My partner and I went in last night at 9:45pm needing a couple things. It had just turned 10pm and I was looking for one last thing on the shelves and this manager was hounding me telling us "ok it's time to go." "Time to leave". I said I'm trying to find one last thing and he was SO DISRESPECTFUL. I understand how customer service goes considering I've worked in it for 8 years. It is entirely inappropriate to continue to tell me to leave when I am trying to hurry to accommodate the time frame. We love Fred Meyers but your staff/employee is killing that relationship with US. NOT ONLY ONCE , twice and repeatedly, especially in the PHARMACY department. it just happened today this morning- i was the first customer i was there at 845am. i came early coz i thought i could get the prescriptions of my 5yo niece. 1. The Doctor made sure it was sent before they close at 6pm coz it wa Martin Luther King Day that time. apparently the pharmacy tech LEILA told me that it was send after they closed... LIAR.... she said i could go back after an hour to prepare for it i understand that protocol and giving ample time for that i called my sister and tell her that unfortunately she cant go back and pick it up coz she has two sick kids and i have an appointment at 10am in glisan so i went back and talk to the other girl which i could see her name because she was covered by the separation divisions wall and she was sitting andswering the phone. there were only three employees there a guy who's wearing white coat, Leila and her. i asked her politely if we can expedite it earlier since i was there already but she wass stiff in their an hour protocol blah blah. so i said thank you and turn my back on her to call my sister and telling her to call their doctor to change it coz fred meters pharmacy's SUCKS, and she yelled. Not my favorite location. The crowd gets kinda seedy, by no way is this Freddy's fault, but sometimes I feel a little unsafe walking to my car. Knowing that this location is the most frequently shoplifted makes me wonder why they haven't invested in some security guards to cover the grounds. I went in to return a keurig that I had got at another fred meyers that same day because i got the wrong one and wanted to get the right one and immediately the guy at the customer service desk was rude. I guess he was mad uninterrupted him scroll time on his cell phone. Anyways so I return it and realize he shorted men 40 dollars and I had to ask for my receipt back because he just threw it away and showed him and all he says is the computer figures it out and walked away. So after walking around trying to find someone to help me after I basically just got robbed another associate said I was right and was trying to make it right mean while miserable mcgee is over his shoulder saying no that's not right and treating me like a fuckin criminal then another cart pusher comes up and says "just give them store credit" so again making me feel like a criminal. After a half hour trying to get my money back and being treated like shit I decided to go else where to buy the correct item I went there for cuz i sure as hell will never give them another dime of my money. My family and I have been going here as our primary store over the past several years. We spent about $500/month here. No more. They installed a register and separated the area you would purchase deodorant, razors, makeup, etc. They make you checkout twice now. So I have to take my 3 kids and stand in line to buy these products, then go take the rest of my cart and stand in line again?! Not going to happen. This review is labeled. T.M.I. You have been warned. So most everything I own is Black in color. I'm not a goth or worship dark forces. I simply don't like most color's. No real reason. Just don't. I like the color black. (Yes i know Black is not a color. It's a base. So is White.) If you ever meet me, you will see what i mean. So i needed some new "chonies", AKA underwear. (All you Vato's are R.O.T.F.L.Y.A.O. or maybe your from Cali. any who.) I needed some chonies and i dare you to find a multi pack of them in all black. I dare you! They try and sucker you by putting a black pair on the model for the front of the package and the rest are assorted color's. Jerks! So in my quest for all black in my life. I went to Fred Meyers. They suckered me in with talk of sales. Oh they had sales. Not good ones but yes, they had sales on chonies. Most came out to about $10.00 a pair. That isn't a sale. I was able to calm myself down to buy two packs = 14 pair for less $54.00 with a coupon. Buy 1 get a second for 1/2 price. It has taken me so long to find them in black (or at least black, grey and a really dark grey.) that i was about to go commando in order to never ever wear some awful color like red or some other icky color. Check price again to see if it's worth the line. 1:45 p.m. Finally arrive at pump. Should be in-'n'-out from here. 1:50 p.m. See one of four gas-station attendants look in my general direction, but continue to do nothing about the line that keeps on growing. 1:53 p.m. Person finally asks what kind of gas I need, and begins pump. 1:57 p.m. Tank is full, gas has stopped. 2:05 p.m. Attendant comes to give me my receipt. Asks me if I want it topped off. I say, "Yes." I watch, painfully, as my tank goes from $34.52 to $36.07.* Drive off, and am finally done. I'm not joking...this place generally takes forever to get through. I only go because it's often the cheapest gas around, and if you present your Fred Meyer card, you get an extra three cents off. Kudos for the place opening up (and being ALMOST empty) at 6 a.m. *Also not joking. Now when they ask if I want it topped off, I say, "Yes, but if you can make it an even number." read more

