Parking on the west end of the building stays pretty packed. However, the east end tends to have more open spots closer to the building, but the entrance on that side goes into the home goods section. The store is pretty large in size and well stocked. Always is kept very clean. There is lots of checkers and self-checkout lanes. This store stays quite packed and busy most of the time. Ordering pick-up through the app is straightforward and the orders come out great (caveat is that I almost always select items for substitution). Staff have been friendly and efficient. read more

This Fred Meyer is located just off of I5 making the location convenient for most people coming from nearby. It is a larger store offering a wide variety of items to purchase including clothing, grocery foods, cooking gadgets, and even an On Point Credit Union inside. The staff are usually very friendly and have always answered my questions to the best of their ability. The few downsides I have seen with this specific location are that it is often fairly busy and waiting in lines to checkout is not uncommon, the parking lot can be a bit of a tight squeeze and I was unaware that they would be closing most of the lot to work on it the last time I went, and that I sometimes get confused regarding the layout of sections within the grocery area of the store. Overall, I would recommend this store for your daily grocery/shopping needs, especially if you have signed up for the free Fred Meyer membership and are able to get the deals they offer. read more

Security- little man on a power trip I parked to get some groceries and the security guy came out and said I couldnt "camp" there. I told him I wasnt camping just parking. Then he said it was a safety thing with the dog. Im like how? He is in the RV contained. Then he said well just move to the very back of the parking lot cause I was taking up too much space. I was taking up 2 spots. One in front of the other because my vehicle is long. There was hella empty parking space around me not to mention they have like 4 entrances that all had parking too. So I told him no and walked in. I started doing my shopping and he walked up to me with a police officer to escort me out and his reasoning was "i didnt listen to him" i had to leave my cart full of groceries in the aisle and the police officer ran my ID. read more

It was a bit frustrating with the motorized carts since one has zero power so I went back and grabbed one that said it was fully charged yet died half way through my shop so I had to go get a third one. The people are hit or miss but I will say that I did encounter several people who kindly went out of their way to help me out. The store layout is also one of the better I have encountered with Fred Meyer too with a bathroom you can actually access fairly easily. I will take an insanely long hall you have to walk down for multiple stalls that you can access easily and a working sink with soap after. read more

This is a great Fred Meyers. It's clean, well stocked and organized. There are several entrances so if you are interested in garden items, for example, you can go right to that department. Like all Freddie's, you can get groceries, housewares, small furniture, bedding, seasonal items, garden supplies, paint, hardware, clothing, outdoor furniture and grills. I'm a big fan of this chain supermarket. Plenty of parking. Lots of self checkout stands. Efficient service. Easy access on and off I-5. read more

CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! I always get overcharged here. Today when I told the cashier aka manager as she was checking me out, she says it is correct. After completing the transaction, she overcharged me by $11.99. When I showed her the error, she instructed me to go to customer service which had a huge line. She could have taken care of this in the moment, but chose to give me the run around and was very rude. Also, the advertised prices are never correct. Came to get my prescription filled and decided to buy some groceries. Overall good selection of food and well organized but my experience checking out was not so pleasant. Rude inconsiderate cashier named Tina held the whole line up so she could unnecessarily talk to the man in front of me. Several times she completely stopped ringing up his items and even left her register to hug him only to walk back around and keep running her mouth to him. Other customers were noticeably upset by who were behind me. She didn't seem to care. When she FINALLY finished, she yet again went around to hug him. Immature and unprofessional. There is absolutely nothing majorly wrong with Fred Mayer. There are some employees and management who may be bad apples but it didn't affect me. This is Fred Mayer, people. You get what you paid for. The food quality is not too bad. I bought a few essential items and didn't regret it. You honestly cannot beat these prices. I have seen a lot of people go to their cars or ride the Trimet with two or more bags. You can only find Fred Meyer in Oregon but not other places. Seriously, whether you're the person giving them one star because they don't take apple pay, or the person giving them one star because an employee wasn't friendly enough on your most recent visit, I would suggest we look at the bigger picture. * When we lost Haagen and Albertson's in that tragic merger. thank God we still have FM. At least they have a legit deli, good prices, and haven't been "Safeway-ed". * Early in the pandemic they were the *only* reliable grocery store in the area, offering no-contact delivery, doing it surprisingly well, and not charging a fortune to do it. * When groceries and supplies were getting sold out all over town, they still managed to have a respectable stock, and re-stocked quickly when things ran out. * When the gas prices went through the roof, it sure is nice getting $1/gallon off eh? Don't go to the Deli and ask for a sample, the associate named Trenton has attitude when you ask. If you hate your job working with the public go find another job. He didn't ask how I wanted the deli meat cut and when I asked how i wanted it it also upset him by his actions by then throwing the deli meat on the counter. This is going to be a long review but I used to work at the Starbucks at this Fred Meyer location and this was my experience. Tualatin Fred Meyer Starbucks is a less than favorable place to work especially if you are a woman and under about 21. I worked here for a year and 2 months. Insane amount of predatory men that work at fred meyer/are regular customers. During my time working there when I was a MINOR I was stalked by one of their employees, a man in his 50s (I'm assuming) who admitted to watching me in my car and putting cans of iced tea on the hood of my car when I wasn't looking because I "looked hot" while he watched me on my breaks. He works in freight and HR did pretty much nothing but give him a slap on the wrist (a warning) leaving me scared to come to work because he was always there and going out of his way to not-so-subtly observe me and my younger female coworkers while we were working. This is literally just to mention one of the many disgusting and uncomfortable encounters my former female coworkers and I had to endure while working here from him any many others (fred meyer employees AND customers). I didn't receive months worth of tips because they were basically just too lazy to try and figure out why I wasn't payed and how to fix it. Fred meyer owes me money. I have proof on my paychecks and I tried along with a few of my other coworkers for MONTHS to receive compensation but I quit before receiving anything (like 7months later lol I gave them plenty of time.) The store manager (I think he was recently forced into retirement so i'm not sure if he works there anymore) used intimidation and condescension to attempt to achieve submission from employees. I have never felt as uncomfortable and outright ignored to by a manager before. He clearly doesn't care about you and takes out his personal issues and frustrations on his staff. HR ran around the store for hours gossiping about employees. 2 of the leads at starbucks quit within a year and we went without a starbucks manager for months. I was asked to stay for a little over 12 hours on multiple occasions. There were times when I was working alone my whole shift and got yelled at for wanting to take a 10 minute break to eat something because I was lightheaded and hungry because It was forbidden to "leave the kiosk unattended." News flash! employees are legally obligated to breaks :) I will say the pay was good but they didn't accept digital+in-app tips and the cash tips were pretty pitiful and got taxed+suspiciously divided. Union also took out a pretty considerable amount from paychecks (around $15 per check) which took it down a little. Don't work here if you want to have to analyze every paycheck you get to make sure it's right. Don't work here if you don't want to be verbally degraded by the store manager. Don't work here if you're a woman and don't want to be watched by an old man who drives a creepy van and comes to work smelling of booze. HR claimed they looked into that too but when has that ever done anything? Don't work here if you don't want fred meyer employees commenting on your body, winking at you, calling you pet names, following you to your car, hitting on you, telling you that you're very pretty but that you need to to f****** smile more, trying to hug you at inappropriate times, or making uncomfortable and explicit jokes while you are basically cornered behind a counter and always required to be polite. read more

Outside of the fact that groceries are insane expensive and continue to increase, I love my Fred Meyers. I appreciate the app, coupons and how the system reminds me to apply the discounts. However, my absolute favorite is the grocery order pickup. More importantly, it's the crew. A specific call out goes to JD. He is by far the most kind and friendly of the bunch. Always asks how my day is going, corresponds to brief conversation and always wishes me well. I wish I could tip the grocery pickup employees. Can we give them gift cards? I was shocked today to learn you do not take Apple Pay/wallet. I did not have A credit card with me and I could not come back as it was rush-hour traffic! Also I think it is very frustrating with their app. It never seems to work and it's very complicated. Be aware and watch your prices at the checkout. The cashier was rather snippy and the manager slightly apologetic about not taking my phone. Overall I think the environment there has changed a lot. I know they are probably short staffed but it is hard to except the attitude that they don't really care. And the reality is they probably don't! Also they keep changing their products around and many of the staff do not know where to find things. They don't hesitate to send you on a wild goose chase! this review is meant specifically for the wonderful people in the fred meyer bakery! I ordered a custom cake on Thursday for pickup on Sunday. My expectations were low as we were ordering a cake from a grocery store, but they completely blew my expectations out of the water! I didn't get a chance to speak with the cake decorator, but the note we left asked for a cake with frogs and toadstools. I'll attach a picture so you can see the finished product. This is the best cake I've gotten and will ever get, and for only 25 dollars!! I plan to go back to get another cake every year. This store gets a lot of hate, but it's actually not bad at all. The shelves are usually well stocked, and the hours are reasonable despite not being 24 hours. The prices aren't bad, and as long as you can avoid the prime time afternoon rush or holidays, it's not even that busy. The employees are helpful, and keep the store organized and clean. The biggest downside is the grocery delivery or curbside grocery pickup service, which usually makes so many mistakes with your order that it's just not worth it. However, outside of that it's a great one stop shop. read more

