groceries to furniture to electronics. Priced right with good customer service. We were in to purchase a coffee maker for our sons house, got the coffee, added ice trays, beer, ice cream, eggs, etc. Easy check out and easy parking. We need this model in California. read more

This specific location has the absolute worst customer service. I have called many times on multiple separate occasions to inquire about an item either specific or just in general. I always get the run-around, left on hold for ever. Bounced around from Department to Department. After spending 20 minutes on the phone I get left with no answer or get frustrated enough that I just hang up and end up going to another store that was able to answer my simple questions on the phone. The only place to buy groceries near my house happens to be the most ghetto fabulous of all Fred Meyer's. See: Crack heads stealing 211's, Bebe's kids running wild as their mothers chase after them with cartfulls of coca cola, top ramen and totinos pizza. Skanky restrooms and clerks that look like they just stepped out of 1987 (and not in the hip way) The list goes on and every time I shop there I feel like I should go home and shower. On the rare ocassion that I find myself in Tualatin, shopping in their Fred Meyer is a refreshing treat. I will start by letting you know that there is an island of CHEESE! A beautiful island with perfectly stacked cheeses from all over the world for you to lovingly pet. If you aren't convinced you can try a sample and decide it's so delicious you need to take home a whole block. Aside from the cheese isle their deli is well kept and most of the sandwiches that I have had there have been fresh and tasty. Also, the deli clerks have all of their teeth and they speak in complete sentences. There is furniture, a garden center and a big selection of shoes. They also carry Ramune soda which my son was particularly stoked about, and their health food section is jam packed with items you can't get at the ghetto fabulous Fred Meyer. I hate the suburbs with every fiber in my being but I would consider moving there for THIS Fred Meyer. read more

Oh Fred Meyer, how I have loved you over the years. Recently you have left me disappointed. The remodel looks really nice, except the store and isles feel as crowded as ever. I have been left waiting at the meat counter for over 30 minutes waiting for the "butcher" to get back from his 10 minute break. Turns out it was just the fish guy and he doesn't know anything about meat. Lastly the employees. I understand everyone needs a job, but silver leggings at work? Duck dynasty hoodie covered in cat hair? I worked at K mart in high school and we had a fairly strict dress code. I'm not sure when that went out the window. Also, the salad bar was full of brown lettuce. I am super excited to eat my lunch. Still, for grocery shopping, they have a lot of good stuff at a fair price so it isn't all bad. read more

Second time in a row now they called me half an hour prior to scheduled pick up time for my groceries that it wont be ready for another 3 hours. It's a standard retail store. If you've been in one of these, you've been to them all. The store is quite clean and always organized. The workers are polite and are always willing to help with an issue that you have. They also have a sushi station, Starbucks, hot and cold fast food section, a wine and cheese area. I'm giving this FM location three stars because of the deli (lunch meat) counter. I have crossed deli meat off my list before just because I just didn't want the hassle. The service at the deli counter is the slowest I've ever encountered. Today there was one lady at the counter who was already being helped so I dashed over. I was there for 20 mins just to get a half pound of ham. It is the most ridiculous thing I have ever encountered. Frequently there aren't enough employees working the counter or the ones that are are pretty unpleasant. I've had employees slide my bag of sliced meat across the counter without so much as a "have a good day." I hate having to go to the deli counter and usually avoid it at all costs. read more

From my house it is about the same distance to this FM as to the Canby location. There are two main reasons I have shied away from this store and now mostly go to the Canby branch. 1) On a few products I purchase regularly at FM, I price checked at both locations on the same day. I found a 1-2 dollar hike in cost per item at this location. Im sure it does not go for every item in the store, but it was most definately the case on the items I was looking at. So my average savings per trip of going to Canby vs Tualatin is at least 8.00 per trip. 2) I purchased a bottle of flax seed oil from the health food section of the store and upon bringing it home and opening it...and tasting it....(YUCK) realized it was completely rancid and had been expired for 1 1/2 months. So when I brought it back to swap it for another, the lady at the customer service/returns desk was extremely rude, and short with me. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but she definately ruined mine by the end of it. I felt justified in my reason for my return, and was not attempting to get my money back, but was still treated very poorly. This Fred Meyers does withold to the standard of all other Fred Meyers but overall it is not my branch of choice. read more

This review is specific to the pharmacy. I felt compelled to write a review as my experience with the pharmacy staff here has been consistently great. After a recent cross country move, they handle my family's prescription transfers without hassle. Also, since then we have always found their service quick and pleasant whether calling in or at the counter. I had some terrible experiences both back in Chicago and here when we first moved with other pharmacies (long waits, out of standard medications, unpleasant employees). I'm happy to say I gave Fred Meyer a try and found it's consistently both convenient and offers all the benefits of the large standalone chains (but a much better customer experience)! read more

Fred Meyer is pretty legit. This store just got a remodel. Their parking lot annoys me. I don't have a lot of details on every department: They don't care 10.5 size women's shoes. They carry 10 and 11. Their wine are is larger and easier to navigate. Will be getting kegs for Growler fills in the wine department. Rare beers! no pints served. read more

I am a fan of the Tualatin FM. I've been about a hundred times and only had a few times where I was not happy with my visit. So they must be doing a 97% job! I think the produce section is great; it's fresh, great selection, and many times the organics selections are very closely priced to the non=O.G.s. They have a great cheese counter, a good meat counter, plenty of health food selections, an enormous wine selection, and a myriad of choices. Home goods, clothes, shoes, home repair, furniture, plants, sporting goods, toys, oh-and get a diamond ring while you're there! I will, however, make note that they do hang a lot of orange "sale" tickets in front of products when the pricing isn't the best in town. Other than that; I AM A FAN! read more

Shopped at this store this morning and everything was a mess. Lots of people in the stores, no stations for hand sanitizer, lots of people without masks, no social distancing rules, etc. I am not coming back to this store until there is a vaccine. I am on hold right now with them and have been transfered 3 times just to try to talk to someone in the grocery department. I am a regular here, so I don't want to trash them, but WTF? Pick up the phone! OK, I hung up. This place is not that bad, but don't expect super great service- expect average. The pharmacy is always pretty slow if there is more than 2 people in line you can expect to wait at least 10-15 minutes. Produce is actually pretty good here for the most part- as long as you don't mind the fact that they have no seasonal focus and ship stuff in from all over South America and Mexico. One time I bought a bottle of wine and the plastic bag broke in the parking lot and the bottle broke. I went in to tell them about the broken glass and they totally gave me a replacement bottle which I thought was very nice. Did not expect that. Overall- an average store to get day to day stuff for a decent price. read more

This is my usual Fred Meyer's at this point, due to being closest to my house (though there's one due to open closer later this year). It's a perfectly nice Fred Meyer's, laid out with the grocery all on one side so your one-stop-shopping doesn't require you to criss-cross to get all the non-perishables before heading for the groceries. Nicely thought out, well organized, and easily navigable: many bonus points here. Still, in the end it's just a grocery/department store mix as they all are, not cheap, with a decent selection but not spectacular considering their size. read more
