If you want to take dance lessons for your wedding day or some other social event, Fred Astaire Brookfield is a fantastic choice. Here is my experience.... I initially went to Fred Astaire Brookfield so my fiance and I could take some lessons and dance better at our wedding, which was in just 2 months. We both had very little exposure to dancing and were nervous at first. Our instructor was so fantastic. In that short time she taught us some basic concepts about dance, helped us choose a song for our "First Dance", and choreographed a short routine. It was an absolute highlight of our Wedding Day and now, two years later, our families still talk about it. And we are still dancing together!!!! The studio offers a spectrum of instructional and social opportunities. You could be a casual dance student or there is the option to dance competitively at a regional or national level. Most of the lessons we have taken are private 1-on-1 lessons, however, there are group classes with interesting topics, as well. And they bring in highly accomplished, national coaches occasionally. There are in-studio themed dance parties, which are fun and reinforce concepts learned in lessons. And throughout the year, they plan some out-of-studio excursions, too. My husband and I have done some local performances and regional competitions. And we have discovered a life-long hobby that has taught us things about each other and about ourselves, which we never would have found out otherwise. Fred Astaire Brookfield is one of the best run businesses in the Greater Milwaukee area. The level of consistent and sincere professionalism is unmatched. The management team and support staff is top-notch. The instructors are extremely qualified in their own professional dancing careers, as well as being able to translate and adapt the skills and knowledge they have acquired to fit the needs of the students. There really is no better place to learn ballroom and latin dance than this studio! I love it here, I can never say enough about this place. All the instructors are fantastic. I have been taking lessons at FADS Brookfield for a year now and I can't get enough. The energy radiating from the entire studio cannot be matched anywhere else. The instructors, managers, and other students are the nicest and more encouraging bunch of people I know. I can call the studio anytime during business hours to address any and all questions and concerns I may have. Fred Astaire Brookfield is fantastic! I have been a student there since 2007 and have no intention of going anywhere else for dance lessons. From the moment you walk in the door you are treated like a member of their family. The staff is polite, courteous and goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience possible every time you walk through that door. The instructors are very skilled in their craft and teach everything from salsa to foxtrot. You don't have to have any dance experience when you go there. From day 1 they will teach you the basics and work on improving those steps as they build up to more advanced patterns. I have also made so many wonderful life-long friends through this studio. I have been with Fred Astaire Brookfield for almost 2 years and if you want to learn how to dance Rumba, Cha-Cha, Tango, Waltz and many more dances then you should learn from the best and the instructor at this studio are. They take the time with you until you understand every single move. They are always professional and want you to succeed. They will have you doing dance moves you never thought were possible. They also have a great Friday night party were everyone can get together to dance, talk, eat and have fun. I really enjoy my experiences with this studio. The staff are well trained, attentive, and proffessional. Dance experiences include lessons, practice parties, competitions (local and national) and every year a fabulous show called Dance Fantasy. The Fred Astaire studios in this area of Milwaukee are dedicated to improving the quality of peoples lives. Many of their events support local and national charities and causes including most recently the Wounded Warrior Project. I love this place. Joining this studio has been wonderful. Everyone is nice, the instructors are very knowledgeable and patient ;-) and everyone makes you feel at home. I have been in this studio since January of this year, and everything from the people, to the lessons, the parties, and the events have been wonderful and very well organized. What a fantastic experience. The staff at this location makes you feel like you have been friends for years. When first going there I didn't know what I wanted more the exercise I knew would automatically be part of it or the fact that I was learning the skill of ballroom. You can go there with a partner or without it doesn't matter. They completely work around your schedule; you can go as much or as little as you want. The studio is positively an awesome place for dance lessons. Everyone there is great and they consider your abilities and encourage you. Not only do they encourage you and push you, but they are fun :) The studio stays on task and always helps you when needed. The lessons are always challenging but also so much fun!! I was always a very self-conscience and shy person, but through the help of the very caring and professional instructors, they gave me the confidence to do things I never imagined. I have loved my experience at the Fred Astaire Studio in Brookfield. Dancing is something I have always loved to do. There are many aspects to dancing and they cover them all. The steps, position, tempo, etc. Though I started dancing for exercise I gained much more.. We have been going to this studio for over 2 yrs. The staff is terrific, the atmosphere is kind and helpful, and overall tons of fun with other students. My 7 yr old is in the Juniors program and i am in the adult program. The speed by which they cover information is quick and i feel pushed every day. The teachers are wonderful and you feel like you've been adopted into a family:). It is a lot of fun and I leave each lesson feeling happy. Only con to this place is the price. Very expensive!