Last week I saw the alarm go off as folks were exiting and an employee searched a black man's bag while letting several white folks walk right out. "Two hearts, two hearts that beat as one...." Is it just me, or does anyone else zone out to the muzak in these places? The listless cruising of the aisles wouldn't be so bad, but sometimes I start singing along. In the produce department. In another store, that might be cool and you might even get the produce guy, or another shopper to sing along, but: (1) Freddie's employees tend to be a little surly and (2) Endless Love definitely falls in the guilty pleasure category and probably not what you want to serenade the produce guy with while you're squeezing the melons. But that's just me -- boundaries. I've been coming here on a weekly basis for over a decade and they cover most of the bases. The natural foods/organic section is surprisingly good and I can get decent produce and most of my household items. And thank goodness they have the sense to stock both Tillamook and Umqua ice cream. One thing I should mention is that I've had two bottles of wine I purchased here in the last couple months go bad. One of them was the cheap stuff, but another was a nice Napa Valley Chardonnay, so beware. I still can't believe they offer free daycare in this store. I only used it once or twice, but still a neat option. They miss the boat in the prepared foods section and I don't think I've ever gotten food to go. Something they really should expand. Nice that they offer free cookies to the kids in the bakery and have a large clothing section with Levi's, Dockers and Columbia. Still can't figure out the whole family friendly aisle concept. To me family friendly isn't the removal of magazines, but the absence of toys and candy bars at the check-out. The key to the whole Freddies experience is to size up your checkers. Some of them are excellent and others I know will take a really long time. ------------- Update: I've dropped my original four rating, since it seems that I prefer almost every Fred Meyer location to my local branch. I love Fred Meyer. The prices are little higher than other stores, but the selection is great, the produce is high quality, and my granddaughter loves the Dip brand of clothes. HOWEVER, Kroger Co., who owns Fred Meyer, reacted unacceptably when a Portland employee was fired for making complaints of racism in the workplace. Not only did they stand behind his dismissal, but the manager who admitted to saying the distasteful things was not even given a slap on the wrist. They sent him to sensitivity training and that was it. So I don't shop there. Period. It's caused me a great deal of inconvenience, but being able to look in the mirror and like what I see more than makes up for it. read more

The person at the front counter was too loud when asking my my date of birth and name. Very abrasive. I mentioned it to the pharmacist and she apologized and even admitted that there's been issues. Disgusting trashy restrooms, overflowing trash in all the women's stalls, toilet paper stuck to the toilets, both paper towel dispensers were broken and you couldn't get any of the paper towels out. Every toilet paper dispensers were broken. Trash all over the floor. I walked up to customer service to let them know how filthy it is and the gal said we were just in there and spent a long time cleaning it. It looked like it hadn't been clean all day. read more

Yikes, that's all I can say about this place. Looks nice, but I have never waiting at a deli so long in my life. Literally nobody behind the counter to help people. There was a poor old lady waiting in front of me that had been waiting a very long time. I ended up leaving so for all I know the old lady is still waiting for her fried chicken. The only employee we saw back there was a sushi guy. We asked him if there was someone who could help us and he said "I'm not sure, I do sushi". LOL. Crazy stuff. read more

They advertise products they don't carry and never intend to carry. The manager when questioned became very condescending and rude.

After they did a major remodel last year, this store has made it back into my regular rotation of stores. The produce section was the biggest improvement - it's big, bright, easy to navigate, and it seems like the quality of the produce is much higher than before. The deli counter is also much bigger and while it gets busy on weekends, the staff there is always helpful and they try not to leave you waiting for too long. The gourmet cheese selection is much improved too, and they frequently have a staff member there with samples. I like the large self-checkout section for when I am in a hurry and only have barcode items to scan. Prices are typical Fred Meyer - not the lowest but definitely not the highest. The parking lot still sucks though. read more

Wow! What a perfect Fred Mayer! I had the honor, nay, the PRIVILEGE, of being helped by a fine looking gentleman by the name of Brandyn! He not only helped me find the items I specifically needed, but even helped me carry them to my car (I have no arms). An even added bonus was a bunch of other employees had on name tags that said "stream I Live Here Pt. 1 by Pope Cyrus VII" I listened to this and it was the best music I've ever listened to in my entire life.
