Initially when we did our project the contractor took us to view a few of his projects and although we found it strange that he did not share contact information of his clients he paraded a number of projects for our review. Once we started working with him we soon found that the personality of the owner was toxic. He fought with all the people who we brought to him, it was a constant battle with rude phone calls, emails, and even personal conversations. We had built and renovated before but never had had such a difficult relationship with the builder. After a few weeks we were just wanting to finish the project but it took months before we could finish and not submit ourselves to such bad and negative behavior. On a number of occasions we pointed out bad building errors and the contractor acted very defensively and kept saying he was the best, which of course he was not. A few months after the construction we noticed the tiles in the bathroom were leaking through which took weeks for him to accept he had laid them wrong. In short we ended replacing all the tiles in the bathroom. About two years after the project was done we started having ceiling and floor cracks and found out from another contractor that proper building code was not followed. We had to replace part of the ceiling and floor. Just a nightmare we will never forget!

I live in a community where several homeowners (including HOA board members) have used Lee Goldstein Construction for their projects. I met Lee for the estimate and he explained exactly what would be done, how they would protect my appliances and provided a price in a few days. The workers arrived this morning and did an amazing job! They quickly removed all of the cabinets, took them outside to break them up and put them on their truck for disposal and cleaned up the areas after completion. The whole process took less than 3 hours. I was truly impressed. I saw one review that had one star - I'm not quite sure what this person experienced, but in my decades-long experience working with contractors and tradespeople, I can confidently say that Lee Goldstein did a great job for me and quite a few people in our community.