BAKERY Manager is Rude and has no remorse. Thus is the 2nd year my cake order has been screwed up. I tried to give them 1 more shot. And complete fail, and listening to a rude employee over the phone was icing on the cake. They spelled the name wrong, used the wrong colors, and left out "!!" I specifically asked for. I even told the gal ta k ingredients the order (valerie) to be sure this gets in correctly because last year the cake wasn't even ready and it had to be whipped up and it looked like crap. Low and behold, same thing happened again. Cake wasn't ready and it looked sloppy. Nancy was who I spoked to over the phone. She denied the name being spelled wrong, like I don't know how to spell my own daughter's name. I told her I was looking right at the order invoice and still tried to deny it. No "I'm so sorry" nothing. Just "call customer service because I can't do anything" and then hung up on me. I'm disgusted and apalled. As big as (if not bigger than) the pathetic excuse for a mega store that rhymes with Mal Wart... From your garden section that always features a great selection of seeds (even a robust organic/heirloom seed selection) to your hardware/automotive section. Your groceries are priced competitively. My favorite spots would be: - Meat/Seafood dept. Here is the place where I've acquired pork shoulders, steaks, roasts, fresh wild caught salmon, even a beef brisket that I smoked and was so darn good! - Garden dept. We've grown a lot of food from the quality things we've bought here. - Natural Foods dept. You're not as amazing as our local chain of health food stores but you have consistently surprised me with the offerings here. Yay for gluten free, and a fantastic vitamin/herb/homeopathic/tincture offerings. The thing is... For people to be finicky about you is really one of the silliest things I can imagine. I would think that those folks who have a penchant for being miffed in huge stores should stay out of them. The thing is... they'll never be satisfied... and well... that's not YOUR fault. I even took my daughter to the playland and the lady that was watching the kids was a doll! Parking was very ample. Aisles are nice and wide. Always been a fan of Freddies and prefer some stores over others. I have noticed a big change since Kroger bought Fred Meyer. At first there was not much but I am now seeing less and less of all the private label items that made Fred Meyer so great and more and more of Kroger brand goods. I see a future at Fred Meyer where the store we all came to love is just a name on the facade. The produce department at this location was unimpressive I went to get some organic broccoli crowns and what they had were smallish crowns on very long and thick stalks. I mentioned to the produce guy that it was ridiculous that they would not cut any of the stalks off of what they were selling as crowns and mentioned that the non organic less priced per pound crowns were trimmed. His reply was, "That's the way we get them from the supplier, It's outta our control". I searched and searched all over for pizza sauce, not with pasta sauce, not with tomato sauce...... finally I asked a woman who worked there and she said she knew. She went to where the tomato sauce was and says Oh it used to be on top. She searched around the places I had and couldn't find it and said she was going to get someone to help. She disappears for 5 minutes and then I see her searching down the same isles again and then disappears. I am left standing there for quite a time longer wondering where she went and when she's coming back and I look and see her helping people at the checkout! She left me standing not able to find it herself and didn't even bother to come back and say she had no idea. I figure I'll just leave and then run into another guy who I mention it to and he takes me immediately to where it indeed is. read more

I think it shows on a week night when no one is in there yet on weekends there are lines of desperate people trying to not only get out of this store but also to find what they are looking for. Its so disorganized. Why not just put all pasta in one pasta area.???? Its lime hide and go seek pasta. Milk. Chocolate milk is here but almond rice milk is here and regular milk is here. Organic milk thats completly different. Does it need to be this way? The checkouts??? This is the only Fred Meyer i have been in where there are areas of checking out. But sometimes they are staffed and sometimes not. Deli counter 1 person waiting on line of people the others walk around behind the counter pretending to be busy. I came here to get gas today thanks to my Fred Meyer rewards I was able to get gas for $.99 it only cost me $14.08 to fill up my tank I cannot believe it. Yeah the line was long but it was worth it when inside the store because they now have a simply organic section. The layout of the store has been remodeled it is phenomenal in there it's not cluttered!! They had tastings out you could taste the cheeses different products with being made, ect. I mean this is similar to the Hollywood Fred Meyer's on 33rd and Broadway. Fred Meyers always has been high with prices so you can expect nothing less read more

9/10 times, this Freddies has exactly what I need, but not always which is why I'm bumping down to 4 stars. I actually make a point to come here instead of Freddies on 82nd and Foster which is closest to my house because it's so much nicer...and there are no crackheads roaming...not really, anyway. Pricewise, Freddies isn't always cheaper than Winco, but they often have 2-fer's or 10/$10 deals that you can't really beat anywhere else. My downright, absolute most favorite thing about Freddies no matter which one you go to are the checkstand lines! They keep them moving so quickly, it's amazing. Even on an insanely business day or the holidays, I never have to wait too long. Yesterday, a younger kid rang me up in seriously 3 minutes from first scan to my receipt. Incredible, considering I had quite a bit of groceries. They're renovating this store right now so it's kind of a mess, but they always make sure to have employees constantly asking if you need help finding anything - chances are you will because it's all over the place. While in the check out line I asked the baggie lady, Margie to please not over stuff the bags because it makes it hard for me to carry with my bad hip and my husbands bad shoulder. She proceeds to slam my pears and bananas in the bag. I asked her then to please stop slamming my groceries, she starts arguing with me. I ask my cashier where the manager was and he pointed in her direction. Old Margie goes running to the manager and said she needed to go home because she was so upset. Store seems to be cutting down on cashiers and urging customers to use self checkout- which is fine except they do not have enough self check out support. This means waiting in a long line or usually waiting at self checkout. I do not recommend buying alcohol at self checkout either- as it slows transactions down even further. If you scan alcohol, you cannot continue ringing up your groceries while you wait for attendant, instead attendant has to come to clear alcohol purchase immediately. (there will usually always be a wait). I like the products at this store but Safeway is my preferred grocery store after giving this fred meyer many chances. read more
