In the texts and call leading up to our first session we told them exactly what we were interested in, even sending YT video links. When we arrived, the instructor had no clue and instead insisted the we learn the one he wanted us to. And to be fair, as soon as we stepped in it was clear this studio is really not geared for line dances. I wish they would have just told us that. If you want ballroom or wedding first dance stuff, they look like a place to check out. But for casual small group stuff, I would not recommend. But, we had some fun and, since this was a gift to a friend, we even went for our second session, figuring the instructor had seen what we could do. Again, we told him EXACTLY what we wanted. Still, when we arrived for the second session, the instructor had not given our wish list a look. While we waited, he did go look at a video for Shivers, and then attempted to teach it. It was terrible. Heck, even anyone who has seen DWTS knows you count movements. When we asked him to, it was clear he was annoyed and his steps were not even close to the many videos online. Furthermore, I don't think he taught any of the dances the same way twice. Sometimes we would end one way, sometimes halfway through the steps, etc. It's clear from his moves, when we saw him working with a solo before we arrived, that he is a good dancer, just not the type of dancing we were looking for. It was super disappointing as these sessions were a gift for one of the people going on the cruise. Ballroom dancing, sure they are worth a look, but you had better make sure they are going to teach you what you want and NOT what they want to teach. NOT this place! After the first class I think everyone that worked there already knew my daughters name. We started with my almost four year old. She LOVED it from day one! The teachers are absolutely incredible! After my two year old watched our oldest enough times, she started wanting to take dance class. She in VERY introverted so we thought there was no way she would do it. They held an open house one Saturday, and we took our two year old. Literally one of the instructors scooped up our two year olds hand with a huge smile on her face, and started teaching her. She LOVED IT. We signed her up but we still weren't sure if she would like it. Well she didn't like it, she LOVED it! So now our almost four year old and two year old both go here. Everyday they wake up asking if they get to go to dance class today! I've even had text conversation with the OWNER helping me sign up or answer questions. That's unheard of these days. Pros: AM has an awesome staff of instructors! They have some of the brightest, funnest, and skilled Dancers I have seen yet. Their professionalism and ability to teach you to dance is absolutely solid! Cons: Price and Exclusivity. Price - AM is around 65% higher than independent studios in the area. They may tell you to weigh the "all you can take" group lessons, but even with that in mind the total cost is high since many studios do charge for groups but the price of group lessons is very low. Also, the additional "shows" are very costly not only to get into, buy into "heats' and the additional lessons to consider. They will push going to shows very hard. Exclusivity - the management of AM will aggressively call you out if you talk about outside dance events not associated with AM. In my case I was posting about dance events around town and got a stern reprimand from the owner that he could not allow me to do this. Needless to say that as a consumer I am now exercising my rights to do business elsewhere. Bottom line - if you want to learn to dance well they can for sure teach you to do so - it will just be very costly. If you want to get into the entire spectrum of dancing at multiple venues around town then it is best to look at other options!

My fiance and I came in to start lessons slightly embarrassed by our lack of grace on the dance floor, but they made us feel very comfortable. Our personal instructor was Stephanie and she is AWESOME. Our first introductory lesson was 30 minutes and was free - we loved it so much and ended up booking their basic foundations package (4 private lessons, 45 minutes each). Cons: While they are very nice, this may not be the best place to learn to dance unless you have a nice disposable income. The foundations package was $540, but each lesson was really only 30 minutes long with the last 15 minutes of the class just talking about technique and planning what to do for future lessons. The one thing that we really disliked is how pushy the staff is for you to schedule your next lesson with them... it's almost like they are forcing you to ensure that you come back. Stephanie, fortunately, was the only one who seemed to understand our hectic schedule and allowed us to schedule our lessons at our convenience. All in all, I highly recommend taking dance lessons, and if you are unsure if Arthur Murray is a good fit for you, try out their introductory lesson and see how you like it. We now have a new found love and appreciation for dancing after taking several lessons here

Again, not a single introduction as to whom he was, no inquiry about who I was, no other words other than "you need to leave." I told him I would. I grabbed my kids, and left, asked for my money back, and never looked back. The only person that cared to ask why we were leaving was the dance teacher. If you people are under the impression that 1) you're doing someone a favor and preventing Covid by kicking ONE parent (which is a vaccinated Covid nurse by the way) out and keeping MULTIPLE others IN the ACTUAL studio just prior to my kids being in there WITHOUT masks, you're absolute fools and 2) leaving two young females with some RANDOM dude (owner or not) who did NOT even introduce himself to me and treated me with nothing but RUDENESS and DISRESPECT and amongst people I've never met in my life....you are really something with some type of audacity.
